Hey guys, I need some help. Iโve been trying to use Sony Vegas Pro 11 to overlay a gif on top of a video. Every time I render it, the audio and gif still play but the original video doesnโt. Anyone know how to fix this?

What format are you rendering it in? Do you have the gif on top of the track the original video is in?

Is the gif too big perhaps?

Is the gif too big perhaps? I'm not sure. I used tracking to size it down and move it to the corner of the video

I'm trying to picture what it's doing. You said the gif plays, but the original video doesn't. So, can you not see the original video at all? What do you see?
I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum (version 14), not Pro. I don't know what the major differences are between the two versions, just so you know.

In the preview both play, it's just when I render it the video is like frozen. The audio plays and so does the gif on top but the original video is like stuck on the first frame

So, you can still see it technically but it's not moving?

Have you tried rendering the original video separately, and then putting the gif on top in a new project?

That's actually how I've been doing it all along. I made the original video in movie maker. All I've been trying to do is just put the gif on top

I wonder if it's possible that the movie maker file isn't compatible when rendered together with something in Vegas? I'm not sure. It's been years since I've used movie maker.

The movie maker video is in mp4 format so I don't think that's it.
