Hurrying towards the den it was clear that the calls of the medicine cat had gotten other cats’ attention as well. As soon as she saw Lilyheart was making her way over Wildberry had disappeared back inside the den. The one-eyed cat quickly made her way to the den pausing in the entrance to take a look at what was happening before running into the chaos. When she saw that Wildberry was over Redsky’s nest her heart dropped like a stone in her chest. Ducking into the den she went to stand by the Riverclan cat’s nest. She was writhing in pain and gasping for breaths as Wildberry was standing half way between her and the herbs they had, clearly trying to find something that would help. “What happened?” Lilyheart mewed urgently as she crouched down low to the she-cat’s side having to steer clear of her flailing limbs. “I don’t know. I turned my back and then she started gasping for air.” Wildberry tried to explain as she quickly scanned the herb stores for anything. In the meantime the Shadowclan medicine cat pressed her ear to her chest trying to listen to her breathing, wincing when she felt one of Redsky’s paws slam into her side.
She listened for several heart beats until Redsky fell completely limp again. Lilyheart pressed her ear as hard to the she-cat’s chest able to make out a heart beat. “I can’t hear anything.” She yowled loudly to Wildberry quickly moving to put her paws on Redsky’s ribs all the while praying to Starclan. The medicine cat did compressions on the she-cat’s chest for several tense moments but, it didn’t seem to be doing anything. She stepped aside to trade places with Wildberry as she did her best to try and get Redsky’s heart beat back. Panting Wildberry stepped away and the moment she did, her tail dragging behind her, the Riverclan cat gasped, seeming to miraculously spring to life just behind her. Both medicine cats just aside in shock as the Riverclan she-cat not only seemed to come back to life but, opened her eyes and began to slowly look around. Lilyheart and Wildberry exchanged bewildered looks before moving to go check on the newly conscious cat.
Cinderkit continued to try and badger the smaller fox with swipes at his side. They weren’t particularly powerful or precise but, he kept swiping at his side and softer underbelly persistently. Still, the kit would give anything to go running tail back into his nest right now. He was more terrified than he had ever been in his life. Luckily for them Tawnyface had shown up. Otherwise they would have been fox food already. Still, the warrior had her paws full with the bigger of the two foxes. So, he just kept swiping and hoping that more help would show up from somewhere.
His ears perked forwards a bit catching her brief smile that confirmed that apologizing to Applepaw first was the right choice to make. He tipped his head to the side as instead of trying to discourage him from taking Applepaw to Riverclan...instead she somewhat awkwardly offered to come with. His whiskers twitched the tiniest bit as he glanced over towards Applepaw. “Think he’d probably appreciate having you come along. I think he’ll need all the support he can get.” Of course Mousepaw wouldn’t mind having the chance to spend some more time with Leafpaw but, he kept that to himself. “If you want to come you should probably eat. Applepaw is probably going to want to leave as soon as he wakes up.” Mousepaw added stretching out his front legs a little as he did so.
Longshadow didn’t immediately stop or even slow down when he heard a cat behind him clear their throat. The senior warrior was already rather fed up with being treated like a kit being confined to camp so, he was most certainly in no mood to address any cats that were going to try to convince him to stay in camp now. Still he reluctantly stop when Russetfur spoke up to question his decision to venture out of camp. “If I do than so be it.” He snapped at the younger cat. Getting older had certainly not softened all of his edges, especially towards traitors like Russetfur that for some reason hadn’t been run out of the territory all together. If his leg would allow it he would have chased him out himself. “Wildberry can hiss and spit all she wants at me all she wants.”
He moved to continue his hobbled march towards the entrance. “I sat by while Dogclaw was taken. I’m not going to do that again.” The tom insisted already sticking his head through the entrance to awkwardly make his way through. He paused when Russetfur asked outright what he needed. “I need to make sure nothing has happened to Tawnyface. If you want to come along I can’t stop you but, I don’t need anything from you.” The old cat humphed before turning and making his unceremonious exit from camp.

Shadowpaw couldn't help but grow more and more concerned as he started hearing concerned yowling from the medicine cat's den, and his ears went flat forgetting completely about checking for how many cats had seen him crying. He began approaching the medicine cat's den, not trying to hide his approach like the warrior pressed up to the outer side of the den. His eyes grew wide as he approached and started receiving a clearer idea of what was going on inside of the den. His heart had suddenly gone from a slightly quicker than normal pace to thumping hard enough to make hearing a harder task.Lavenderfur's ears folded back as he heard what was occuring inside of the den, that Redsky was suddenly taking a dive for the worse, fading from them for the second time. He lowered himself to the ground as his legs began shaking violently and he began muttering to himself in distress as if it could stem off her coming death.
All at once his world came to a stop as Lilyheart loudly yowled that she couldn't hear anything--He sucked in a hard breath and didn't let it go, holding himself there unbreathing as he tried to process the news regarding the Riverclan she-cat. It couldn't already be happening. He knew she was in bad shape, but he hadn't even had the chance to admit his culpability to her yet.Shadowpaw took a step forward, then another, and another as Lilyheart yowled that the she-cat wasn't breathing, his wide eyes only getting wider as he slowly approached trying to think of something to do that could help and being unable to find absolutely anything that he could do to help bring bak Redsky now that she had left them behind. His ears folded back same as Lavenderfur's and his mouth dropped open as he gazed at the still and silent figure of her body, all at once horror spilling over him and stabbing its way into his heart.
When she seemed to sputter back to life at the most dramatic of moments, Shadowpaw released a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding and Lavenderfur released the one that he had known of. Shadowpaw took a step back as felt the world going a little bit dizzy as relief washed over him so quickly after the feeling of dread and horror, knocking him down off his paws as he had to settle down from his shaking legs. Lavenderfur choked a bit as he heard her spring back to life and he set into a coughing fit, finally standing up on wobbly legs as she came back to life. "I...By Starclan, I..." He was still muttering to himself, not speaking to Shadowpaw nor into the den it seemed. "...How can you ever forgive my actions?"The fox was being battered from two sides by two kits and more than fatally damaging it, they seemed to be slowly giving him small wounds repeatedly, hurting enough to bother but not enough to damage the creature seriously. It finally seemed to get enough blood out of its eyes to only sting rather than blind it, and it finally lurched towards the side, rolling away from the two kittens as best it could and trying to pick itself up onto its legs, giving a hideous noise of hate once it had done so, blood trickling down in small trickles from various wounds. Not giving a moment of hesitation, it pushed forward at the kitten that had struck at its eyes.
