Cattails Tutorial Videos: Official Thread

I was going to do a Restore the Balance video. What I haven't decided is if I'm going to make 6 videos, 1 for each pillar, or if I'm going to put them all in one video. What do you think I should do?

6 videos, because who really has time to watch a really long video? What if they want to watch a short video, then do what the video told ya and not have to remember it all? Also it would keep people looking on your channel and give you more subscribers ;}

True. I thought the romance video was going to be a long one, but that one was probably easier to edit down.

Yeah. I have my own channel, but I'm terrible at editing so even if I make mistakes I just post it.

With the Restore the balance videos, I might need to show more than just short clips for each step. Some of them won't be very long, but others might. The one at the Abandoned Cottage might take longer, for example.

Some will be very quick, like the one you start with. I might show getting all the items for each one.

Maybe I'll at least put the name of the location I find my items in. Like I did in the foraging video with all the herbs

You know what? I totally just realized something here.

The video was Valentine's Day inspired, but I unintentionally named all the kittens after flowers, which are often given as gifts on Valentine's Day. Iris, Daisy, and Blossom. Then there's my cat Rosie. Ashes is not a flower name, but yesterday was also Ash Wednesday.

I promise all this was 100% unplanned.

It's only been a few days since I did the all nighter and played Cattails for 12 hours straight to get the Romance Guide video up on Valentine's Day, but I already want to do another tutorial. The only problem is that I can't make up my mind about what to do next. This is why I set up a poll. I'll go with the one that receives the most votes. Keep in mind that the Restore the Balance one will likely be done in parts, or split into more than one video.

I probably won't sit up until 10am with these. I had no choice to the last time. The all nighter was the only way the Romance Guide was going to get uploaded in time for Valentine's Day, since I came up with the idea in the evening of the 13th. So, I really had no other options there, haha.

Looks like the Train the kittens option is getting the most right now. I'll leave the poll open for a little while longer, still. All of these will be done eventually no matter what.

Cattails was the last thing I thought I'd be stressing over, but then I got the Valentine's Day video idea. xD But I got it done.

It's been a week since I set up the poll, and Training the Kittens option is still in the lead. I guess that's the one I'll go with. I have spring break from March 2nd - March 11th. I will be away from home for all of that, but I am bringing my computer and my game controller for Cattails. Maybe I'll get something out by the time spring break is over with? No promises, though.

Ok, I know the poll says I'm supposed to raise the kittens next. But, I just got an idea to try to get the restore the balance video(s) out in time for the Custom Colony update on the 16th. I have less than a week to do it. I'm going to have to hurry, but I think I can do it.
