“That isn’t your call to make. Shadowpaw is apart of this clan and you aren’t. Your help goes against everything the warrior code stands for.” He narrowed his eyes to slits as he watched the she-cat. He frowned when Applepaw seemed to recongize her as well. This was turning into a bigger mess by the minute. This she-cat needed to get out of their camp.
Applepaw was purring lightly as he went to stand beside Princess. “It’s Applepaw.” He corrected with a bright smile. “I’m glad to see you too.” Applepaw purred before turning to look at the cats around him, especially Otterfur who was yowling about how she wasn’t apart of this clan of this clan so, thus she shouldn’t be able to help.
Applepaw tipped his head in clear confusion. “What is the difference? She saved us.” The apprentince mewed softly looking between Rainstar and Shadowpaw. They needed help, now more than ever.
Sprucestar watched seeing the hesitation in Ravenfang’s words. “Every warrior that can fight. Apprentices as well I’m assuming.” The leader mewed slowly. It didn’t take much intelligence to see Ravenfang’s adopted daughter and the fact he wanted to keep her out of harms way, like he would with his own kits. “It will be a difficult feat. If we fail to pull it off at the right time, both our camps will be vulnerable. Kits, queens, and elders will all be at the mercy of Nightstar.”
His claws dug into the dirt. Even he was blind enough to not see the writing on the wall. This could fail very easily. “Of course then we could put an end to Shadowclan and plague it is spreading.” He raked a claw across the dirt.

Princess leaned forward and affectionately nuzzled Applepaw, drawing the wide eyed stares of the gathered cats. Well, for some reason or another, Applepaw was...well acquainted with this kittypet. She smiled as the apprentice defended her, stepping nearer to him and turning around to face the other cats.
He brushed up close to Applepaw with a loud purr emanating from her. "You see? He understands. There isn't anything wrong with being friendly, even if I'm not in your clan." She leaned down and licked the top of Applepaw's head.
Shadowpaw wasn't any less shocked as Otterfur, of all the cats gathered, was the one to say that he, Shadowpaw, the Shadowclan foreigner, was a part of this clan. It was said simply as a passing fact, as if there was no further discussion about it; yet to Shadowpaw it was affirming and also very confusing to hear.
He stared at Applepaw as the kittypet seemed to get very...warm with him, claiming the clan cats were being harsh and stiff. Not knowing how to feel about what was going on, he uncomfortably shuffled around on his paws.
Rainstar watched, harsh disapproval flashing in her eyes as she glared down at Applepaw, who was currently receiving loads of affection and warmth from this kittypet. It was disconcerting to see a kittypet acting this way towards a clan cat. "So, you know each other pretty well?" She quietly mewed, a hint of something...foul in her voice. "You are the one who stirred her curiosity about Windclan?" It was a dangerous question, almost meant to stir the apprentice's fear of the leader; yet Rainstar had no way to know Applepaw wasn't the only one Princess had spoken to about the clan.
A bead of sweat started dripping down the back of Princess' neck. She didn't want to get Spiky in trouble, but...the leader sure sounded mad at Applepaw...this was a conundrum. She had thought Applepaw was living in one of the other clans! At least, thats what she remembered...she must of been wrong...
"We saved some of the Riverclan cats. Not a lot, but..." He sighed quietly. "We need to decide how to approach this. Shadowclan is controlling the "riverclan" camp now, holding any of the alive cats there. We could try to rescue them first. We can take time to plan soon. But..." He cleared his throat awkwardly. He was about to mention The Pelts, and the arrangement they had tried to make. however, he held his tongue. The Pelts hadn't shown at the agreed place, so he wasn't sure if they were a reliable source of help.
"..Well, um...despite that, we do...have a Shadowclan cat." Ravenfang intentionally didn't mention the cats name. While Shadowpaw was from Shadowclan, he believed that Tawnyface would have much more organized knowledge about the Shadowclan camp and territory. Yet, he felt it might be better to leave her out of this conversation, for now.
He took in a deep breath, shaking his head at Sprucestar's final comment. "Starclan wants there to be four clans that lived separate yet harmoniously. We can not eradicate Shadowclan...there must be something that is leftover...that comes after Nightstar is defeated." If they wiped the clan out, the balance would be thrown into disarray, and they would be...would they be any better than Nightstar and his Shadowclan?

