Cats pass away and colonies move on. Society between the colonies has barely evolved even after all these years- territory disputes still run rampant, and cats lives are taken every day. Hostility grows each festival. Seasons continue to pass, and the colonies have not come to a compromise. Will they unite in peace, or will one of the greatest wars the colonies has ever seen ensue? The choices you make could fix or destroy everything.
The roleplay starts on the first day of Summer, year one (of the rp), where the cats are preparing for the searing heat and abundance of herbs and prey. However, few are looking forward to the annual festival. Rumors are spreading like wildfire, and this rumor is no different: will the festivals be cancelled forever this year? Along with that, it seems the cats have something else to worry about: illness! Apparently, a few cats have been infected with a strange sickness. Not the usual things like colds this time, but one that kills slowly and spreads quickly. It's one of the deadliest the doctors have ever seen, but can the doctors find who is infected before it is too late? More importantly.. will they find the cure and survive? Between border battles and this mysterious illness, the future seems grim. Things are going downhill fast for the colonies. Will they be able to save themselves, or will they continue to spiral down this dark path?
Disclaimer: this RP is based almost completely on the game. I tried to make it stay as true to the game as possible. So some things may appear specific. However, some things I may have had to change, or some things may not be completely accurate.
🔹️RULES🔹️
1. Follow Cattails' rules.
2. First come, first serve.
3. Do not put official Cattails' NPCs as your crushes/friends/mates/etc, as they do not exist in this RP. Also, this will save trouble with people wanting the same NPC cat as their mate and such.
4. Ask for permission before introducing serious conflict/plot within the RP, such as a full blown war, or something like a wolf pack attack.
5. Ask for permission to kill before killing someone's character.
6. No Mary Sues (characters with no flaws whatsoever)
7. Don't God mode (control others' characters when not allowed to) or power play (be overpowered)
8. No cats with the Rainbow, Ghost, or Guardian pelt (sorry, I like those pelts a LOT as well), because that is just getting too crazy. Other colorful pelts will be tolerated, however.
9. Out of respect for others, please do not go in detail about sensitive topics within your backstory (physical/emotional abuse, murder, suicide, mental illnesses etc) But, mentioning them is ok. Going in detail with most of these topics will likely break rule 1 as well, and in turn Cattails' rules. Put "The universe exists" in Other in your form.
10. Try to keep OOC in PMs if it's long or may induce a long conversation.
11. Only 2 cats per colony may have the Diplomacy skill. If one goes inactive, someone else is allowed to have it until they come back, or if they are possibly removed.
12. The only active skills allowed are Diplomacy, Wild Slash, Deep Cuts, and Mortal Wound (needs permission to use on someone, as per rule 5). This is because they're essentially the only skills that might make sense in RP. Diplomacy has a 2-cat limit per colony. You can treat all but Diplomacy like 'battle moves' if you wish. As for Diplomacy, you can pretend its like "marking territory" a lot.
13. Every cat must start the RP in their den in their colony's capital. This is just to be fair. Later, they can pull an all-nighter, sleep elsewhere, etc, but of course don't be all "no sleep literally every day" or "always not sleeping in their den".

ℹ Each colony can start claiming territories once the RP starts. You can completely get a territory in the rp by using Diplomacy twice (10 post wait time in between uses, or get 2 cats to do it.) Or, by using 15 lavender. 5 - 10 lavender will spawn every in-rp day, at 6 am except during Winter, in some of the various spots it spawns in the actual game. Alternatively, territory can be claimed by winning a battle there. In the actual game it would take more to claim a territory, but because it would take so long in a fair RP, I lessened some of the numbers. Mixes of each can also be used, just pm me and I'll approve/disapprove.
