Secrets in the Wind
A Warriors CYOA
Hello everyone! I decided to make a CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) in the Warriors universe. This CYOA takes place at the lake territories. This has been fun to make so far, and I hope you guys will enjoy it!
All of the cats in this CYOA were randomly generated cats I got from Falcon's allegiance generator, with a few modifications. I've included more info about this CYOA in the spoiler down below, if you want to know more.
This is not my first CYOA, but rather my second. I tried to do one in the past using similar graphics, but I stopped working on it because I lost interest, among other things. Speaking of graphics, all of the ones used in this CYOA are taken from Cattails. (Yes, this is allowed- I asked Falcon about it a while back.) I don't claim ownership of any of the images, of course. They're all made from edited screenshots, even the pelts. Most if not all of the pelts are not real pelts, meaning they are not in the game.
Quailpaw quivered with excitement. She was going to the gathering! The last gathering she had went to had been so much fun. She had met a group of ThunderClan apprentices, who all seemed pretty nice. Her thoughts were interrupted as she felt something touch her tail. She looked behind her and saw Turtlekit, trying to catch her tail with his paws. "Oh, hi Turtlekit," she said. Turtlekit chased Quailpaw's tail for a bit more before flopping down onto the sand.
"Man, it's gonna be so boring tonight. You all get to go all the way to the island, but I can't even get out of camp for another moon. I can't wait to be an apprentice." Quailpaw knew the feeling. She had became an apprentice 4 moons ago, but she still remembered how long it had taken until she was 6 moons old. "Don't worry," she said, "You'll be an apprentice soon enough. At least you have Mudkit to play with." Turtlekit nodded, still looking a bit disappointed. "I guess you're right," he said.
"WindClan! We're leaving!" Silverstar called from the camp entrance. "Sorry, I have to go," Quailpaw told the kit. "Bye, Turtlekit." Silverstar led WindClan through the sandy hills until they reached the lakeside. They walked alongside it, their paws leaving imprints on the shore. The warriors chatted among themselves, wondering what news the other Clans would bring. Finally, they reached the gathering island.
Quailpaw's mentor, Featherfoot, slowed down to talk to Quailpaw. "Be careful crossing the tree bridge," she cautioned. "If you fall, you'll land right in the freezing water."
"I know," Quailpaw said with a sigh. "I've been to a gathering before."
"Alright," Featherfoot said. "Follow me, then."
One by one, the WindClan cats crossed the tree bridge. Quailpaw crossed it with ease, following Featherfoot onto the island. They walked to the side, a bit below where WindClan sat. Quailpaw's sister, Fernpaw, stood near them with her mentor.
"Now, Sparrowfoot and I are going to go talk to some of the other warriors. We expect you two to be on your best behavior. Mind your manners, don't say too much, and don't start any fights. Got it?"
Quailpaw and Fernpaw nodded.
"Good. We'll talk to you after the gathering," Sparrowfoot said as he and Featherfoot left.
"Hey Quailpaw, wanna talk to ThunderClan with me?" Fernpaw asked.
"Oh... But I talked to ThunderClan at the last gathering. I wanna see what the other Clans are like."
"Well, if you're sure. See you later," Quailpaw said, walking towards a group of ThunderClan apprentices.
Quailpaw sat alone, wondering which Clan to talk to. She hadn't talked to ShadowClan or RiverClan.
As she was thinking about which Clan to choose, RiverClan arrived at the island. Several warriors and apprentices walked past her, heading to the RiverClan area. Near the front of the patrol, a dark brown she-cat walked with a smaller ginger tabby she-cat.
The ginger tabby saw Quailpaw sitting alone, and ran up to her. "Hi!" She said. "Are yo-"
The tabby was interrupted by a hiss from the dark brown she-cat her mentor. "Sparkpaw! What are you doing? Didn't I tell you to stay near me?"
Sparkpaw shuffled back to her mentor, clearly embarrassed. "Sorry, Dustfur," she said. "Can I please go talk to the other cats now?"
Dustfur let out a huff of annoyance. "I suppose," she muttered. "But don't tell them anything that they don't need to know, and don't make a fool of yourself."
Sparkpaw's face lit up. "Thanks Dustfur! See you later!" she called before dashing over to Quailpaw.
"Hi! I'm Sparkpaw. You're in WindClan, right?"
A - Talk to Sparkpaw