Applepaw sat there perfectly content with the kittypet showing him clear affection. What reason would he not to? She’d saved him and other cats from starving. At first he seemed completely oblivious to the confusion of the other cats at seeing just how comfortable he was around the strange she-cat. He might have visited her once or twice when they were with the Pelts, even if Redsky wouldn’t have been all that approving if she found out about it.
Princess was clearly warm and welcoming. He stopped his purring briefly when Rainstar hissed something about them knowing each other well. Blinking he only now caught on to the fact he probably had made the wrong move in front of all these cats. He’d just been so happy to see her...
”She had a twolegs feed us when we were on the run from Nightstar. She was the only cat who helped us...” He mewed softly shrinking back a little. His eyes flickered between Otterfur and Rainstar. Neither of them had come to help them right away. It was non-clan cats that had shown him kindness. Was it really that bad that he knew her.
Twitching an ear back he swallowed a little stepping back, pressing against Princess’ side. “I told her about Riverclan before everything...” He tried somewhat feebly to decent himself against the leader’s harsh look. Panic flashed in his eyes. Was he the one who was getting Princess in trouble? He looked up at the kittypet.
Wrenflight frowned as she watched Applepaw and Princess. They clearly knew each other, but he wasn’t “Spiky” whoever that was. When Rainstar turned on Applepaw. It took everything in power to hold her tongue. She wanted to give Princess the chance to correct Rainstar’s assumptions on her own. If not she would probably have to step in to keep Applepaw from getting in as much trouble as she was going to be in.
The leader sighed as Ravenfang explained their two options, neither one of them sounded terribly appealing. “If we would raid Riverclan we’d need to attack with smaller numbers and slog through the mud and water. We’d have more mouths to feed than warriors I’m sure. They probably only kept the cats that were going to be useful.” Sprucestar spoke rather callously about the cats held in Riverclan. “They’ve been dumping the rest into the river after their done with them.” The leader seemed to know a decent amount about what was going on in the other clans. How, exactly he would leave up to the deputy’s imagination.
“I know about the Shadowclan cat. My cats were the ones who brought her back to the clans in the first place.” The leader narrowed his green eyes, possibly still holding a grudge. He thought Ravenfang was referring to Lilyheart, the former Shadowclan medicine cat. He didn’t seem to know about Tawnyface yet.
His pelt prickled a tiny bit. “I know I may look mousebrained, believe me I grasp the idea of four clans living in harmony. But, we can’t assumed that killing Nightstar would really make the whole rest of the clan go back to normal. Any cats who supported or benefited from Nightstar’s reign will have to be dealt with.” Sprucestar didn’t bother to hide his annoyance for having to state what he thought was obvious.
Sprucestar sighed shaking his head. “If we can’t agree on how to deal with Shadowclan, then I guess we should try to help Riverclan if we can.”

