Joining new colony while married?

Hey, newbie here!

I'm thinking about joining a new colony (moving from Forest to Mountain) but I'm planning to propose marriage to Scout beforehand (who lives in the Forest colony).
Can I still move after we married? Will they come with me or stay in Forest? What if I have kittens beforehand, do they join the new colony with me?

Yes, you may move colonies after getting married. Your spouse and kittens will go with you when you move.

I am in almost the exact same case with you! I moved from forest to mountain, married Scout, with kits! I had no problems. Jag just said "We'll make sure that your spouse and kittens find you here." Scout remained forest (I could tell by his icon) but nothing too drastic happened. Also this is practically joining every colony, but I found a code to get 100% rep with all colonies: IAMTHESENATE    Use this and you can waltz wherever you want! Fights will only start if you scratch the other colony. And rep will drop over time. Luckily, you can use the code multiple times (could be different for you bc I'm on switch)!

I know you're only trying to be helpful but I've noticed you answering questions in threads that have already been solved, even in threads that have not been posted on in a long time. I don't see that it's necessary to do this. If it's a recent thread and have something to add (not confirm what's already been said), then you can add your comment.