Before Ebonykit could retreat from the rising fox, it had advanced and was approaching at a fast speed--terror paralyzed his paws and he only could try to pull away from the fox as its claws sliced forward and deep into his small chest, causing a horrible cry of pain from the kit as he staggered back whilst the fox, immediately after slicing into Ebonykit, pushed forward further in an attempt to bite his neck out.
Tawnyface had tried finishing the parent fox then and there once again, but she was getting careless in her attempts to quickly end this and the fox had knocked her onto the ground and was again tumbling with the creature. Scrambling to her paws more quickly this time, she let out another yowl of pain as claws tore down her other side again before she was quickly headbutted by the creature, one of the most swift creatures she had ever fought against. Giving a violent hiss, she realized she needed to switch tactics after going down for the third time.
She cried out a second times as a paw stomped down on her neck and she felt claws quickly inserting themselves into her neck; knowing she was mere moments from a horrid and painful death, she she thrust herself upward (further into the claws) to headbutt the fox as hard as she could, the only move she knew to repel this sort of attack; whether it be great fortune from Starclan or simply her calculating well, the fox reared back stunned, giving Tawnyface the chance to deliver a quick slash across its underbelly, though nowhere near deadly enough to take it down. Quickly rolling behind herself, she pulled up onto her paws and readied for another advance, ready to spring to the side or roll under as was needed--she looked to have taken a far more cautious and analyzing stance, as she somehow remained in between the kits and the larger fox.
Leafpaw quietly cleared her throat as she glanced over to Applepaw again, then quietly nodded at Mousepaw's suggestion. She couldn't help but wonder how Redsky was recovering in this moment and if she was able to welcome her kitten back to the clan after whatever bad wounds she had received. Leaving this thought behind for a minute, she turned back to the rabbit, picking it up and stepping towards the entrance of the den to exit, glancing behind her to see if Mousepaw was going to follow. She was ready to offer him some rabbit if he followed along with her.Russetfur sighed quietly as Longshadow showed the same irrational grouchiness and anger that he almost always did, shaking his head at the cat's response to an offer for help. He seemed to be half-heartedly listening to the senior's words of defiance, but his ears perked up and his eyes came alive as the warrior mentioned who he was looking for. "You let the Shadowclan scum out of the camp to explore our territory while--" Longshadow was already leaving, having likely no patience for his view on Tawnyface nor his preference to still refer to the territory as his. A growl began emitting from his throat as Russetfur felt a very small yet present desire to claw the arrogant senior warrior's eyes out of their sockets. Well, fine. I'm not even supposed to be a part of this clan anyways. If you want it to rot of corruption from the inside, so be it Longshadow. If they come for us I will have no regrets. I wanted to protect all of you, and you expelled us. Ignoring the cats 'offer' to come along, he turned away with a significantly more sour look on his face, looking for someone else to bother.

Lilyheart was completely stunned by what had just happened. She was in so much shock she could feel her whole body shaking. The she-cat that had seemingly died right before their eyes, dramatically came back to life and was now awake. She could hear the sounds of cats outside. She didn’t know who it was but, she imagined that they were just as surprised as she was. She finally took a step towards the she-cat almost seeming afraid to approach her at first. Maybe she was being silly but, it was a little unnerving to her to see a cat die and come back without much rhyme or reason.
Her mouth was still hanging partially open as she carefully examined the she-cat listening to her breathing. Everything seemed much more stable and normal now. Letting out a sigh of relief she paused when she heard Lavenderfur’s mutterings outside the den. Shifting a bit uncomfortably there wasn’t much she shook her head unable to do anything for the tom. She had to focus her energy on the she-cat, now that she was awake.
Redsky’s eyes were still rather unfocused as they moved from one side of the den to the other. She didn’t react to the voices above her or the medicine cat that crouched down to monitor her breath. It took quite a while for her mind to finally come out of a seemingly endless fog. Her eyes became a bit more focused as she took in more of the den. It was daylight now...she didn’t see any of her clanmates but, they were all cats she could recognize as allies. Her body visibly tensed. Where was her kit? Was her kit alright? She looks around the den became much more frantic as she caught Lilyheart’s eyes.
The medicine cat rested her paw on Redsky’s side. “Redsky can you understand me?” She mewed quietly. Redsky opened her mouth to signal she did..but, only a sour groan came out causing a sharp pain in throat. Coughing loudly she winced a little. Swallowing thickly she settled to nod her head. Lilyheart sighed again smiling to the she-cat. “I’m glad. The camp is fine and so is Applepaw.” She mewed in an attempt to reassure her but, the look on Redsky’s face made it clear she wasn’t convinced. She tried again to speak her mind only to be sent into a fit of coughed and whizzes instead. Each one shaking her whole body.
Cinderkit watched in silent horror as the fox’s claws caught his brother’s chest. Letting out a cry of surprise of his own he hurried towards his brother. Adding to his desperation was the fact that his back legs weren’t responding properly like he wanted them to. Despite this he scrambled towards his brother, making a desperate lunge for the fox’s face to knock him away from Ebonykit.
Mousepaw was a bit surprised by Leafpaw looking back at him as she went to leave the den. He hadn’t made up his mind at first but, seemed to make up his mind. Getting to his paws he slowly followed Leafpaw out of the den. He did pause to glance at Applepaw before following her out. Whatever state Redsky might be in at least the apprentice would be back to his clan. Then he would be their problem not Windclans. In a perfect world he would be able to see his mother and have a tearful reunion but, he had his doubts about that happening.
What little he heard of Russetfur’s words as he left camp was nearly enough to make him want to turn around and rake his claws across the tom’s muzzle. He would admit he was one of the first cats to judge Tawnyface but..things had changed from then to now. Growling to himself he stalked along the moor doing his best to push the irksome cat out of his mind. He would deal with him later. Opening his mouth to taste the air he was shocked when he tasted the distinct smell of blood and the strong stench of fox. That was enough to send him pelting for the scent. The first few steps wrenched his leg and he had to set his jaw to try and ignore the pain. Wildberry’s ridiculous stretches thankfully had helped keep his leg from getting too stiff. He ran a short distance before already starting to huff and puff a bit from his lack of fitness. He growled to himself and continued on with his stubborn determination that propelled him forwards. The distant cries of cats and the stronger scents made him run that much faster. It wasn’t just Tawnyface he could clearly smell, but Ebonykit and Cinderkit as well.
Ducking his head a little he continued to run until he got over the hill and was able to see what was happening. His eyes widened and he shot down the hill as fast as his legs would carry him. The old tom looked over the situation seeing, Tawnyface was closer to him. She also seemed to have some control of the situation. He raced past her and went straight for the baby. Hissing he went in to slam into the fox’s side with full force and put himself it and Ebonykit who he was moving to fast to get a good look at.