Princess' fur bristled a little as Applepaw shrunk back, clearly scared of the leader and pathetically defending himself to her. "Go easy on him! You're terrifying the kitten!" Her voice rang with disapproval as she scolded the leader of Windclan so boldly.
There was a moment of hesitation from Rainstar as Applepaw explained what had happened. It had been kittypets who helped them survive before any of the clans had reached out. Prey had been scarce and the threat of Shadowclan had been real. Maybe she needed to draw on her lessons of the past few days and be more open and forgiving to what seemed to be foreign to them.
Sighing quietly, casting her gaze down to her paws as her shoulders slumped slightly, the equal parts of Applepaw's scared innocence and Princess' bold scolding guilting her somewhat. Casting her glance back to Applepaw, she cleared her throat. "I understand. You didn't know when your next meal would be." She glanced at Princess. "I hope Starclan is as understanding."
She turned back to Wrenflight. It still didn't mean the Riverclan cat should have been so bold as to decide she could see the camp.
"Rainstar..." a quiet mew came from her side, and the leader turned to look at Shadowpaw, who was reticently looking up at the leader, that same 'unsure-if-I-should-be-saying-a-word' look on his face. She nodded curtly to him to speak. "I...I know it might be...frowned upon...but...at a time like this, when Shadowclan is...murdering clan leaders..." He gulped, a stab of pain striking at his heart as he said those words- "...maybe drawing on unusual friends to keep ourselves strong and ready...what I mean is maybe...Starclan wouldn't...umm..." he trailed off, his cheeks going red as the pressure of Rainstar's stare got to him, and he shrunk back, casting his gaze downwards.
Ravenfang seemed to listen intently and with interest as the Thunderclan leader described the knowledge he had about what had been happening. It didn't surprise him too much that the clan had known and yet continued to act on their own without thinking of pairing with another clan. Such was what was to be expected from the Thunderclan cats. "You might be right. It may be kits, elders, and apprentices left. The ones who fight...they are killed." It was a dark thought. He did not want to abandon cats to that fate just because they would not be that useful to the fight against Shadowclan.
Ravenfang's hackles on the back of his neck raised as Sprucestar mentioned having brought the cat back. It took him a moment to realize the two cats were thinking in two different spaces. At least Sprucestar knew not of Tawnyface yet. The thought that anyone who supported or gained from Nightstar's rule would have to be 'dealt with...' That would need more thought. More argument. Ravenfang wasn't comfortable with it, thinking about punishing Tawnyface after all that had happened.
He finally nodded and sighed in resignation. "Okay. Riverclan. We can coordinate an attack on them very soon." He quietly murmured. He looked down at the rabbit which had been sitting in front of him for almost a minute, a pang of hunger sounding loudly in his stomach. He finally reached down and took a bite from it, then pulled his head back up and finished swallowing it. "I will discuss with Otterfur, then."

Applepaw smiled softly to Princess as she defended him. His smile faded when Rainstar turned to look at him again. Flickering his ears forwards he watched Rainstar somewhat begrudgingly admit that she understood, but she hoped Starclan would understand. He froze a little as he nervously glanced up towards the sky. “I hope Shadestar isn’t mad at me.” Applepaw deflated again at the thought that he had disappointed his father who had idolized his entire life.
He didn’t look up when Shadowpaw nervous spoke up. He flinched when he brought up Shadowclan killing clan leaders. Would that make Starclan angry too? The small tom had no idea. Shuffling his paws he stared down at his paws.
Wrenflight frowned when Rainstar seemed to shut down Shadowpaw with her hard glares. She stood up taller when Rainstar turned her venomous look on her. “Shadowpaw is right. If we keep seeing every cat as our enemies than we’re going to isolating ourself again.” She slowly turned to look at Princess. “We can’t take kittypet, but maybe there’s something we can do.” The Riverclan she-cat mewed hesitantly with a nervous twitch of her tail.
“Riverclan it is then.” Sprucestar slowly nodded his head taking his own bite of the rabbit. “About five days from now will be the best time to attack. Talk to Otterfur and find out the best ways to get into their camp undetected. I will get my best cats together.” Slowly pushing himself back to his paws he looked around the camp with a thoughtful frown. Blueweed and Aspenpaw had been gone quithe a while now.
As he was thinking that the barrier rustled. He sat up as Rosethorn burst in first, with Brackencall coming into camp just behind the medicine cat with long scars running down his sides. Blueweed and Aspenpaw hovered on either side of the deputy. And right behind them came Hazelrunner carefully carrying two rabbits to the prey pile. “What in the name of Starclan?” He growled a little as the deputy was herded towards the medicine cat den.

Rainstar tail twitched as various cats spoke up and voiced how they were feeling about the current situation. Wrenflight was right--they couldn't start taking kittypets in. Yet she wasn't so unbending that she couldn't see why they did what they did.
She finally gave a loud, exhausted sigh. "This isn't even mine to decide anymore," She turned around. "Wrenflight, you can escort her out. Find out where she lives if you really want. But we need to discuss this with Ravenfang, as well as Wildberry, before we make that sort of choice."
Ravenfang's ears folded back against his head. Five days? That was sure a long wait, and a specific one at that. Sprucestar had something on his mind. Either a plan or a preoccupation. As he listened, he felt the possibility of some sort of interruption of their plans in those days.
Still, they did need to prepare. He nodded in affirmation and already began thinking of how he would prepare his clan. Once they-
He too turned around as the noisy group of cats came through the entrance. His eyes narrowed with puzzlement, staring at Hazelrunner with a face that said something like Uhh...what? Why had she come over here?

