I’m not sure if anyone else has this problem but the movement of my cat character tends to lag in movement throughout the game and it’s a little frustrating for me.
It especially gets slow around places with bodies of water and lots of trees, and in the camp colonies as well.
I understand that this is only the beta, and that this isn’t the full release of the game, but can anyone maybe tell me how to make the movement not lag so much?

Sorry to hear you're experiencing some lag!
One thing you might try: Go to Video settings and make sure that both "FancyLights" and "FancyMap" are set to OFF. That should speed things up a little bit.
Can I ask what OS you're using and what your computer specs are?

Correct me if anything is wrong because I’m not the best when it comes to figuring out computers! My OS is a Dell laptop and I have windows 10 installed My computer specs I think are a 64-bit operating system. x64-based processor. My RAM has 16.0 GB. |

My game also does this, my game starts going twice as slow. Happens on my laptop and on my computer. I have turned both the fancy map and lights off. Please fix this!

I experience lag as well. This is especially prominent in areas with a lot of water (beach areas, delta, wetland source, and a bit at canyon cliffs) and in my den. I have FancyMap and FancyLight turned off.

This also happens to me to its kind of annoying please fix this. I have all those features turned off too.

basicly time slows down cause you can notice it on the cooldowns timer, or processing slows down. not sure what causes it. hopefully you guys figure it out, its an awesome game

Oh yeah, I just recalled, it's different from zone to zone, i think its the water physics, the more water in a zone the more slow it gets, and I tend to run away from these zones as fast as i can, hmmmm.... sometimes other zones lag a little though .. :/

I'm having kinda the same problem my game is just slow it does not change with water in the erea if there was an option to turn of something I would like that but Ive looked at some steam options and stuff and cant fix it, I have a gaming computer so I would thisk it would not be slow

This only happens for me when I'm near the ocean, but yeah. My computer meets the specs but lags too.

my game lags when I walk my cat is slow I have a gaming computer and other games are not slow at all its just this game maybe if there was more settings to turn off maybe that would work I have tried to turn of settings for the game but that does not do anything at all
I just want to play the game without any slowness or lag I love the game and don't mean any harm to the creator at all but I just don't want a laggy game.

My game becomes slow whenever I return to my den, I guess it’s because of the prey I hoard but I don’t know where else to put them.

I was playing Cattails yesterday when I walked by the lake, and instead of the water being all one big river, every single space of water was a square, with a small space of land between them. It basically looked like the keys of a keyboard, with the spaces between the keys being grass and the keys being water. Sometimes when I walked across it it would act like I had not walked on water, I had only walked on land and I would not swim, only walk. But other times it would be water and I could swim in it, its just really weird. I'm guessing that its the way the game is programmed, that each little tile of earth was placed down and can be rotated, like to change the direction of the water in some places.
