If you're in Mountain Domain, hunt at North Plain at Spring. Sell everything you caught. (At least that's what I do...)

sooo i do this thing where i take A LOT of the prey that my mate likes and have like probably 60 to 100 prey stocked up then give them 3 prey each day after "do you want a kit(s)" and when i have kits if i have leftovers then i sell them all and get like 150 to 250 mews

I just go around collecting everything I find then selling it all the problem with that though is inventory space so invest in some inventory space first!

sell all the prey you can, upgrade your den to have the gardening option, and grow herbs. catnip is very profitable once you find enough to grow it.

Well, here's what I like to do;
-Collect berries/licorice root since they are available each season and abundantly. In Summer I collected enough raspberries and licorice root to hold me over for most the season, and in Fall I collected enough blackberries (I believe around 20 total) so that I didn't have to eat any prey during Winter.
-I went and hunted only where rare prey (crows, black hares, etc...) spawned. Since I was in a Custom Colony near the Forest Domain I was able to hunt in the Fairy woods to get frogs, doves and fish. However, I do believe Prairie Copse, Canyon Prairie, Hallowed Garden and Prairie Copse are good places to hunt as well since I've had extremely rare prey spawn in there as well.
-As others mentioned expanding your den to include the garden and having four catnip plants is a good way to rack in a bunch of mews. You should also expand your inventory as soon as you possibly can.
However, keep in mind I didn't mine at all for most my game. If you do that frequently then I'm not sure how much the berry/licoric root strategy will work for you.
(p.s., sorry for the huge block of text lmao)

I recently went on a hunt to get all the catnip plants in about 24 hours in game time, and during that time I also hunted and picked up prey, bugs, and other herbs. Stopping at each camp as I went I was able to sell my surplus and make about 200+ Mews that day. Rinse and repeat