Wrenflight blinked when Rainstar seemed to come around the tiniest bit to seeing the value of making friends with cats outside of the clans. Nothing was decided, but it was progress. She nodded her head and looked towards Princess. “I’ll help you get back. It’s getting dark.” The Riverclan warrior looked towards the dark night sky.
Wrenflight turned to lead the way back of camp, but was surprised when Applepaw jumped up and made hurried over to stand in front of her with a twinkle in his eye.
“Can I come with you?” Applepaw mewed with a bright smile. Of course he wanted to tag along and go explore the twolegs place again. He scampered around Wrenflight’s paws, running in quick circles this way and that.
The she-cat danced back at little watching the apprentice scamper about. “I guess so.” Wrenflight frowned a little as she nodded her head. There was a squeak of excitement as he followed on her heels towards teh entrance. She was probably going to end up getting more heat for letting Applepaw tag along, but she was already in trouble and Applepaw didn’t seem ready to say goodbye to the kittypet just yet.
Hazelrunner looked at deputy with a similar look of confusion at just how exactly she’d gotten wrapped up with this parade of cats coming into Thunderclan cats. She had spied Aspenpaw and Blueweed and offered to help them find the rabbits that Ravenfang had buried. Then Brackencall and Rosethorn had come bursting through the brush with Brackencall close on his heels. Then they’d been in a mad dash towards camp for some reason. Sprucestar brushed past her to check on the Thunderclan deputy and medicine cat. Rosethorn, the russet tom, was clearly more ruffled than anything, while Brackencall was limping with a large scratch down his side. Hazelrunner hadn’t had time to ask what was going on.
Dropping the pretty she trotted over to Ravenfang. Blinking she looked around camp with some bewilderment. “Hey Ravenfang, Rainstar sent me to get you.” Hazelrunner explained briefly flicking her tail nervously from side to side.

