(I guess we’ll start, then!)
Anastasia | Centaur:
Anastasia was traveling again. She had just started leaving Flagrantis Sands after a not-so-friendly welcome from a tribe of stingy harpies. She decided to go south to Sapir Shores, where hopefully the sirens would be kinder to let her stay. She held her hand up to the blazing sun at an angle; it would be high noon. She trotted through the warm sand as Vasilias followed her.
Vasilias | Griffin:
Unlike Anastasia, Vasilias had no worries on his mind. He was skipping along happily, humming a little tune he had recently made up. A desert beetle suddenly scuttled under his feet. He pounded on it, clawing at it playfully with his small talons. “Look, Ana!” He had managed to pin the beetle under his foot.

Kit padded along the beach, the sand hot under her paws. The wolf wasn’t really one to enjoy open spaces - she much preferred hanging around trees. But no one was in the forest today... so she decided it may be a nice time to make some fishy friends. After all, fish lived on the beach, right?
She bounced along happily until one - wait, no two! - figures appeared in the distance. Kit stood, head and tail high for a moment. Would they hurt her?
Before she could answer that thought, she was bounding towards them, her uneven lope scattering sand behind her as her tail wagged wildly to try and keep her on balance. ’Fishy friends!’ she yipped excitedly as she barreled towards them, tripping over herself and tumbling the last few feet.

((Just realized Eleanor mostly hunts hoofed animals - it’ll be interesting with two centaurs ^^’))
Lucis carefully made his way through the forest, his bright blue eyes scanning the underbrush in an absentminded manner. His hooves fell heavy on the soft dirt, leaving deep prints. It had been a while since he had spotted any wildlife - even Kit had been strangely absent the past few days (though she had howled something about sand before running off, so it wasn’t too concerning).
He guessed he would have to settle for something else for dinner.

Anastasia | Centaur:
Due to growing up in the ever-changing wild and not in a domestic village, Anastasia’s senses were slightly sharper than that of an average centaur. She heard a faint thud somewhere behind her trail, and immediately turned around. She saw a small, pale brown lump in the distance that, for a split second, she thought was part of the sand. Anastasia cautiously sprinted toward it, with Vasilias behind her.
Vasilias | Griffin:
Vasilias struggled to keep up with Anastasia when he saw a furry brown creature on the ground. It was his size, but a well bit thinner. Never seeing a wolf before, Vasilias proceeded to daringly poke it on the head with his beak. “Don’t do that, Vasil.” Anastasia scolded.

Eleanor, Acid Dragon
Eleanor sat next to her hoard, a large heap of metal she found with more resistance than others against her acid spit. Though she cannot see the shine they carried, carrying the heavy and smooth blocks made her feel wealthy.
After tending to the metals, the great green wyvern exited the cavern she calls home, the icy air of the Sumum Mountains blanketing her. ‘Time to find some goats,’ she thought and took flight, memory guiding her towards the herds. ———————— You don’t have to worry yet, down in the south while she’s hunting up north.

Kit | Wolf
Kit slowly started wagging her tail as she heard hooves in the sand, struggling to pull herself to her feet in the unstable material. It was okay - the only creature with hooves she knew was friendly, so this one must be too! Her tail wagged faster in her excitement, spraying up sand as she squirmed on her belly. A small yip in greeting escaped her, turning into a confused whimper as some weird bird creature pecked her head.
But all pain was forgotten as her golden eyes came to rest on the creatures in front of her. One was a centaur - she knew that, Lucis was one to. But the other... "Are you a fish?" She asked, wondering if it could even speak wolf-ish. It obviously wasn't, with its feathers and all, but she knew she would get the answer soon enough either from him (the centaur had called him 'Vasil", right?) or the centaur herself.
---
Malka | Griffin
Claws crunched through the snow as a young griffin prowled slowly, her light pelt blending well with her icy surroundings. Hunger drove her forward, the gnawing pain in her gut edging her further towards the herd of goats. One had separated itself - was it sick, injured? Malka didn't care. It felt like it had been ages since she had last had a good meal, and she wasn't going to let it get away without a fight.

Anastasia | Centaur:
Anastasia spoke few languages other than Humian (the language that humanoid creatures speak in this realm; basically just English), so she could barely understand what the small wolf canine was saying. She kneeled down to it and said, “Can you understand me?” in the best pidgin that she could muster.
Vasilias | Centaur:
Brimming with curiosity, Vasilias crouched down in front of the creature and looked it up and down. As soon as Ana spoke to it, he copied her words. “Yeah, can you understand us?”