Finally, as the she-cat seemed to have awareness of her surroundings and made attempts to speak to the cats around her, Shadowpaw forced himself back onto his paws. Despite the slight spinning in his head he advanced on the den, approaching as Lilyheart finished speaking. He entered the den and padded over to Lilyheart's side as she checked Redskys condition. "Redsky, do you want me to get Applepaw? I just saw him in camp, and he's worried about you and wants to see you." Maybe it was bad timing and Wildberry would claw his eyes out later, but he felt like this was the only thing he could do to make Redsky feel a little better about all of this. He gazed down at her, his heart pounding as he gazed at the wound that still seemed agitated despite the intensive bandaging.
Ebonykit was too terrified in this moment, but he would have been crying from the pain if there wasn't a fox here trying to murder him. His eyes were caught on the blood now starting to trickle down his chest in big rivers, meeting with his underbelly and then dropping to the floor below him. He didn't even seem to notice the approaching fox as he started staggering away from the fight, trying to keep his legs straight as he tried to move with the burning wounds, fleeing at the fastest brisk trot his debilitating wounds would allow him.
The younger fox was barely affected by Cinderkit's blows, but as the other kit staggered back to flee it figured Cinderkit was now the bigger threat, and that he could chase down the other piece of food later. Slashing for the other kittens eyes it made another hideous sound as it only caught air, then trying to barrel over the kitten and trample him underpaw, trying to leave the kitten in a position where it would be easy to gut open his belly.
As the fox tried to do this an unseen and unsmelled figure slammed into it with such an intense force that, unlike before, sent him tumbling several tail-lengths and completely stunned as it saw stars once it came to a stop. It took it at least five seconds to start rising, leaving itself terribly open for any assault that came its way.
Tawnyface gasped as the force of a cat not quite at full speed, but quickly slammed into the baby tom, and she let out a shaky breath with relief that somebody had finally arrived. She had been worried about how this was going, especially given that she was realizing how out of practice she was after experiencing her failures in this battle. As the parent turned with a terrible hiss, Tawnyface didn't even give it a chance to approach the new entry before she had torn her claws down its side and was headbutting it with her own full force--afterwards, when it was lying on the ground in front of her and rising quickly, she lurched forward and sunk her teeth into its neck, and began violently shaking the creature as its claws scrabbled and made little scratches at her chest, though it was nowhere near enough to stop the violently bleeding open neck that was getting larger every second. It was a savagely-done move, clearly in the vein of Nightstar's teachings, but she didn't care.
Leafpaw settled down several tail lengths outside of the den, placing the rabbit at her paws and then waiting for Mousepaw to approach. "Do you want to share it? Have you eaten?" She glanced at his stomach to see how nourished he looked after these last several complicated quarter-moons. To her surprise, there were a few small wounds which she hadn't noticed before. Narrowing her eyes to slits to investigate them it became clear that she was concerned as she glanced back up into his eyes with a puzzled expression.

The she-cat’s coughing fit clearly left her winded and exhausted with a burning sensation spreading through her throat. Still, despite this her eyes still darting rather anxiously around the den. The reassurances meant nothing to her right now, she needed to see her kit again. She couldn’t imagine how scared Applepaw must be right now. Her mind raced with that worry. Swallowing thickly her eyes became unfocused and clouded with worry not responding at first when the apprentice came to stand alongside the Shadowclan medicine cat. Her eyes cleared a little hearing Shadopaw’s mention of her cat, her eyes went a little wide when confirmed her worry for her kits. Turning her attention to the young cat she brightened eagerly nodding her head at the suggestion.
Lilyheart blinked when Shadowpaw slipped in next to her to as she looked over Redsky. His question was quite the shock for both medicine cats. It was a shock to Wildberry that the apprentice had the fake to suggest something like that. Bringing the young cat would be a complete disruption and even the suggestions was clearly working up Redsky. Narrowing her eyes the Windclan medicine cat made it clear she was not a fan of the idea. The Shadowclan medicine cat looked shocked for a different reason. She gave Shadowpaw a concerned looked, remembering his earlier attempt to cross the river before. “If you go back to camp you should take some cats back with you.” She mewed quietly. Neither medicine cats had the heart to deny the she-cat the chance to see her kit.
Cinderkit didn’t have time to celebrate the fact that his brother had gotten back up and was doing what he could to get away. He hardly had time to even realize that his brother was relatively safer. Instead he was forced to duck his head when he felt a fox’s claw swing right for his eyes. He could feel the air wheeze past ear. Then immediately afterwards the creature barred down on him sending him down on his back. Cinderkit yelped in surprise the wind getting knocked out of him, wincing he braced himself for the worst. In a blur of fur the fox suddenly went flying away rolling several tail lengths away.
He didn’t hesitate, quickly scrambled up to his paws. Still a little dizzy he looked this way and that. Locating his brother he scrambled his way over not stopping to get a good look at the foxes or what exactly had knocked the baby fox down. The kit was desperate to get to his brother and help him. Wincing he wasn’t very steady on his hurt leg. Wobbling he panted and heaved as he hurried over to his littermate.
If the tom had hit the fox at full speed he probably would have been sent tumbling as well. Luckily for him he managed to get himself stopped before he lost his balance. Bracing himself he skidded to a halt. He watched the smaller fox tumble away a good distance before dazedly trying to look around. Not feeling the pain in his leg quite yet he went charging right for the young fox not giving it a chance to get back on its paws again. He could see Tawnyface as she took down the parent before it became a major threat to him or the kits. He might have frowned upon the utter ruthlessness of the she-cat if they were in a different set of circumstances but, they didn’t have much of a choice in this case. They had to protect the kits at all costs...no matter how badly he might to turn and yell at these kits for their mouse-brained antics.
With a ferocious growl the black cat went right for the young fox’s throat. As much as he might dislike doing it, he would do it if would protect innocent kits. Going right for the fox’s throat with his teeth he didn’t give the fox time to react and get it’s bearings.
Mousepaw followed Leafpaw out into the camp clearing and moved to sit himself down when she offered him some of the rabbit. “If you don’t mind. I forgot to eat.” He explained simply as he noticed her eyes looking over him as if to decide for herself. The apprentice had become rather fit from his nightly training and noticeably had filled him out a little more than he had been a quarter moon or so ago. It was also clearly having an negative impact on him as well. His pelt now showed signs of scars and small wounds, the most recent ones standing out the most. He flicked his tail briefly over the obvious wounds self consciously. Mousepaw sighed heavily when she looked towards him with concern. “I was chasing a rabbit the other day and ended up getting tangled up in a bramble bush.” He mewed shuffling his paws a little as he looked away, seemingly embarrassed to admit it. He’d come up with quite a few stories to explain away his scratches to any curious cats. He settled himself down noticeably moving to make his wounds a little less visible to Leafpaw.

