The Dueling Clans (Open and Accepting)

In SwampClan, there is a ceremony being held for Dustpaw and Sedgepaw to be made warriors. Salimanderstar should call a meeting for this.

In DesertClan, Cougarstar and Sparrowclaw are discussing with Camel how to steal herbs from SwampClan territory. Warriors and apprentices can be doing anything else or even participating in this conversation.

Dunepaw's mentor will be Leopardfoot. Terrapinpaw's mentor will be Hollystripe. (I did a random name picker for this.)

Salimanderstar:

Stretching in her nest, Salimanderstar rolled over lazily, sunlight just barely dripping through the trees into camp. getting up and taking a seat in front of her den, she sighed contently. a dragonfly buzzed around for a while and Salimanderstar's eyes followed it calmly. everything was right with the world, and slowly, the camp would rouse, and she could hold Dustpaw and Sedgepaw's warrior ceremonies.

Cougarstar:

"146", *thump*, "147", *thump*, "148" *thump*, Cougarstar counted, every morning he walked to the oasis, and every morning he practiced attacking the palm tree 150 times, the bark all around the bottom peeled and scraped off in evidence, claw marks caking the surface of the wood, the tree occasionally shuddering at a specifically good back-kick."150!" he shouted. *THWACK* the tree shook as Cougarstar barreled his side into the trunk, rolling his shoulder in satisfaction, before taking a long drink, and making the long trip back to camp. he needed to talk to Sparrowclaw and Camel about something important.

Contrast on just how different the two leaders are. one calm and collected, the other violently wrestling a tree every day.

Hollystripe rolled onto her stomach, standing up in her nest and walking out of the warriors den. She had wanted to sleep longer, but knew she had to wake up eventually. She noticed Salimanderstar and dipped her head in respect. In a little while, she would go wake up Terrapinpaw.

Sparrowclaw stood at the entrance of camp, awaiting for the arrival of Cougarstar, as he did every day. He held a mouse in his jaws, ready to be eaten by his leader. This was a routine the deputy had started everyday.

"good morning Hollystripe" Salimanderstar greeted the warrior respectfully. "I might join you and Terapinpaw today if you don't mind," she said before brushing her tongue over a paw and bringing it over her ear a few times.

"Sparowclaw" Cougarstar greeted his deputy curtly before gratefully taking the mouse and wolfing it down in a few bites. "can you fetch Camel? I have a few ideas on how to get some more herbs than Swampclan will give" he finished with a wicked smirk "meet me in my den" he said before padding towards the stone structure.

(Trying to pick a good warrior name. Going traditional here. Sedgetail, Sedgefang, Sedgefur/pelt. Those are the traditional suffixes that would suit him best)

Tawnyheart (SwampClan Deputy)
Tawnyheart awoke just as the sun was peeking its head above the earth. It was still dim, but it was getting brighter as the moments passed by. It was dawn. The she-cat stood to her paws, stretched, and padded out of her den. Once she was out there, she could feel the warmth of the sun, yet she could also tell that autumn was near. There was that chill in the air that told her that.

Normally, the SwampClan deputy would be getting cats to go on dawn patrol, but she felt that she should hang back for a bit first. Sedgepaw and Dustpaw would be getting their warrior names today, and Tawnyheart wanted to make sure that she was around for that. After the ceremony ended, she would organize the patrols.

Sedgepaw (SwampClan Apprentice)
Sedgepaw lied awake in his nest inside the cozy apprentice den. He was lying next to his sibling, Dustpaw. He knew what today was as soon as the sun rose - he hadn't slept that much. The excitement was just too much. They were going to be warriors today! Sedgepaw rolled over to stretch. While he did so, he accidentally rolled into Dustpaw. (Shortee )

Leopardfoot (DesertClan Warrior)
Leopardfoot was still sleeping peacefully, even as the sun began to show its face. He was never much of a morning cat. In fact, he hated waking up early. He knew that it didn't excuse him from warrior duties, but sometimes it was just all he could do to keep himself from lying inside the warrior's den and sleep the morning away. Today seemed to be one of those days, as Leopardfoot was still deep in his slumber. Something more powerful than just the sun would have to wake him up. That's the other thing, though. Leopardfoot doesn't like to be disturbed when he is sleeping. He prefers to wake up on his own. If someone wakes him up, he is much more likely to get startled because he won't see it coming.

Terrapinpaw (SwampClan apprentice)

Terrapinpaw lay curled up in her soft nest in the apprentice den, tail tip covering her dark muzzle. The apprentice was fast asleep, despite the warm rays of sunlight slowly making their way through the gaps between the vine-knitted roof of the den.

Hollystripe (SwampClan Warrior)
Hollystripe purred and replyed, "Of course! I'd be happy to show you what we've been working on. In fact, I'll go wake her up now." The warrior trotted over to the apprentice den and poked her head in. She witnessed Sedgepaw running into Dustpaw, and had to hold back a chuckle. She then looked back at her own apprentice and prodded her in the side. "Wake up, Terrapin!" She whispered loudly. She then walked back out into the clearing of camp, knowing that would wake her up. They would watch the ceremony, then go out training.

Sparrowclaw (DesertClan Warrior)
Sparrowclaw replied, "Of course." He hurried over to the medicine cat den, calling from the outside, "Camel! Cougarstar would like to see you." The sphynx would most likely be angry to have been woken up or bothered, but oh well.

Dustpaw (SwampClan Apprentice)
Dustpaw's dream was rudely interrupted by a body slamming into him. Woken up, he stood to his paws, thinking that there was an intruder, but he quickly realized it was just his brother. "Sedgepaw, today's the day!" He would normally yell at his brother for waking him, but the excitement from last night flooded into him. He narrowed his eyes when he saw how fuzzy his brother's pelt was. "Make sure you groom, you look like an over-sized cactus from DesertClan." Dustpaw then began to groom his own fur, knowing he probably looked similar to Sedgepaw.