Eleanor, Acid Dragon
The cold winds battered her scaly hide as she flew but does nothing to hinder her. After a few turns, Eleanor arrived at the forested ledge she knew to be above her prey. Bouts of bleating from below confirmed her knowledge and she landed on the snow-laden rocks, careful to keep her dark green body against the evergreens so as to prevent being seen.
‘Alright, let’s do this again.’ Despite her blindness, the wyvern knew the layout of every stone in the area as well as where the goats usually graze. ‘There’s some about directly below this ledge. Maybe I can corner them,’ she thought and eased deeper into the woodland to search for materials needed.
Though the dragon was larger than a goat, she’d hope to avoid their sharp horns that would pierce the weaker parts of her hide, and that would prove dangerous. Eleanor couldn’t simply swoop in and grab them as well, as though her hearing was better than most, her species is naturally born with and reliant on sight she now lacks.

Kit | Wolf
The female tilted her head in confusion as the centaur spoke some strange combination of human and wolfish, the meaning going right over her head. The odd combination just didn’t fit right with her... Were they asking if she could understand them?
”You speak human.” She yipped, hoping speaking simply would help. Though her mouth and tongue were only really suitable for speaking her own language, she could understand the common language humanoids spoke and it would probably make things simpler.

Malka | Griffin
The young female heard wings above her but refused to be distracted from her prey - they soon quieted above the ledge anyway. Her green eyes scanned the herd before her, landing on a straggler.
In a manner of seconds, she pounced after it, letting out a victorious screech as her claws dig into its hindquarters. It wouldn’t give up without a fight, she knew, but there was no way she would let go. Not even if she caught a glimpse of a fire-breathing winged lizard in the snow dappled trees - that food was hers.

Anastasia | Centaur
Okay, so the wolf could speak Humian. That makes things easier. “Are you lost? You seem a bit too young to be by yourself.” Anastasia asked. She wasn’t too familiarized with the ways of wolves, but she could clearly see that one of its legs was badly crippled.
Vasilias | Griffin
Seeing that the furry thing could speak, Vasilias looked at its face and started bombarding it with questions. “What are you? What’s your name? Can you catch beetles? What’s wrong with one of your legs?”

Eleanor, Acid Dragon
With her tail and talons, the wyvern found what was needed for her plan, a curved fallen tree large enough to trap or at least scare the goats yet small and light enough for her to carry. Eleanor quickly stripped away the remaining branches and leaves on the outer curve with a mix of scraping and acid and carried the trunk back to her ledge.
The bleating of goats quickened when she returned. ‘Something’s off. Did they see me? I must act fast then,’ the dragon thought and took flight once more, this time with her tool grasped within her talons that let go when she believed it to be the centre of the herd. A thud followed by the sudden panicked cries from below signalled her cue. ‘Before they all run off!’ She swooped down onto the log and faced whatever goat still too shocked to run away properly. ‘One, but this’ll do.’
Eleanor could hear something not of goat nearby but focused on wrestling away the horns that pointed at her. ‘Too light of a sound to be a threat,’ she had decided.

((Sorry, had two ten hour days for school orientation, and was just dead after them -_-))
Kit | Wolf
The small canine just wagged her tail happily - she knew the two wouldn’t be able to understand her well if she did anyway. Her body language should be enough to say she was fine, right?
But the questions the small one was throwing at her couldn’t just be answered that way. So she sat, tilting her head to one side as she recalled the questions in order. ”Kit.” Her head tilted to the other side . ”Wolf.” Luckily she knew that one - it had taken her a while. ”Yes, and I had a fight with a tree.” she stood again, moving closer and sniffing Vasilias.
”You’re no fish.” She stayed bluntly - that she knew. ”So why are you at the ocean?”
—-
Malka | Griffin
The young griffin could feel her grip loosen as a large shadow passed overhead. A dragon, really? She let out a frustrated screech as her injured meal slipped from beneath he claws, her grip too weakened from hunger to hold any longer. No matter - it was badly injured. She would track it later and have her meal, once she got away from the large reptilian beast in front of her.
But Malka couldn’t will her weary limbs to move - the fight with the goat had taken too much out of her. So she flopped in the snow, exhausted, almost willing the white powder to hide her form from prying eyes and dull her scent from the dragon. She didn’t know much about them, but didn’t want to chance it if they ate griffins.

Anastasia | Centaur:
“Ah, so your name’s Kit, and you’re a wolf?” Ana finally concluded.
Vasilias | Griffin:
“We’re traveling!” Vasilias said cheerfully. “We travel a lot!” He then puffed his chest out and said “I’m not a fish. I’m a griffin!”

Eleanor, Acid Dragon
Eleanor held her prey down onto the cold, snow-flecked ground, the goat wriggling feebly between her strong talons. As she dove in for the kill, an indignant screech sounded from just behind. ‘That’s not like a goat at all, more of a raspy eagle. A loud one,’ the wyvern thought and turned around, her catch gripped firmly in her talons. “Who’s there?” Her voice was of a low roar, to show that she means business, but not to frighten away an answer as well. ‘Hopefully, whatever that is is still here and understands me.’
