North's ears pricked at the sound of pawsteps behind her. Immediately, she turned around to see something running at her. She had never meant to give her powers away so early, but as if a reaction, her jaws opened wide. Quickly, a blue orb formed within it, and in a matter of seconds, she whipped her head, sending the ball with force towards the creature.

(-Rushes to post-)
Iris shrugged at Thorn's question and replied, "Half squid and half kid." She ended with a little wink. Squid kid was a term for young inklings where she came from. To show Thorn what she meant, she took her left hair piece and turned it so she could see her tentacle. A small smile was still present on her face as she waited to see the cat's reaction.

Iris made a little gasp when the cat talked. "Woaaaaah, Zinnia, it talks!" There was a child-like excitement to the girl's voice that she couldn't hide. "Judd's another cat where I'm from. Hey, what's your name? I'm Iris, and the pink one behind me is Zinnia." There was a kind smile to her face that was genuine. Iris was simply a genuine kind of person, which at times could lead her to be easily manipulated. Though, of course, she doesn't quite realize this due to her optimism.

Iri's pointy ears picked up the noise of some rustling. She paused in her tracks. Her wide, purple eyes scanned the area before seeing some splotches against the greenery. Her head was tilted slightly, confused for a moment. She smiled brightly at the sight once she realized what is was. "Zinnia, Zinnia look! It's another Judd!" Back at her home, there was a cat named Judd that decided the winner of turf wars and others. Besides the fat cat in her home, she had never seen one before! Immediately, she dropped to her knees to get a better look at the cat, the same curiosity from earlier back in her gaze. (Fine by me! Also added a picture for Iris!) Cinder, 86

Iris rolled her eyes in a joking way. "Wooooooooow," she said sarcastically, "You'll be more popular than Marina and Pearl when you get back! Can I have your autograph, Zinnia?" Grabbing her Splattershot pro and holding it in front of her, she said in a begging tone, "Oh please, sign my weapon! It'd be an honor!" A smirk formed on her face as she finished and she gently put her gun away. Her eyes were twinkling with mischief.

Iris knew the voice sounded younger when she first heard Zinnia, so she wasn't quite surprise when she found out she was 16. When asked the question, she put her hand on her head in embarrassment, and nearly winced when it hurt again. She had forgotten she had somehow injured it. "Sadly, B- in Tower Control. Tower Control is so much fun!!!" She said happily. "What about you?"

Iri's eyes widened slightly. "34?! Wow, you're dedicated! I'm close to level 22. Though, in my defense, I've taken a break from all the splatting. Been trying to make some friends, you know?" By the end of her sentence, Iris was reminded of another question she wanted to ask. "I'm 18 years old. How about you? You seem pretty mature." Her smile had formed into a smaller one now, showing her previous excitement was still there, but had subsided a bit.

Iris laughed once Zinnia was finished, though not at her. She just found the way Zinnia acted towards her funny. With confidence in her step, she began to walk. She was used to having her Orcas on concrete or ink, so having them on grass felt quite odd. Oh, I hope there's no water here! she though to herself worriedly. However, she distracted herself. "So, Zinnia. What level are you?" Iris started up a conversation with ease. She was a pretty social inkling in general, making her somewhat known back in Inkopolis.

Iris stopped mumbling to herself once Zinnia stepped out behind the tree. She put her hands to her hips and cocked her head slightly, resulting in her two purple tentacles to swish. "Took you long enough," She teased with a friendly smile on her face. "Zinnia, huh? It fits you. I'm Iris." She didn't hesitate to tell the other her name. Clearly, Iris was relaxed about the whole situation. She didn't even acknowledge the fact that Zinnia said she didn't trust her. "Wanna explore?" She suddenly asked her, the smile on her face not fading in the slightest. "And, you know you can put that stick down, right?"

Iris listened with raise eyebrows as the voice continued on with her speech. The girl sounded annoyed and completely frustrated, similar to herself. She was zoning out a little bit by the end of it, but perked up at the name of 'zapfish'. "Wait, you're an inking, too?" She asked. She walked a bit closer, no longer clutching her weapon as firmly. "Come out then, I won't splat your or anything." To prove her good will, she clipped the large weapon on the side of her pants.
As she waited for a response, Iris began mumbling to herself. "I need to get back and help Marie. She still needs me to do missions or whatever. Oh, woomy! I wanted to go see Sheldon for a new weapon." She sighed, not realizing she had used some squid speech as a curse. "And there's a Splatfest next weekend I wanted to train a bit for..." She trailed off, her frustration only growing as she realized how much she needed to do.

Iris nearly jumped at the sound of another voice. She hadn't expected a response. She herself pointed her Splattershot in the direction of the new voice, saying, "Who are you?" Her voice was neutral, if anything a bit curious. Although she had been startled before, she wasn't exactly scared. The voice sounded a bit younger, though of course she couldn't clarify that. "Do you live here or something? What is this place?" Iris couldn't keep the questions from flowing out. Yup, she was definitely curious.

Iris opened her, completely confused. She had been in an easy turf war, her team was winning by having most of the middle covered in ink. She tried to rise up, but winced as she did so. She tentatively put her hand to her head, flinching once more. She must have hurt it somehow. After awhile of attempting to stand, she finally did so. Looking at her surroundings, she could see her splattershot laying on the ground, and she quickly picked it back up. This definitely isn't Inkopolis. Shrugging to herself, the squid kid began to call out, "Hello? Anyone else here?" Her hand was still on her head.