Rainstar turned back to them as Applepaw suddenly squeaked for permission to tag along with them. She slowly opened her mouth, about to deny the request, not wanting the apprentice out this late in the evening...or with the kittypet who seemed very affectionate towards him. She was silenced as Wrenflight, once again, made this choice on her own, for Applepaw. She harrumphed quietly, turning around and stalking away, towards the elder's den. She didn't have the patience for this right now. "Shadowpaw, I want some prey." She barked over her shoulder to the apprentice.
Shadowpaw hurried forwards towards the pile of prey that had been gathered over the last few days. It was a measly pile, discouraging for certain. He picked up something that looked to be fresh, then turned to the elder's den and brought it to her.
Rainstar gazed at the piece of prey Shadowpaw had dropped at her paws. Sighing quietly, she picked it up in her jaws, and in a strange decision, left the den and brought it back to the pile. When she returned to the very confused and slightly worried Shadowpaw, she sat down beside him with a much older piece of prey. She seemed to recognize his confusion right away. "I'm old, Shadowpaw. There are nursing queens, and growing apprentices much like yourself, who will benefit from the fresh quality of a recent piece of prey, much more than an aged pile of bones like me will." Her voice was weary and tired. The honest truth was that Rainstar was not very old for a leader. All of the elders were older than her. Even Longshadow was. It seemed that recent events had simply made her feel more so.
"I know you haven't been taught this...but here, we believe its the job of the older to take care of and pave the path for the younger." She began eating the piece of prey without expanding on why this was their belief. Shadowpaw certainly seemed uncertain after hearing it."Why is that the responsibility of older cats? Don't we have to forge our own way in the world? Isn't it more...honorable? And worthy?" Shadowpaw spoke from a perspective that didn't sound as demented as Nightstar's. In truth, he was reciting how his mother had tried to explain his father's principles. She had tried to rationalize them back then; perhaps one of her few flaws. He remembered that.Rainstar noted Shadowpaw's grasping of honor. Even if his last while of life had been under Nightstar's paw, it wasn't a bad thing that he had a basic understanding of honorable behavior...even if it was muddled in what made a cat 'worthy' or not. "Well, Shadowpaw...To push yourself to be the best warrior you can be, even if its a thunderpath filled with many monsters...that is honorable. A warrior who does that is very respectable." She scooted over to the side to peer out of the elder's den, looking over at where they had been gathered, to see if Wrenflight was still there.
"Even with that said...we have a very limited amount of time in this clan. A cat can focus on making themself the most respect warrior possible...but it is also honorable to make certain that others, the cats who surround you, are able to do so as well. By doing this, we guarantee the strength and preservation of our clan into the future. This is the strength of a clan, versus the strength of a cat. Neither should be separate from the other."
"She is especially young, which makes her a rarity--but Hazelrunner understood that. She knows that to give to another is a kindness, something that you, in your life, have especially lacked. You have been given little opportunity to prosper into a warrior in your lifetime. Hazelrunner...desires to make up for that. She...is a great benefit to our clan, even if she is young and has polishing left to do. I know what Ravenfang has done, but..." Her eyes looked to the elders behind her, who made eye contact with her for a brief second before quickly turning to share tongues or bite ticks and pretend that they weren't listening. Lashing her tail once in irritation, she turned back to him. "...you need a cat like her..." She murmured quietly, then cleared her throat and quickly added on to this. "To, uh, guide you along on this journey. I hope Ravenfang recognizes that."Princess smiled down at the little kitten begging to come along. She hadn't realized how much of an effect her gift had had on Applepaw, but it seemed liek quite a good one. She purred happily as Wrenflight agreed to bring him along, then she began following along with the warrior as she exited the camp, turning and smiling at Applepaw as they did so.
Ravenfang recognized what seemed to be an equal amount of uncertainty from the warrior, biting his lip, before standing and approaching towards the group; when he saw Hazelrunner intercepting him, he came to a stop and waited for her.
He tilted his head slightly to the side as Hazelrunner said this. "I see." He didn't say anymore, taking in a small breath. He needed to tell Wildberry that he was leaving, and she probably would not like it. "Uhh...follow me." She awkwardly said, turning to the medicine cat's den.
Once he was near the entrance, he called in softly to the medicine cat. "Wildberry, Hazelrunner came to get me. It seems that Rainstar needs me for something." He glanced behind him at Sprucestar, then back to Wildberry. "Are you staying?"

Wrenflight couldn’t help, but feel complete relief as she stepped out the camp entrance. She didn’r normally like the exposed feeling of being on the moor, but after being crowded in camp it felt liberating to be out in the open. Looking around briefly she grunted as she nearly tripped over Applepaw who was still under paw the whole time.
Grunting she quickly recovered herself before she fell before looking down at Applepaw with a slight frown. “Applepaw.” She mewed with a slight frown looking at the Riverclan apprentince.
Applepaw quickly scrambled out of the way of Wrenflight as she nearly stepped on him. “Sorry, I got carried away.” The small apprentice mewed somewhat bashfully as he fell back to walk next to the kittypet. He tipped his head for a moment as a question seemed to come to him. Holding it in he looked towards Wrenflight as she quickly paced ahead of them.
“Um...can I ask you something?” The apprentice asked with a light smile. “Why did you want to come to Windclan?” Applepaw asked softly gazing up at Princess with curiously.
Hazelrunner blinked and slowly nodded her head as she quickly padded after the tom towards the medicine cat den. She was glad she ddin’t Have to explain what exactly Rainstar was calling back to camp for. She stayed near the entrance of the den watching the mob of Thunderclan cats was swarming around inside. She could barely see Wildberry’s head bobbing among the larger cats.
Sprucestar had his back to the Windclan cats, his pelt prickling as he hotly glared at Brackencall and Rosethorn, neith cat seeming ready to have an explanation for him. “Why were your both gone so long?” He hissed loudly before glancing over his shoulder at Ravenfang giving him a grateful nod before lumbering over to over to glare down at Brackencall for answers.
Wildberry yowled in surprise as several Thunderclan cats all crammed their way into the medicine cat den without any warning. She struggled to see over Sprucestar and tall Rosethorn. Grunting she quickly started to try to fight her way out of the den. She perked up her ears, which was the only part of her visible to the other cats. Frowning she tried to catch sight of the deputy.
She looked this way and that before sighing to herself. “I’ll come.” The medicine cat mewed loudly as she squeezed between the other cats. She sensed that it was time for them to leave Thunderclan to deal with their own issues now.
Appearing again her fur was ruffled as she looked between teh cat clearly questioning just what needed Ravenfang’s attention.

