S T O R I E SWillowfeather's Love "Hold on Willowfeather, you're almost there!" a white tom mewed comfortingly to a brown tabby she-cat who was currently giving birth in the Thornclan nursery. Sunstar was sitting outside of the den, as it was his mate who was birthing his kits. The early greenleaf sun shone through the green leafy cover from the trees, casting its warm rays onto the ground as a slight breeze rustled the ferns above the thickly-woven bramble den.
Within moments the white tom padded outside, going straight to his leader. The sun made his pelt glow a blinding tone, and Sunstar had to squint to be able to look at his medicine cat.
"Congratulations on a healthy litter," the white tom purred, closing his golden eyes for a moment as he padded into the shade. "A tom and a she-kit," he added.
"May I see them, Frostcloud?" Sunstar asked, having risen to his paws as soon as the medicine cat had padded outside of the bramble den. Even after all these moons the great leader still asked Frostcloud for advice from time to time when his trusted deputy, Thistleflower, couldn't answer the golden tom. This was a different cause, yes, but even Sunstar knew better to ask Frostcloud, as the golden-eyed tom was older than his leader.
"Of course, Sunstar," Frostcloud purred and padded past the golden tom, brushing his flank slightly with his fluffy white tail. Sunstar watched his medicine cat go, then turned and padded inside the dark bramble nursery. He had to blink several times before his eyes adjusted to the gloomy light inside.
Willowfeather was laying on her side, two striped bundles of fur nursing by her belly. One was ginger, the other one looked more like her father - a golden-brown tone with faint stripes visible in the short fur. Coppertooth was laying down in her nest deeper in the dark den, her two kits looking wide-eyed and excited at their newborn denmates. Alderkit and Elmkit were both four moons old so they wouldn't be staying in the nursery for long, but they seemed excited either way.
Sunstar looked at Willowfeather, love shining in his green eyes as his gaze drifted at the newborns. "They're beautiful, just like you," he murmured softly, a purr rising in his throat.
"I'm sure they'll be as strong as you, Sunstar," Willowfeather mewed back as she too looked at her litter. "What should we name them? Maybe Fawnkit for the she-kit?"
"It's a lovely name," Sunstar purred, looking at the ginger tabby who had stopped suckling and was now curled up into a tight ball next to Fawnkit. "The other one could be Brackenkit," he mewed.
"Brackenkit, Fawnkit, welcome to Thornclan," Willowfeather and Sunstar meowed at the same time, Sunstar nuzzling his mate.Stormstar's Fury"Duneclan! How dare you trespass onto our territory!" Stormstar hissed, baring his fangs at the Duneclan leader who had a patrol of her Clan's cats right behind her. Their normally sleek pelts were now fluffed up in anger, teeth bared and claws unsheathed, glinting in the pale morning light."We go where we please, Stormstar. You have no right to command me or my Clan!" Rubblestar growled, lowering herself to the ground, facing the angry Thornclan patrol behind Stormstar. Sunstep, the deputy of Thornclan, padded up to stand beside his leader."Leave now. This is our territory," the golden tom growled, green eyes meeting Rubbelstar's copper ones. Doveleaf, Duneclan's deputy, came to face her enemies, her lapis blue eyes glinting in the faint light as the sun was covered by a dark, stormy cloud."Rubblestar, you're not going to just walk away, are you?" Stormstar heard Doveleaf hiss in her leader's ear, and the gray tom unsheathed his claws in anger. There was a moment of silence, soon abruptly split as Rubblestar shook his head and yowled, "Attack!" He gave the signal and the clearing with the Cut Stream was suddenly alive with cats as heavy raindrops started falling from the sky.Slatefeather attacked Mapletooth, one of the oldest and most respected Thornclan warriors. The tortoiseshell she-cat swiftly evaded the attack, baring her long teeth. Mapletooth lunged at the silver Duneclan tom, slashing his flank and leaving a deep, bleeding mark. Slatefeather crashed into the undergrowth, getting some thorns in his pelt. Mapletooth lunged at the tom again, grabbing him by his scruff and yanking the tom out of the bushes with a grunt as Slatefeather let out a yowl. Mapletooth let him go and the tom fled, the tortoiseshell leaving another mark in his pelt, this time on his leg.Stormstar was locked into a fight with Rubblestar. They were dealing each other about equal amount of damage, but Stormstar was more experienced than the young Rubblestar, and soon the Duneclan leader was thrown back. She landed heavily onto the ground, but she also had a deep cut on her throat which caused her to lose her eight life. Stormstar was standing on top of Rubblestar when she recovered, but didn't show it, making Stormstar think she had just lost her last life.Nearby, Froststrike was getting beaten up by three Thornclan apprentices - Dawnpaw, Buzzardpaw and Mousepaw - when suddenly Mudscar jumped to his defense. He sunk his teeth into Buzzardpaw's back, yanking him off of Froststrike. Buzzardpaw's yowl quickly turned into a meowl for help which was abruptly cut off as the apprentice landed, crashing his head onto a rock which instantly killed the young apprentice. His face was torn, his ears were missing and he had long scratch marks on his flanks. This fueled the rage in Dawnpaw and Mousepaw. The two were excellent when fighting together, which came to good use this time. Dawnpaw raced at Froststrike, using her small build to her advantage against the huge white tom as she slid