Tragedy strikes! (sort of, hahah)

So I awoke this morning to computer troubles, and after fiddling with it for 2 hours I had to do a system restore, which put my computer back to the way it was three days ago. 
This was necessary to get my computer to work at all, but I forgot what this would mean for my game file. I've reverted back a whole in-game season. 
Now I can't remember what I did with those days, what skills I upgraded, what I foraged and brought to the pillars... Oi. I'm feeling a little defeated, since this also sets back my progress on the Forest Guardian questline by quite a bit. But I shan't give up! 
I'll be grinding my way back to where I was today, and hey, there's even a silver lining. I can buy the blue ladybug from the spring festival now, hahah.

Anyone else experience a similar tragedy or defeat? Did you sell an important item by mistake? Die in a border fight only to realize your precious catfish was in your inventory at the time?

On my first save, the first time I was able to catch a catfish (the first time I even realized catfish were an item in the game!) I accidentally wandered into a border skirmish and my cat died before I could save or do anything, ahh

Taught me an important lesson, I now keep a close eye on where I am on the map, where battles are, and always have Warp Home as an equipped skill! No more lost rare prey for me~

--I also have a general rule to drop everything and chase if I see super rare prey or bugs, haha--

Always good to be careful where you're wandering!
I fell into a river once and was carried down stream into a border fight, got surrounded and couldn't get out of the water lol
It's best to be aware of your surroundings at all times!

WELP I thought the issue with my computer was fixed. I played all day to catch back up to where I was... Ended up playing a season and a half.
Annnnnd same problem this morning, progress reset again. I'm feeling pretty tilted at this point.
I'm gonna make sure this problem is fixed for good before playing again. OTL

wow im having a problem too my whole game and save files are moving slow so i have to play on my moms computer (it works on hers)
