Hey all, I was thinking about it today and I find it a little strange that the in-game cats routinely fight to the death over territory (boy, these colonies must be huge!). I feel like it would make more sense for enemy cats to KO, like they did in Untold Tales, and then further attacks could kill them. This could even lead to an additional "reputation" system where sparing cats would have different effects than killing them. I just found it a bit unrealistic (not that the game claims perfect realism anyway lol), since if you look at wild animals that fight (i.e. wolf packs), most "fights" are actually a lot of bluff and bluster. Fighting is dangerous for both parties, so it's to both their benefit to try and act bigger and tougher without actually duking it out and risking serious injury. Obviously fighting is a big mechanic in Cattails, and I'm certainly not suggesting it be removed, but I feel like the high death toll is a tad beyond the realm of reason. What do you guys think?

That would make a lot of sense, because death fights rarely happen.

I like this idea and would totally like to see this ingame maybe while they're KO'd if you kill them it decreases your reputation with that colony? I feel like it'd be weird if you start killing other cats and the colony just shrugs it off I know with the new reputation system with the other colonies wont decrease when you "KO" them but I feel like if this gets added in then killing cats will cause the reputation to drop a little. killing isn't a good thing, so why should the other colonies just ignore it? figured i'd try to give some extra input (trying to put too much thought into this so sorry if this seems a bit messy and hard to understand ^^')

Heck, maybe there could even be a sort of "standings" system with the other colonies-- fighting honorably would increase your reputation with another colony, and might make battles less violent/less likely and could even lead to colonies becoming friendlier with each other, perhaps? Whereas killing cats (dishonorable fighting) could make other colonies more wary. Battles could become more frequent and more enemy cats would appear. Perhaps each could have some effect for your cat as well. Thank you guys for your support and suggestions!