"Anyways, that wasn't even what I brought you here for," Rainstar sighed heavily. "I'm going to talk with Ravenfang, and...i just want you to know that, in the next half-moon or so...things could escalate. It...." She watched him carefully. "It could be...close to time." She watched him, gauging his reaction.
Princess, stilling down at Applepaw, looked away as her smile faded. She didn't want to get Spiky in trouble, but she needed to think carefully about her answer. "You know, after you cats found me, in the desperate state that you were in, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in the clans. What would be so terrible that you would be starved like this. And now...now I have an idea. Your clans...they struggle to even find a meal! Its awful." She went off on a tangent, distracting from what had really brought here. She couldn't give away Spiky's confidence.
Ravenfang avoided her gaze deliberately, avoiding the potential scolding that might be awaiting him from her harsh brain. He murmured a grateful thank you as he passed Sprucestar, then headed for the entrance to the camp as they began the trip back to Windclan.
He gave a quiet sigh of relief. Despite him losing lives, this conversation with Sprucestar had gone fairly well.

Wrenflight frowned a little when she heard Princess trying to carefully doctor her answer to avoid bringing up the mystery cat that had invited her here to begin with. She dind’t interupt the kittypet or confront her. Wrenflight smiled softly as she looked between the two cats before she picked up the pace starting to make her way towards the twoleg place.
His eyes went round as he listened to Princess’ excuse, eating it all up. He sighed softly a little as he glanced towards Wrenflight who was ahead of them. “You’re right. I think that we just should have stayed with the Pelts instead of coming here.” His voice was a quiet and softly squeak his ears lying flat against his head at the thought. Applepaw didn’t think that it had been a good idea to come back here. He of course hadn’t told any other cats that since he would get his ears clawed off for it.
”Windclan will probably get attacked and there will be no clan cats left after it.” Applepaw said rather glumly.
Wildberry frowned a little when she noticed that Ravenfang was avoiding her looks. Flicking her tail she went to stand beside the deputy glancing back into the medicine den staring at the Thunderclan cats. They seemed to be stable at least, if nothing else. There wasn’t more that they could really do for these cats anymore. “Let’s get back to camp then.” She mewed sighing as she eyed Hazelrunner.
The younger she-cat had started to feel a bit overwhelmed with all of what was going on in Thunderclan. It seemed almost chaotic. She watched Ravenfang wondering just how he would react to the news of Shadowclan maybe being helped by Amberberry. She blinked when Wildberry prompted her to lead the way to back to camp. Her pelt heated up with embarrassment before she quickly nodded her head and promptly snapped to attention.
“Oh yeah.” She mewed quickly turning to move out of Thunderclan camp.

Princess frowned down at the apprentice, her gaze lifting to look at Wrenflight as the apprentice voiced his fears. Her gaze returned down to him, and she leaned down, nuzzling him and licking the top of his head. "Well, if you..." She hushed her voice into a low, quiet hum. "If you ever think...well, I will always take you." She promised.
Shadowpaw was quiet, almost growing dizzy as Rainstar said this to him. Only a few seconds passed before he settled himself onto the ground. "You're...you're going to fight?" He choked on the words.
"I don't know, Shadowpaw. Something is coming, and I don't know what it is, but its coming. We need to get you ready." She quietly hissed. "I'm serious. We need to get you ready, and fast. We...I'm going to tell Ravenfang to speed up your training."
Shadowpaw gulped. He didn't like the sound of that.
---
Silence had held between the two of them, Shadowpaw staring down at his paws and Rainstar staring at him. That was, until the escort of cats came through the camp entrance, led by Hazelrunner. Hearing the commotion, she stepped past Shadowpaw and outside the den to gaze their way.