Shadowpaw's ears flattened back as she heard various degrees of disapproval from the two medicine cats inside of the den. He hadn't been concerned about what they might think as he was desperate to help in whatever way that he could, but he had to face it as Wildberry expressed her irritated disapproval. He was surprised as Lilyheart suggested he take cats back with him, imagining they needed legwork in the Riverclan camp to keep everything stable in this moment, but he nodded obediently and took a step backwards, glancing back to Redsky. "It might take a bit, but...I'll bring him here. I promise." He quietly murmured, before turning around and exiting the den.
He glanced around the camp, seeing Lavenderfur right beside him at the side of the den. The warrior stood up on visibly shaky legs and, with a look of concern, Shadowpaw blinked wide eyed at him. "Uhh...Are...are you..." He started trying to ask if the cat was okay, but Lavenderfur cut him off.
"Shadowpaw, you're going back, right? Well, umm...I'm staying because I...uhh..." He cleared his throat awkwardly. The apprentice probably wouldn't understand the complicated feelings of guilt that he was experiencing. "I'm, uhh...talking with Speckleflower, and staying here to be helpful. So umm...can you...tell my kits that I'm fine, and that I'll be back eventually, and to behave?"
Shadowpaw's eyes widened a little more as Lavenderfur asked to put this stressful type of responsibility on him, that the father couldn't return to his kits and instead wanted the apprentice to be his messenger. He glanced past the warrior to Speckleflower, his face paralyzed and begging for help. His glance returned to Lavenderfur and as the tom stared intensely at him, he did not have the guts within him to deny the request no matter how much extra stress and discomfort it put on him. "I...y...yeah, I...I will..." he mumbled quietly, taking a step back as he blinked at the warrior. Something felt very strange to him about this request, that it was strange for him to be doing instead of the kits' father making time to go back to them, but he couldn't say anything.
Staggering away from the dangerous heat of combat, Ebonykit was panting heavily, though the truth was a part of it was from the terror and stress more than being terribly hurt. He felt his brother approach at his side and turned with a squeak of fire that quickly subsided as he saw his sibling. The blood on his chest was wet and had visibly reddened his fur, enough having trickled down the large wounds relative to his small size.
Terror was in his eyes, his heart, and his voice as he opened his mouth to speak to his brother. "Cinderkit, it hurts so much, am I g...am I...going to die?" It was a squeaky, quiet wail as he drew closer to his brother while the wound continued releasing blood from his body. He was shaking from fear, or perhaps loss of blood--it was unclear. It didn't seem like he had lost a lot, but then again, he was a small creature.
Almost identical to its parent, the young fox let out a sharp yelp as Longshadow's teeth sunk deep into its small throat, and its claws scrabbled helplessly at the chest of Longshadow, leaving the smallest of scratches as its life quickly came to an end, staring up wide-eyed and terrified into the eyes of Longshadow as its life left the creature.
Tawnyface shook the creature until several moments until she felt it stop struggling and the claws had left her chest, not caring whether it was already dead or not--she was going to be sure...as well as pay this creature back a little for all of these wounds it had given her. She finally dropped the worthless scum at her paws, gazing down at it for a few seconds with scorn and disgust, before her eyes lifted to glance at Longshadow first, who somehow had made it all the way from camp to here--perhaps he was more recover than she had thought, though he probably still shouldn't have pushed himself like he did.
Then her eyes turned to the kits as she heard a quiet wail, and she uttered a loud expletive as she saw the bleeding wounds on the pelt of Ebonykit. Her heart started pounding faster immediately after it had began settling as she realized she hadn't done well enough to prevent the kits from being injured. Snowpaw's dead and lifeless eyes flashed back into her mind for a brief moment as she heard the begging cry of the wounded kitten, and hissing quietly to herself, she felt her legs grow heavy and paralyze her somewhat in place.
Leafpaw blinked at him as he seemed to be quite embarrassed by the wounds and cover them up in order to hide them from her. She took in a breath through her nostrils and then nodded slightly. She understood--that was an embarrassing way to get several scratches and she could understand why he wouldn't be eager to share that information. Sighing she glanced down at the rabbit. "Well, join me then. You can pay back all of rabbitkind, one bite at a time," She tried a joke to see how he would react to terribly made humor.

Lilyheart sighed quietly to herself as Shadowpaw didn’t try to argue. She wanted to make sure he got back to camp safe and she was hoping maybe Lavenderfur would go back with the younger cat. Remaining outside of the den sulking would probably just lead to Wildberry shooing him away to go sulk elsewhere. There was nothing the tom could do here, so he should go home to his kits and get some much needed rest. Before she could see the outcome though Wildberry drew her attention again. The Windclan cat was starting to lecture Redsky to get to lay back down. Her wound seemed to be getting infected despite their best efforts. Sighing Lilyheart made her way towards the herb stores while listening to Wildberry’s somewhat exasperated complaints.
Speckleflower had hesitated, staying away from the medicine cat den even as her mate left her to go eavesdrop on what was going on. She couldn’t lie, it had stung quite a bit to have her mate leave to check on Redsky. Sighing she shook her head pushing that feeling aside to walk over and check on her mate. By the time she got to him he was clearly disturbed by whatever had happened, mumbling incoherently to himself. The tip of her tail twitched as she carefully examined her mate as she approached. She sat silently with him until Shadowpaw approached. She frowned to herself as she stared between the two toms before sighing again when Shadowpaw turned to look to her for help. There wasn’t much she could do to convince her mate to come back to camp at this point. Clearly he’d rather stay in Riverclan.
“You don’t have to that, Shadowpaw.” She interjected softly as she got to her paws. She brushed her pelt against Lavenderfur’s as she moved past him to stand beside Shadowpaw. “I’ll go back to camp with you.” Speckleflower gave her mate one last look. The queen felt she had been away from her kits long enough. She couldn’t help the slight sting she felt about the fact that Lavenderfur was choosing to stay instead of telling his own kits himself.
