I know I just created a roleplay and still haven't finished with it, but I came up with this and I desperately wanted to make it ;o; I have my reasons.
~ Lore ~
"Gather closer, kits. I have a story for you." The kits of the Tribe excitedly bundled by the elder's side, eagerly listening as he began a new story.
"Mere seasons ago, this cave was empty. No cats dwelled within the mountains, but there was a Clan called SnowClan that lived within the snowy pines beside the mountain. However, a blizzard hit their camp and they were forced to flee in different directions, shattering the Clan that they used to know. Two cats, Snow Cloud and Little Snow, escaped to the mountain and found a beautiful cave with a crystal in the middle, a golden-purple flower laid atop it. They immediately recognized it as sacred and left it be, though they took this as an omen to stay on the mountaintop. Eventually they found our cave and claimed it as their own. But they realized that it was not safe to be alone in the mountains. Wolf, elk, eagles, vultures, hawks... so many predators were hunting them down. So they searched for more cats to join them and formed a great Tribe. Snow Cloud became the leader and Little Snow the healer and prophecy teller. Soon after Snow Cloud appointed himself the leader and Little Snow the healer and prophecy teller, the Silver Spirits appeared in Little Snow's dreams. They told her that she would be known as Ancient Teller, and that the Tribe would accept them as their ancestors, known as the Silver Spirits. They told her that, if she ever wished to interact with the Silver Spirits, she would simply travel to the sacred cave of which they would name The Spirit Den and curl around the crystal, putting her in a deep sleep. If anyone were to remove the flower, soon to be known as The Spirit's Bloom, the Silver Spirits would refuse to come to the crystal and a darker form should be released, one that even the Silver Spirits cannot control. Along with these rules, they set several other rules that we've come to know today. Immediately after getting this dream, Little Snow leaped onto The Pointed Crag and called all the cats together, announcing what she had heard. At first the others were skeptical. They didn't believe that the dead could speak to the living. When Little Snow failed to prove these rules, she was killed in her sleep with no trace of what had killed her. This scared the Tribe, leading them to believe now that the Silver Spirits existed, and they began to follow the rules set by their ancestors. Snow Cloud, who had been Little Snow's beloved mate, was devastated. He was to appoint a new Ancient Teller, but he didn't for three moons. When he finally did, he had been forced by the Silver Spirits. Soon after naming Ice Fur the Ancient Teller upon the word of the Silver Spirits, the Tribe was named the Tribe of the Frozen River after the ever-frozen river that cut through the mountaintop near the Great Cave. And that was how the Tribe was created."
"That was a wonderful story," Another elder commented. "But now times are growing tougher. There's a lack of prey and too many cats, many of which are sick, and the freezing temperatures aren't helping. What's to come of our Tribe?"
Another elder spoke up, intercepting the other's words. "Stop that! You're scaring the kits!"

~ Rules ~
~ Roleplay Rules ~
1. Follow all of Falcon's rules!
2. If you aren't active, things such as apprentices may be taken away--and don't join just to leave. That slows everyone down and helps no-one.
3. Gorey and romantic scenes must be kept to a minimum in details. Act like an 8-year-old is reading.
4. You may have as many characters as you want, as long as you can keep in check of them. I will probably create several characters so that the main issue in the roleplay is inspired more and doesn't seem made-up. To create a character, you must also have a password, which will be the first and last letter of your cat's name. {I.E. Rabbit Hop would be RP and Snow that Falls Near Creek would be SK}
5. Try to use standard written English. If it's not your first language, that's fine, but it's just easier to read when the grammar is used correctly.
6. Since there is a prophecy within the roleplay, cats chosen to fulfill it will be privately messaged--if you don't want your cat to be chosen, leave it in the "Other" section. I will not yet reveal what the chosen must do, but it does involve a large quest! Once all the cats have been chosen, they will be revealed in a chat with everyone in the roleplay, but it takes a while for anyone to figure out who's been chosen. Kits, elders, and caretakers will not be chosen.
7. No cat has powers. Yes, there are ancestors that appear everywhere, but no, they do not have powers, and neither do the living cats. So no powerplaying, and don't expect a young kit to beat down a fully-grown adult. I've seen it happen in roleplays and it's just... strange.
8. Names can be traditional Tribe names such as Snow that Falls Near Creek, but it has to be shortened to something like Snow, Creek, Snow Creek, Falling Snow, or something like that, or your name could be simply the olden Tribe names, like Rabbit Hop or Wolf Call. They can also be possessive such as Blizzard's Howl or Midnight's Streak. But don't have key words like "Tribe," "Kit," or "{put right next to each other} Frozen River." "Paw" is okay, though!
9. There can be loners and rogues, but they never dare to appear near the cave and kittypets don't appear in the mountains, nor twolegs.