The small apprentince tipped his head as she dropped her voice offering to take him with her if anything happened. His eyes lit up noticeably as he moved closer to the she-cat with a quiet nod. “Thank you.” The tiny apprentince purred very quietly as he briefly glanced towards Wrenflight. He wasn’t planning on running off in the middle of the night, but it was reassuring to know that he would have somewhere to go. He picked up the pace as Wrenflight started to practially run across the moor, not looking back at the cats. — — — Hazelrunner gave an exhausted sigh as she finally made it to camp. Pushing through the entrance. Stepping aside she nodded her head towards Rainstar and motioned to Wildberry and Ravenfang coming through the entrance after her. She stepped aside, silently praying to Starclan that Rainstar could talk some sense into the deputy.

Rainstar gave a quiet sigh as she was nodded to by Hazelrunner. She turned back to Shadowpaw, ordering him out. "Back to your duties. I have discussions to hold."
She waited until the apprentice had scurried off and out of the elder cat's den, probably to go covertly approach Hazelrunner. She waved her tail at Ravenfang, seeing that Wildberry stood with him. She stepped out of the elder's den herself, inching closer to the ascent to the leader's den, out of earshot of the eavesdropping elders.
Once Ravenfang had approached her, she blinked at him with a studying gaze. His gaze was quizzical. "There are a few things that we must discuss...but first..." Her gaze drifted over Ravenfang's shoulder towards the warrior who had escorted them. "You have been incredibly unfair to Hazelrunner by banishing her from helping the apprentice. Since you performed your coup, I have began to feel our brains switched places. Your actions have resembled mine since I was leader, and mine yours." She didn't wait for him to respond. "Hazelrunner saved that cat's life, and is heavily invested in his success. Pulling her away from his side only serves to diminish his potential and increase the likelihood he will not become the good-hearted warrior he can be. Because anycat you spends so much time with Hazelrunner can not by any easy means fall into a mind of darkness. And that, you know, is truth."
Ravenfang blinked at her, his heart beginning to beat faster as Rainstar began this half-scold half-lecture about his actions. He had already been doubting what he had been doing slightly, and especially since Wildberry had whispered in his ear only a short time ago about his judgements. He knew that Hazelrunner cared for the tom-cat that she had saved, quite a bit. And he knew that she could only be a good influence on him. And that she was going to train him well. And that, well, being friends with Hazelrunner also meant he was, unknowingly, meeting the cat who was his only...well...
"You know that I am right. I see that in your eyes. Then what is your hesitation?"
Ravenfang bit his lip, casting his gaze down at his paws. "...Don't they...seem...very close...?"

The medicine cat slowly watched Rainstar emerge from the elder den and motioned for Ravenfang to come over. She was too tired to try and nose her way into their conversation. She supposed it would probably either go smoothly or she’d have to pull one of the cats off the other. Both of them had been prone to sudden outbursts because of something...
She frowned quietly thinking to herself about their strange actions lately as she slowly disappeared into the medicine cat den, casting a look over her shoulder before disappearing inside. Now, she had to try and get ready for whatever Sprucestar and Ravenfang had agreed on pulling off.
Hazelrunner trotted off to the side, slowly sliding her attention towards the apprentince as he slowly started to inch his way over. Plopping herself down in front of the warrior den she practically flopped on to her side with a loud yawn. She felt exhaustion washing over her after a long day. She glanced towards Shadowpaw wondering if he was going to want to train tonight as well. Her eyes flickered towards the two cats gathered under the leader’s den.
The wind picked up and carried the stench of twolegs through the camp. “What is that smell?” She mewed to herself as she sat up looking around in confusion. Her mind was briefly distracted by the overwhelming smell of kittypet in camp. What exactly had happened while she was gone?