Cinderkit sat down beside his brother, his eyes reflecting the same horror his brother was clearly experiencing. They were both still young and this was the tom-kit’s first real experience seeing some cat close to him bleeding out like this. “N-no...don’t be mousebrained. You’ll be just fine...” The kit mewed his voice rattling with his own uncertainty. The kit sat helpless not knowing what else he could do to help his brother. Even though he didn’t seem to be bleeding a lot it seemed a lot worse to such a young cat. So, he was left shaking with fright as he tried to keep his attention on his brother’s eyes not the large wound on his chest.
Longshadow wasn’t effected by the small scratches on his chest, only unclamping when the fox had stopped struggling. Frowning he stared into the baby fox’s terrified eyes for a moment. His shoulders slumped, even if it wasn’t a cat’s life it was still a waste of a young life. After allowing himself a moment of sullen contemplation the senior warrior steeled himself for dealing with the aftermath of all of this. The pitiful wailing behind him made him turn to face the two kits. He took a step to walk towards them wincing as he felt a whole new level of soreness from his leg. Grunting he made his way over to them as quickly as he could manage. Passing by Tawnyface he frowned a little to himself seeing her looking somewhat frozen. “Tawnyface, find whatever cobwebs you can.” The older cat snapped taking control of the situation, seeming to redirect her attention away from the bleeding kit.
Longshadow lumbered his way over to the small kittens, Ebonykit looking much smaller now that he had before. He huffed a little as the kit seemed convinced he was dying. “If a sorry cat like me can survive this long, you’ll survive this.” He reassured the kit, in his own way. Crouching down he nudged Cinderkit back and did his best to put pressure on the wound to hopefully help slow the bleeding.
Mousepaw blinked looking at Leafpaw for a moment before letting out a light chuckle as he looked down at the rabbit. He decided to take the joke and run with it a little. “I will make sure no rabbit will ever make a fool of me again.” Mousepaw declared with a playful swipe at the rabbit. It was a relief she bough his story. He frowned a little to himself as he realized that he might not get the chance to train anymore if he couldn’t make things right. Snapping out of his thoughts he nudged the rabbit towards Leafpaw, expecting her to take the first bite.

Shadowpaw's eyes grew wider, this time from fear as he sensed something of a subtle fire to Speckleflower's comment as she stood up, casting one last gaze at her mate before starting towards the entrance. Still wide-eyed he turned away from Lavenderfur without looking at him again, worried about how he would react to...whatever was going on right now.
Lavenderfur blinked at his mate as she pointedly said she would go back with a sharp glance in his direction. It took him off guard, and as she seemed angry with him he felt somewhat lost in how to respond. He was experiencing an extremely difficult moment in the choices he had made and it seemed she was angry at him for not fixing it--at least the tom thought so. "Y-...Wait, are you just...going to leave me?" He quietly murmured as he asked the question, a hint of hurt in his own voice.
Shadowpaw blinked as he stepped beside Speckleflower, hearing the question from the tom-cat behind them, and while he felt relief that Lavenderfur had not grown angry, it was still very uncomfortable for him as this drama that he had been caught in continued with him in it. His ears flattened back and he tried to step aside in case Speckleflower started staring clawtips into her mate, so that he wouldn't be in the way.
He honestly didn't understand why Lavenderfur was still here. He and Speckleflower had kits in Windclan and for some reason neither of them was there, which seemed very strange to the apprentice; stranger still to him was the question Lavenderfur asked, like he didn't understand why Speckleflower was leaving. Her kits! Obviously.
Tawnyface was still a moment or two longer as Longshadow supplied her an order that she didn't grab right away; a double take from the warrior, implying some impending scolding was enough to make her blink back into action as she turned away and started heading for the Thunderclan side of the territory.
Ebonykit squealed in pain as Longshadow pressed down on the wounds and tried to squeeze out of his grasp as the sharp pain verberated through him. "Owwww! P-please stop, you-you're going to make it worse, I..I don't want to die!" He whined whilst he tried to get free, slowly descending into a fit of hyperventilating that made Longshadow's job that made harder as the blood began leaving his small body even faster than it had been.
Leafpaw giggled quietly and looked down at the rabbit. "Very good. Show them who's the Warrior here." She gave a slight smile as he pushed the rabbit towards her, taking a chomp to start off and beginning to talk with her mouth full. "Sho how did Moushepaw take it when you apologizshed? Did he react well and accepht it?" She finished chewing the food ravenously after she was done speaking, taking a second bite before pushing it back to Mousepaw.

Speckleflower came to a stop with Lavenderfur’s mumbled question. He really couldn’t understand why she was leaving him to camp? Whatever issues he might be having in the moment, they still had kits wanting to know what exactly had happened to their father. Sighing softly to herself she glanced over her shoulder towards Lavenderfur. Despite her...frustration...with the tom right now, it was admittedly hard to maintain it when she turned and looked at him. Glancing sideways at Shadowpaw she did feel sorry for the apprentice since he had nothing to do with this matter but, was dragged into the middle of it anyway.
Turning her attention back to her mate she lightly shook her head. “I’m not just leaving you. I’m going home so there is one of there for our kits.” Speckleflower tried to explain although there was still the slight edge to her voice that she didn’t mean to have. She was just so frustrated with the entire situation. Her mate clearly needed help to work through his own problems, but her kits did as well. They had no idea why their father and now mother were gone.
Before they had kits she would have stayed with her mate until they had gotten through this, but he wasn’t the only cat she had to look after anymore. “You need to sort...this out...When you’re ready to come home I’ll be there with your kits.” The she-cat mewed softly moving forwards to touch noses with her mate. Giving a tired smile she turned to leave the camp for good and get back to her kits. Hopefully Lavenderfur would be able to understand that.
Longshadow growled in frustration as Ebonykit suddenly started to wither and fight him making things so much harder for him. His efforts would be in vain if the kit bled out from wriggling around so much. “Stop.” He hissed trying to hold the kit still through brute strength alone. Unfortunately the kit was small and hard to pin down. “I’m trying to keep you from bleeding out.” The senior warrior grumbled as he lost his grip on the kit. Of all the cats to be trying to comfort a kit he was the least qualified. Stepping back he lashed his tail in frustration narrowing his eyes as he looked towards Cinderkit seeming to expect him to do something to fix the situation. The kit unfortunately looked like he was rather pale and sickly, definitely not in any shape to help his younger brother.
”Ebonykit, you have to calm down. You aren’t going to die.” The senior warrior said point blank that the kit would be fine even if he didn’t know if that would be the case, especially if he continued to struggle. The large black tom most likely wasn’t doing much to put the kit’s mind at ease.
