OPEN AND ACCEPTING
You shriek and fly faster. The snap of a fox jaw clasped your wing and you tilt suddenly. "Help!" you screech before being slammed to the ground and you are thrown into a black out... Something soft presses against you and you wake up in a tree hollow. You think you are alone till a shadowy figure walks into the open. You stand up and look around for any escape routes, but there is none except a hole near the approaching figure. You back away as the figure steps into light and you see it is a blue and gold macaw, strong and ready for action. You squawk in terror. "Hey! My chick is sleeping, so shut up," He chirps blankly, "I won't hurt you. Yet. So, shut that beak of yours." The macaw has a commanding voice and you obey. He sighs frustrated, "Why don't we start over, huh? I'm King, also known as Ocean. Right now you are in a spare tree hollow inside of my camp. Come, follow me." He waddles to the opening and you follow, curiously. Ocean pulls his wing from the entrance like a curtain and you gasp at the view. "Welcome, to Canopy Flock!"

The plain - Surrounding the Forest is a vast grassy plain where wild dogs and foxes live. There is the stink of flesh and old bones around here. A few sheep and cows graze here because their farmers (No-feathers) don’t know of the dangers.
Sand circle - This is located in the plain. A small circle of sand where Fledglings practise attacks on one-another. There is grass growing along the edges. This is the furthest place in the Plain you can get away from wild dog and fox dens.
Squawk waterfall - Inside the nesting place. A small peaceful waterfall where many birds in the flock go to proclaim news.
Crystal river - A beautiful river that bends itself inside the Forest. This is where it is most relaxing, as the river is quiet with a soft murmur of lapping near a rocky shore. This river is never raging unless it is flooded, when it starts pouring rain birds don't come here, afraid they will slip into the river and drown in its raging torrents.
Forest - The forest is where Crystal river, Squawk waterfall and the Nesting place is located. Full of different fruits, seeds and insects. Many plants thrive here.
The nesting place - This is a circle of trees in the middle of the Forest. Birds from the flock sleep and nest in these trees. There is 4 trees but 10 places to nest, since the trees have many holes. 1 of the trees has only 2 holes, this is where the Camanda and the King nest, along with their families. The rest of the flock choose their own places, families tend to live together.
Ranks:
In this flock, there is 7 ranks.
Each bird starts as a Hatchling till they are 3 feathers old, as they then become a Fledgling. A Fledgling is trained to soar, seek and learn about the food a bird can eat. After 4 feathers of training they become a Seeker or Finder, depending on how sharp their eyes are or how fast they can fly.
Expecting Hens - This is the rank where most females fall into. Once the Camanda says you are expecting you stay in this category till your chicks have become Fledglings. All other birds must show the deepest respect to these hens. These hens have to stay in the nesting place till their chicks are fledged. After the chicks fledge the hens become whatever rank they were before.
Hatchlings - As soon as a bird hatches he/she is considered a hatchling until they reach 3 feathers of age. Hatchlings are prohibited to their family’s nest and must respect every bird, even prisoners. A hatchling is considered the lowest level of birdhood.
Fledglings - A fledgling is a bird between 3 and 7 feathers old. This can sometimes vary if the bird hasn’t completed their training in the given time. These birds must clean out the nest for Hatchlings, Expecting Hens and the King. It is the Fledglings duty to provide food for the Expecting Hens and make sure they are healthy.
Seekers - These birds are the fastest in the flock. They can be either male or hen. Only a few birds are picked for this rank, usually smaller and fitter ones. It is the Seekers duty to find possible dangers and warn the flock, find fresh-water and collect nesting materials.
Finders - This rank is given to a large majority of the birds in the flock. Can be either male or hen. A Finder must be able to spot seeds on the ground from in the sky and be able to locate the fruits in the land. They must be able to tell the difference between each kind of fruit and plantation. The finder is usually the one to go to if you are sick, since they know what each plant is used for.
Camanda - There is only one Camanda in a flock, and must be a male. This bird orders what each bird in the flock has to do in the day. He is the next King when the former King dies. This bird is usually a close friend to the King.
King - There is only one king in a flock. They must be a male, as the birds believe that a female can not be trusted to favor any of her friends. The King oversees everything but interferes when necessary. The King chooses a Camanda whenever he wants, but he must first think about it for 2 sunups.

Information:
A birds life is faster than the cats you may have been role playing so bear in mind. A bird can fly at 2-3 feathers (months) but if they aren't a fledgling they must stay in their nest and practice flying. A fledgling is a bird that just started flying.
