What if, when a random cat of another colony appears on the same map tile as you, and there is no set battle happening in that tile, there could be a 50/50 chance of them not attacking when approached, but instead being more peaceful rather than aggressive?

Well there is something kind of like that. When you have a high enough approval with another colony, aside from determined fights for territory, the guards and patrols from that clan will no longer attack you if they see you wandering around. I think it has to be around 75% or so, the amount needed for you to join the clan.

While on the random half chance, you never know what their next move might be, with a high rep it's more like... "I know they won't do squat to me unless I clawed at their ears." So I guess it's predictable Vs. unpredictable, a surprise might be nice but also a challenge of survival... An interesting idea, maybe something to build on how rep already works in the Beta game?