Mousepaw smiled to himself hearing her giggle. The apprentice patiently watched her gobble down the rabbit. Stretching out on his side he flicked his ears towards her as she asked him about how is apology to Applepaw went. Mousepaw shrugged a little to himself as he moved to take a small bite of the rabbit for himself. As he nosed it back to her he sighed a little to himself. “He did eventually. It took a while to even get him to look at me.” He mewed with a slight shake of his head. “Eventually I got him to talk to me and convinced him that I was genuine.”

Lavenderfur flattened his ears back as the same edge was delivered alongside her words as she reminded him that there were two very important cats to worry about, and that Lavenderfur was capable of handling being on his own and working on his issues whilst two kittens were not capable of making that happen themselves. He opened his mouth to speak as she said she would be home when he was ready, but she stepped forward, touched noses and left with a smile, which at the very least told him that she was understanding that he was having a hard moment processing this. He gulped as she left the camp, altogether still not certain if he had made the right choice not stopping her...though, he couldn't in any way spin leaving their kits alone much longer. It was better that at least she was there to take care of them even if that meant he had no one to talk to. The kits were more important.
Shadowpaw quietly foollowed behind Lavenderfur, the awkward discomfort he was feeling not leaving him yet even as he approached the pool of water at the entrance. he gulped, feeling the same fear as before join his discomfort as he approached the body of water. At the very least he was clutching nothing in his mouth this time and would be free to shut his mouth, which hopefully would mean he would not start panicking this time.
Ebonykit was unresponse to the first command, and he seemed to go slack more from fear than compliance as Longshadow warned him that this was all to stop the bleeding. Ebonykit had really already known that but the pain was awful enough as the (not exactly delicate) warrior was pressing and jabbing into his wounds unintentionally to make the bleeding stop.
He looked at his brother with the same fear lingering in his eyes as he felt completely unreassured by the warrior, and he tried to figure out how his sibling was feeling by analyzing his expression. It was obvious they were on the same wavelength--alarmed, terrified, completely running on adrenaline. All he wanted right now was for their parents to show up and fix the wounds and take them back to the den and for everything to be okay. He wished they had never left the den, and more that their father had just come back once the battle had finished. Now, he was probably going to be very angry with them and scold and ground them from playing for a whole moon. That was, if he didn't die from these wounds, he was reminded as he felt the hot and sticky substance covering his chest.
Leafpaw took in a slow breath as he listened to Mousepaw recount in short the difficulty he had had getting the cat to acknowledge him and let himself be convinced of Mousepaw's genuineness. She quietly sighed and looked down at her paws. "I...I don't know why he is so..." She shook her head slightly as she spoke. "In a small way, he kind of reminds me of...of Shadowpaw..." She mumbled to herself, then looked back up at him. "I'm glad he accepted your apology, though. Maybe...maybe you can be his friend now? He's returning, but...as long as we're allies..." She made the suggestion with a smile, having no idea of the facade he was constructing and the resentment he was holding for the other apprentice.
Leafpaw wanted to believe in the good in each cat in front of her and because of this she was quick to forgive Mousepaw for what had happened the other day. It was easy to justify it as a bad day especially given their context of the last moon or two or however long it had been. She was certain of his sincerity now that he said he had apologized.

Speckleflower had to stop herself from moving to look back towards her mate before she camp. She needed to focus on getting back to her kits and prolonging a goodbye was only going to make things worse. Busy wrapped up in her own family’s problems she didn’t notice the apprehension Shadowpaw had when they came to the bank of the river. Of course she might have just chalked it up to the usual apprehension non-Riverclan cats had towards water. Taking a deep breath she marched herself into the water and very slowly started to paddle her way to the other side. She couldn’t wait to get back home to her kits, thinking they must be worried sick by now. She smiled to herself imagining they had most likely spent the day pestering the other queens with questions about what was happening.
Longshadow’s patience was already pretty strained from the fact that he was starting to feel the consequences of his charge from camp and was in no mood to fight with Ebonykit. When he finally fell still he loosened the pressure he was holding on to the kit. Mostly he was trying to slow some of the blood, while waiting for Tawnyface. Cobwebs would be a much better way to stop the bleeding from getting any worse. He sighed to himself staring down at the kit’s injuries. After they bandaged him up the best they could, their next problem would be getting them back to camp in one piece. How in the name of Starclan they’d gotten themselves out here he would ever know. Even though it was a grim time he did the slightest bit of satisfaction from the fact that he had done his part to help take down the foxes even while still trying to recover. It was the only thing he could keep telling himself to keep him from being anymore tense than he already was at the moment.
Cinderkit moved to sit on the other side of his brother, moving around like he was half conscious. He wished they’d never left camp. He wished Lavenderfur hadn’t left camp. Even if it was selfish to think the tiny kit wished that something had made his father stay back in camp then, Ebonykit would be alright. Still shaking a little to himself he glanced over to his brother trying to give him some sort of a smile as they anxiously sat. He didn’t have anything he could really think to say that would make this all better somehow. He just wanted to be curled up safe and sound in the nursery with his parents and Ebonykit.
Sighing the apprentice nodded his head slowly, as if sympathetic to what the young cat was going through. To Mousepaw the comparison between Shadowpaw and Mousepaw was apt one since he found them both to rather annoying. He tolerated Shadowpaw a little better since he seemed to be able to stomach a battle and might actually shape up to be a warrior. “They’ve both been through a lot.” The tom agreed highlighting a different way they were similar. They had both lost at least one of their parents, both at the paws of Nightstar. His ears perked up at his suggestion that he and Applepaw might be able to become friends now. He paused at the thought, having to remind himself not to immediately scoff at the idea.
Instead he looked back towards the den twitching his tail in quiet contemplation. “I’d like the chance to try at least.” He mewed finally after a moment turning his head back towards her with a light smile playing across his lips. Clearing his throat after a moment he took a couple more quick bites of the rabbit so he didn’t let the smile linger too long. If he did she might see right through him. He twitched an ear back towards the den when he thought he heard the sounds of Applepaw waking up.

Shadowpaw gulped as Speckleflower paddled through the water like it was almost nothing, seeming quite distant from their current moment. Taking a deep breath he stepped into the water, feeling a spike of anxiety in his heart as he did so, and forced himself into the cold pool of water after Speckleflower. Keeping his head craned above the water, having no fear of getting water in his mouth this time around, he was able to awkwardly paddle towards the other side, this time without careening awkwardly onto his side. Once he reached the other side he released his tensely held breath, pulling himself out and keeping his gaze down at his paws so as not to see if Speckleflower had watched the scaredy-cat paddling through the water. He started walking with her back in the direction of the camp, though he didn't personally know it well enough to lead the way and instead took a path beside and behind her a bit, remaining quiet as he felt she was in her mind and probably didn't want to be bothered to him.