under him, then swiftly twisted around and started slashing his underbelly.Just as Froststrike was about to jump off the larger sister, Mousepaw, leapt onto his back, not letting go as she bit and scratched him. Eventually Froststrike managed to break free, running away from the two apprentices. Mudscar had disappeared into the heat of the battle, fighting against Cootpaw, another apprentice, Willowfeather, and Shellfeather, one of the youngest warriors. The trio were holding their ground against the stronger Duneclan warrior, but soon he was defeated and retreated.Rosepaw and Vinepaw were fighting against Swiftdapple, a quick and clever Thornclan warrior, and Coppertooth. The two Duneclan apprentices were soon joined by Stoneleaf, but even then they were no match for Thornclan warriors. They had to admit, Thornclan's warriors were stronger, more clever than Duneclan's quicker swimmers and the few with more stamina than most others.Rubblestar suddenly arose and didn't give Stormstar any time as suddenly the two switched places, Rubblestar biting down onto Stormstar's neck. He had taken a life from the gray leader as well, but Stormstar still had a couple left.In Starclan, Stormstar saw his mother, Skyclaw, waiting for him. "Stormstar, be careful. You only need to make Duneclan retreat, not kill their leader. If you kill Rubblestar, Doveleaf will become Dovestar and bring more destruction than you could want! If you need to desperately kill someone, it's her," she warned, her gray and white fur clean of the scars she received when the dogs had attacked Thornclan's camp. They lost many that night, including some loved ones.Stormstar only nodded. He wanted to say more to his dear mother, but he was thrown back into the rainy clearing, a Rubblestar holding him down. Stormstar opened his eyes and brought his strength together, then kicked his opponent's belly. With a yelp the Duneclan leader was thrown back again. Stormstar was about to attack him when something white flashed in the corner of his vision. Doveleaf!Stormstar barely evaded the Duneclan deputy's attack as she rushed in straight for his throat. He twisted back to his paws and snarled, going in for the offensive and diving in, looking to throw her off the small cliff the trio were on. Sharp stones were clustered below, and Stormstar knew that if a cat falls on them, they're more than likely to receive a fatal injury, and it was the way the gray tom wanted to get rid of the enemy's deputy.A new fury arose within Stormstar - hatred, mixed with madness, fear, pain and many more emotions. As Doveleaf propelled herself at Stormstar again, furiously snarling Stormstar stepped aside, then pushed her over the edge and on to the stones. With a wail of fright the she-cat fell, crashing onto the pointed rocks. The two warring Clans fell silent as all heads turned to Doveleaf's lifeless body, crushed from falling onto the rocks. Duneclan warriors looked at each other, then turned tail and fled the scene, leaving only Rubblestar there.Stormstar walked to the Duneclan leader slowly. "We call them the Deathspines for a reason, Rubblestar," he growled and watched the Duneclan leader run after his Clanmates. Yet no one cheered for this victory. That day, Mousepaw and Dawnpaw got their warrior names, Mouseface and Dawnstorm.Scarheart's JourneyScarpaw awoke in the Gladeclan apprentice's den after a very disturbing dream. He dreamt he was running away from the Clans, not even looking back, with voices whispering all around him. Why him though? Scarpaw had no idea, but he wanted to know so he decided to tell the medicine cat of his nightmare. He got up from his nest and padded outside.
Snow covered the ground, a soft, white powder hiding the dusty ground. Frost covered the shrivelled ferns dotted around the clearing, now brown with white edges. There were no footsteps visible on the snowy ground, indicating the dawn patrol hadn't left yet. But that wasn't much of a surprise - the faintest colours of dawn had been painted in the dark sky. Scarpaw was the only one awake.
It was silent, and as Scarpaw sat down in the snow with a crunch, it became quiet once again. No wind stirred the ferns, no cat was waking up. No bird was awake yet, and the lake was quiet. Scarpaw felt like he was the only one even alive, the last living being. All sleep was gone from him, and so he kept sitting there, all by himself, waiting for life. And he waited.

"Hey, you there! Yes, you," a large, ginger tabby meows, beckoning to you with his long, sleek, striped tail. Stepping closer inside the Thornclan elder's den, you notice he's the only one here. "There are hidden tales everywhere, you know," the tabby suddenly meows, catching your attention again, "and, fortunately or unfortunately, I know so many of them. It's not easy being cursed to live forever, you know, but it does have it's fruits. But before I get carried away, get yourself some fresh-kill and get comfortable. Oh and where are my manners, I'm Brackenstripe, the last Clan cat to ever be. I've collected all these tales, and it's about time someone else learned them too."L O R EThere were three Clans - Thornclan, Duneclan and Gladeclan - living in a big forest that had a central lake in the middle where the three territories met. They didn't fight outsiders as much as they fought each other, when a great starvation came. It slowly killed the three Clans off, leaving only Brackenstripe alive - a cat cursed to live forever, unable to die from any cause.D I S C L A I M E RThese stories are purely made for fun. They're not long, however they may include death and sad scenes. This isn't based on any role-play, this is just new OCs in a new world.
Enjoy!