10. Try not to double post. Edit instead, if you must.
11. You can have only up to five kits in a litter, and one litter every two years. They also can't have kits if they're 8 years or older. The Tribe is overpopulated, not kitten machines.
12. Your cat cannot be older than 16 years, and if they are anywhere between 12-16 years old, they must be an elder.
~ Tribe Rules ~
1. If the leader dies before the Ancient Teller, the Ancient Teller will appoint a new leader, and vice versa. These choices should be made within three suns. If both die, the Silver Spirits must choose.
2. No-one shall remove The Spirit's Bloom from its place on the Silver Crystal. If they do, havoc shall be released.
3. The Ancient Teller's name is sacred and shall never be referred to by their own name once appointed, only as Ancient Teller.
4. Ancient Tellers and leaders do not receive apprentices. Instead, anyone who is appointed as Ancient Teller will only be appointed after the current Ancient Teller dies. An Ancient Teller or leader never steps down from their position. When training, a new Ancient Teller must go to the Spirit Cave each quarter moon to be taught by the Silver Spirits.
5. Ancient Tellers must be female and leaders must be male. Ancient Tellers cannot have kits until they have completed their training fully and have proved themselves up to the task; therefore, if the cat has a family before a new Ancient Teller is chosen, they will not be chosen. Leaders, however, can have families whenever they want.
6. When a litter is born, they must not be named until their eyes have gained color and they can stably walk. {8 weeks/2 months of age.} When named, their parents will line them up in front of the entrance of the cave and name them off one by one after attributes they believe are fitting of the kit.
~ Tribe Info ~
~ What is the Tribe of the Frozen River? ~
The Tribe of the Frozen River is a large Tribe of cats that lives in a large cave on a mountaintop with a constantly frozen-over river cutting through the ground nearby. They have been living in the cave for three generations now and have already spoken with their ancestors, the Silver Spirits, several times. To interact with said ancestors, they go to a mystical cave known as the Spirit Cave. They are very religious and fairly tough, dealing with death nearly every month. Due to the lack of prey in the mountains, they also have learned to hunt large animals over triple their size, which to most would seem impossible, making the Tribe a seemingly formidable enemy, one that no cat dare cross.
~ What is their Territory Like? ~
The Tribe of the Frozen River, as said above, lives in a large cave on a mountaintop with an ever-frozen river cutting through the ground nearby known as the Frozen River. The mountain is known for its harsh, freezing conditions, snow piling up to an average of three feet of snow each winter, the ground still even dusted with snow in the summer. A forest surrounds the cave in which the Tribe lives in, and just about a quarter mile from the Tribe's cave, otherwise known as The Great Cave, is a small cave filled with pawprints, each pawprint dipped in a leaf filled with berry juices to represent a cat that lived within the Tribe. In the center of this cave, known as the Spirit Cave, is a crystal named the Silver Crystal that Ancient Tellers use to interact with the Silver Spirits, their ancestors. Laid atop this Silver Crystal is The Spirit's Bloom, an everlasting sacred golden-and-purple flower that has never once been touched by a cat's paws. Deeper within the forest is where the predators and loners live, a safe distance from The Great Cave.
~ What's Happening to the Tribe? ~
Over the years, the Tribe of the Frozen River has become overpopulated. The weather is even colder than ever this winter, and a few days there's been five feet of snow that's appeared before the cave in the mornings, preventing them from hunting the little prey that was left in the mountains. Sickness has been spreading through the large Tribe, and the scent is even attracting predators, creating a full-out disaster. With overpopulation, striking hunger, freezing temperatures, illness, and predators attacking, what will become of the Tribe?
~ What Roles are There? ~
Good question! Here's a list:
Kit ~ A young cat, or kitten, that's confined to their family's sleeping hallows. Ages 0-5 full moons.
Apprentice ~ A young cat, half-way grown, that's training to be a scout, guard, or hunter. Ages 6-16 full moons.
Scout ~ A fully-grown cat that scouts out an unknown area, goes back for forgotten prey, and helps expand sleeping hallows. Ages 17-143 moons.
Guard ~ A fully-grown cat that guards the cave and accompanies hunting patrols, a skilled fighter. Usually large and bulky. Ages 17-143 moons.
Hunter ~ A fully-grown cat that hunts for the Tribe. Usually small and lean. Ages 17-143 moons.
Caretaker ~ A fully-grown she-cat that is expecting or nursing kits and therefore does not have to work.
Ancient Teller ~ A fully-grown she-cat that is the healer and prophecy receiver/teller of the Tribe.
Leader ~ A fully-grown tom who controls the Tribe.
Elder ~ A retired scout, guard, or hunter. Ages 144-196 moons.