It was a few more painful minutes of a slightly-squirming kitten who was terrified of wounds that weren't that grievious, and a very anxious and difficult inability to do anything more as Cinderkit awkwardly tried to reassure his sibling and Longshadow awkwardly kept pressure on the wound, and they didn't have much more to occupy themselves with in these moments than anxiousness or distracting thoughts as they all waited the return of Tawnyface, who finally came pelting from over the moorlands after a pawful of minutes had passed. As she approached it became clear that her several wounds had bled out on her significantly, but if she was feeling any of it she wasn't making a show of any sort of it; nonetheless she only had sufficient cobwebs for the kit's wounds and would have to manage herself, having struggled greatly to find any cobweb whatsoever closer to the Thunderclan side of things.
Leafpaw nodded in agreement as Mousepaw stated the truth that both of the other apprentices had been through a lot of pain and she was glad Mousepaw could see that. Her ears perked up and she smiled pleasantly as he mewed his desire to try being friends with Applepaw. It was hard to believe he was feeling this penitent about the matter, but Leafpaw was especially impressed with him and wasn't disposed to look for of deception from the cat across from her. She didn't notice the sound of Applepaw potentially rising, reaching down to take another bite of rabbit for herself before lifting her head again as a fat droplet of rain smacked down onto her head, leaving little tiny droplets of rain dripping down her face, with a mouth half-stuffed with rabbit and an irritated (and likely comical) expression.
It took him a long several pawfuls of seconds to rise as he began feeling the presence of wet droplets tapping on his pelt, but as Ravenfang slowly drifted back into consciousness, he realized it was starting to rain and they were out in the territory...they were. His eyes flickered over beside him at the she-cat gently pressed together with him in their rest, and he couldn't hide a smile from his lips. Sun still was a bit from sunhigh so he knew they had not rested too long, and though he felt a heavy fogginess still about his headspace, he knew this would help him to continue functioning this day. He gently shook Wrenflight with his paw not blocked by her, unable to move or stand without dropping her to the floor which he certainly was not going to do.

Unfortunately for Shadowpaw, Speckleflower did get a good look at his paddle across the river. The very loud slapping and floundering in the water drew her attention back after she’d reached the opposite shore. The queen did her best to hide a slight amused smile as she turned to continue on. She found the bewilder looks of a couple Riverclan cats sitting further down the river amusing. Sighing to herself at the very least it seemed to help distract her if only briefly. Speckleflower lead the way back through Riverclan territory with little trouble. She didn’t realize her pace was starting to speed up the closer they got to Windclan territory. The longer she was away from them the sooner she wanted to get back to her kits. Staring ahead of herself she was entirely silent as she moved to cross the river that separated the two clans.
Longshadow snatched the cobwebs from Tawnyface without looking back at the she-cat to see her own injuries. Unfortunately Ebonykit was his first concern at the moment. Taking a deep breath he slid his paw away from the wound to replace it with the cobwebs. Luckily the kit was smaller so, the few cobwebs she’d managed to bring back would most likely be enough to cover the worst of his wounds. Placing the cobwebs down on his chest, he did his best to secure the cobwebs tightly. “Can you walk Ebonykit?” He prompted the kit, prepared to carry the five moon old kit if he had to all the way back to camp. He was less torn up by the foxes than Tawnyface had been. He looked over Cinderkit before nosing him to his paws. Besides a bite along his back and a few minor scratches the larger kit seemed able to walk on his own, although he would probably need to be shepherded back with how in shock he still seemed to be. Grunting Longshadow forced himself back on to his sore paws. The sooner they were able to get back to camp the better.
Mousepaw kept an ear angled back to listen for anymore signs of Applepaw emerging out of the den. In the mean time he caught sight of Leafpaw and her expression at the rain interrupting her meal. Chuckling softly to himself he looked up at the sky as raindrops began coming down. When a raindrop fell right on to his nose he sneezed loudly before moving to paw at his nose in frustration. “Didn’t we get enough rain yesterday?” He huffed shaking his head from side to side in further frustration. He blinked as several raindrops hit his head.
The apprentice finally managed to pull himself out fo his trouble sleep. Yawning he looked around the now empty apprentice den. Blinking sleepily he hauled himself on to his paw. Still in a rather disoriented state of mind he went to find Mousepaw, remembering the promise he’d made them. The apprentice ignored his messy fur as he poked his head out the den he perked up to see Mousepaw was in the clearing. He trotted his way over seeming to get a new purpose to his stride.
She felt the raindrops starting to come down from the sky. She curled herself up tighter turning her face away from the raindrops. She wasn’t ready for the brief peace and quiet they had found in the chaos in the last couple of days. Closing her eyes as tightly as she could she refused to stir immediately planning on just going back to sleep. The rain didn’t really register as a problem to her at the moment. What was a little water to a Riverclan cat. Despite her best attempts to stay asleep she could feel Ravenfang’s light nudging. Sighing softly she pressed herself closer to the tom for a moment reluctant to move from her comfortable spot. After a moment though she finally opened her eyes yawning softly to herself. Seeing Ravenfang first when she woke up she smiled sleepily to him before finally moving to let the tom get up. Propping herself up she stretched her front legs out yawning to herself. The rain nor the time that had seemingly passed seemed to bother her much at the moment.

Shadowpaw truthfully didn't have too much difficulty keeping up with her as walks through the open air were something that had been rare for him and now that he had the chance he didn't like complaining about when he could. Despite the fast pace that was slowly giving him a sweat he kept silent about the matter and enjoyed the view over the territories. He blinked over the land surrounding them as a question he had been thinking about suddenly popped into his head regarding the clans. "Hey, Speckleflower, umm...I know you don't know me well, so I hope that it isn't going to bother you, but may I please ask you something?"
Ebonykit squealed again as the pressure was released and then almost immediately reapplied to him with the cobwebs, though he let out a cough and tried to suck it up as the warrior was really stopping the danger to him that the wound posed, or so he had seen with cobwebs. He tried taking in a deep breath as Longshadow asked him the question, but was cut short by the pain of the wound as he took it in. Coughing a few more times, he whined quietly. The expansion of his chest was enough to irritate the wound, probably because of how small his body was. Still, he took a few steps forward (admittedly, quite shakily) without much difficulty. "Y-yeah, I...I should be fine...I...think..." he mumbled quietly, looking over to his brother.