Camel:

"Camel! Cougarstar would like to see you." Sparrowclaw's voice rang out in the den, causing Cammel to rouse in discomfort. "Is it important or did Cloudstep just sneeze and give our leader a heart attack?" Camel snapped back. "Because if it's the latter, or anything similar, I'm not getting up, and if it's important, I'm still not getting up unless the oasis just burst into flames." He snarled at the deputy, his blue eye fluttering open for a split second, before after about thirty seconds, his small muscles scrunched his hairless skin, causing wrinkles to contract as he moved. "Fine, I'm coming fleabag" he said glaring at the deputy before padding towards the leaders den, his thin tail lashing angrily. This better be good

Sparrowclaw (DesertClan Warrior)

Sparrowclaw scoffed, but said nothing else to the medicine cat. He was (mostly) used to his VERY grumpy nature. He followed after Camel, his bobbed tail shaking ever so slightly. He wondered how Siltpaw was with this cat as a mentor. Maybe he'd ask her later, if there wasn't anything else more important. He wasn't normally one to start conversation with Camel, but he still asked, "So, how's Siltpaw?"

Camel:

Camel glanced at Sparrowclaw with an irritated look. He wasn't in the mood for small-talk. "She is what she is, a thorn in the tail." He responded with a growl before entering Cougarstar's den and instantly remarking "what in Starclan's name do you want this's time you self-righteous cactus?" Before sitting down sloppily, with one leg sticking out and his back slouched in a bored way. Witch he was, but still.

Bristling at Camel's remark he was practically about to claw the medicine cat's yellow eye clean out, but restrained himself and instead gave Camel a harsh look, witch the Sphinx cat clearly ignored "watch your tongue Camel" Cougarstar growled "you might loose it".

Sparrowclaw (DesertClan Warrior)

Sparrowclaw's fur bushed up in annoyance, "My daughter is anything but." He hissed quietly to Camel. He sat near Cougarstar, trying to put as much distance away from him and Camel as possible.

Cougarstar:

"Now that we're all here" Cougarstar began "I'd like to discuss a plan I have for stealing herbs from Swampclan territory. Our camp is directly in front of theirs, if we were to walk straight out from our camp towards the border, we'd hit their camp and because it's close to the border, it's easy to patrol. However, if we head to the cactus meadow, we can circle round and enter their territory through the side, take their herbs, and get out. We could even build a large storage area for herbs on the route where we circle round, and then make trips to and from that to bring the herbs into camp. The trip would take from pre-dawn to post-dusk just to get to the territory using this route, so I propose we build dens in the storage area, travel there, sleep, steal herbs all the next day before returning to the storage point, and on the third day return with as much as you can carry" Cougarstar finished "Any ideas?"

Camel smirked at Sparrowclaw in satisfaction at ruffling the deputy's fur, before returning his acquiescent attention to the leader's ramble. "Too much effort, too little reward. I say scrap the plans, I'm going back to sleep" Camel stated calmly before getting up to attempt to exit the den. But SOMEBODY would most likely stop him.


Salimanderstar:

"Now, about that ceremony" Salimanderstar muttered to herself before hopping on top of her den and clearly letting her voice ring out. "Let all cats old enough to swim join beneath the bolder for a clan meeting" she had been thinking about what to name the two new warriors and she had perfect names in mind.

Siltpaw She-cat, 8moons Medicin cat  Apprentice (Desert Clan)	He heard his fathers voice ring out across the camp, she saw Camel walk out of the Medicine cat den mumbling to him self. Camel was a grumpy cat but she didn't let that get to her. She was devoted to the study of different herbs. If the old tom every hiss something venomous to her she let it roll of her like water on a ducks back. With out asking her mentor she walked out of the den a few paces behind. What ever the medicine cat was doing she should be doing she thought to herself. As she left the den she heard her father and gave a warm smile to him then asked " Is this something that I could be of use for Father?" she asked knowing that it would get of Camels nerves, but she didn't care.
Dunepaw Tom, 8moons Apprentice  (Desert Clan)	Duskpaw was already did awake, for a young cat he didn't sleep much. He had been reorganizing his collection of small rodent and lizard skulls based on size. He got most of them from finding owl pellets and directing them, He almost had a full skeleton of a quail. Many cat found him to be a bit off, when it came to collecting such things, but he didn't care. As he was done with organizing he walked out sized of the den and warned his fur on the breeze and sun.
Ivyfoot She-cat 20 Moons Warrior (Swamp Clan)	Ivyfoot was cleaning her fur by the warriors den, she had a hunch that two apprentices were going to be named with their warrior names today. 'Great..' she thought 'more cats in the den'. she seemed a bit grumpy today, but her face didn't show anything. She sat up and walked over to the pile of fresh kill and picked out a piece for her to eat. But before she could pick one out she heard her leader call all the cats to the center of camp. "well i guess ill have to eat later" She whispered to her self. She padded over to where the other warriors were and sat down.

Sparrowclaw nodded in agreement with Cougarstar's plan. "It's a good idea, but perhaps we should only send a few warriors and make one den to share. We can't spare all of them for herbs. We should need only one or two to protect Camel and Siltpaw when they collect the herbs." The tom looked down to see his daughter. He shook his head 'no' but did not say anything to her. This conversation was important! He hadn't meant to be mean, but in the back of his mind, he knew he was.

Hollystripe (SwampClan Warrior)

Hollystripe sat where she was, glancing at the apprentice den. Hopefully, all three of them would come out from hearing Salimanderstar's call.