Leafpaw sighed with exhaustion as Mousepaw voiced her exact thoughts. "I guess Starclan decided we weren't soggy enough," she muttered in a low tone with a hint of bitterness to it that might have been a little bit easier to detect than she had meant for it to be. She stood up looking down at the rabbit, then reached down and took a large bite trying to finish it off before it got soaked by the rain that was sure to increase in intensity sooner rather than later. Once she chewed the large bite up and gulped it down she sighed a second time and moved to pick up the rabbit, ready to discard the inedible remains of the creatures.
She dropped the rabbit right away as she heard Applepaw approaching them, and she stood up a little straighter as he seemed to be walking with a serious and determined stride. She blinked and glanced over at Mousepaw, not wanting to steal his moment to help the cat and gain a little more of Applepaw's friendship.
Ravenfang couldn't help but sigh with a little bit of contentment and longing to return to a peaceful rest. He bent down and gently straightened a little bit of stray fur on her shoulder, quietly whispering that it was okay if she took her time for a minute. "I'm not in any...particular rush," he murmured quietly and didn't stand up as long as she kept herself pressed warmly near him. For a moment, he had to marvel at and appreciate how little time had passed and yet how much the disaster of Nightstar had brought some cats together. Hazelrunner and Shadowpaw. Himself and Wrenflight. Riverclan and Windclan, he at least hoped, would have a better relation after their joint re-takeover of Riverclan's rightful territory. Even...
His eyes went cloudly for just a moment like they had in this same spot some time ago. These times had even brought Dawnstar's two kittens together even if they didn't know it. Leafpaw's passion about the life of Hazelrunner had initially disposed her to be more hostile, but in the end her heart had won over and she had grown a bit closer with the tom. He only wished...He wished he could say...
As Wrenflight rose up and greeted him sleepily he returned practically the same sleepy smile. They had been up for so many hours and he had not been ready to leave their rest by any means, but here they were. He took in a breath and exhaled it through his nose, taking a stretch of his legs right beside her before pulling himself back up to a standing position and turning back to Wrenflight. "Okay. I need...to check on the camp. See how things are going. I...I also need to check on Windclan, because I don't know where Rainstar is or how the camp is right now..." He bit his lip, trying to decide what to do first.

The queen carefully made her way across the rocks, crossing back into Windclan territory again. She continued her quick pace towards camp. She only slowed when Shadowpaw quietly spoke up to ask her a question. Perking her ears up she listened to the apprentice's question...to ask her a question. Despite her urgency to get back to camp she was still willing to answer his questions. “Of course Shadowpaw, what’s your question?” She mewed with a reassuring smile. She could use something to think about other than her family’s problems.
Longshadow grunted as the tiny kit didn’t really even seem capable of taking a breath without the wound getting in the way and was even less sure on his paws. The warrior seemed rather unconvinced, but was forced to accept the kit’s assurances. They needed to get moving as quickly as possible so he didn’t have time to question how well the kit was going to be able to travel. “We need to get back to camp then.” The senior warrior instructed the other cats grunting a little to himself trying to give the kits plenty of time to start moving. He nudged Cinderkit to get him moving as well. The warrior paused as raindrops started to fall around them. Frowning he snapped his head up towards the sky. Fantastic, this is just what they needed! His slid his claws out slowly he continued to slowly move to shepherd the kits towards camp fighting his own sense of urgency.
The taller kit winced when he heard his brother’s squeals and then watched him struggle to get up. He shook his head violently trying to make himself focus. His brother needed him now. Snapping out of his state of shock he awkwardly waddled over to his brother’s side. Swallowing thickly he was nervously watching Ebonykit. He mewed his objections as Longshadow prodded him forwards. A withering look from the warrior made him shrink down a little and reluctantly started to move as raindrops started to fall to the ground. The cold wind blew through the moor, making Cinderkit shiver a little to himself, ducking his head down a little.
Applepaw came marching towards the two older apprentices with all the conviction he could muster, although they was a hint of worry behind his eyes. If Mousepaw decided to back out of the promise he’d made than Applepaw would be left to try and find another cat to take him. He didn’t think that the Windclan cats would just let him wander off on his own. Squaring up his shoulders the tiny apprentice stopped just behind where Mousepaw was still laying. “Do you remember what you promised me?” He squeaked his tone not quite matching his more serious determination. It was probably because he still had a lot of growing to do. He was a young cat and was naive enough to forgive Mousepaw after he’d made a promise like that.
Mousepaw could hear him coming but, didn’t turn around to face him until he had stopped in front of him, the end of his tail twitched at the mousebrained question. Of course he remembered! Sitting up he gave a brief nod of his head instead of saying anything directly. That seemed to be enough though as the apprentice visibly relaxed put at ease that Mousepaw still was willing to admit what he’d promised. “I’d said we’d go and we will.” The older tom added standing himself. Now at full height he looked over Applepaw, he didn’t try to warn him that his new founded energy was probably misplaced. There was no guarantee that his mother would even be well enough to see him...if she was even alive that was.
Despite the fact their little outing had such a dreary destination, Applepaw seemed to come alive as everything fell into place. He really thought that he would go to Redsky and that would be enough to make everything right again. She would be fine and he would be back with his clan again. With this foolhardy hope he blinked only now seeming to notice Leafpaw. “Are you coming too?” The Riverclan apprentice asked softly, he certainly wouldn’t mind a more friendly and familiar face than Mousepaw’s. He still seemed a bit jumpy watching the Windclan apprentice move around. Still, he was willing to go with him if it meant seeing Redsky sooner.
Their peaceful rest had come to an end far too soon for the she-cat’s liking, but there was only so long that they could shut out the world. In this case the rain was there to remind them that they couldn’t stay here much longer than they already had. She continued to stretch out her tired limbs while looking at Ravenfang. “Too bad you can’t duplicate yourself so you do both at the same time.” The Riverclan she-cat mused as she waited for the last remnants of sleep to leave her mind. She hadn’t felt this truly at peace in a long while now.
”Well, I think I’m going to go back to Riverclan. I’m sure Otterfur...actually Otterstar, has made it back.” She blinked stumbling over the fact that Otterfur would now be Otterstar...that would take some getting used to. It could be assumed that Otterstar would probably appreciate seeing the Windclan deputy after he received his lives...unless she talked to him first that was. Her eyes softened as she looked over the deputy. “You also can’t forget to take care of yourself. If you come back to Riverclan I might try and talk you into eating a fish.” Wrenflight teased as she walked herself around to the tom’s other side brushing her pelt along his own. If she wanted to be a little more selfish she might try and talk Ravenfang into coming back to Riverclan camp with her but, she also thought he might rather go back and check on the Windclan camp.
