The Shadowclan cat ignored her loud yowls to try and get his attention. Instead, he swung his whole body towards the den and took off at a full run right for it. Hissing in anger Hazelrunner chased after him. She was so focused on the cat in front of her, not noticing the fact that Redsky was getting overwhelmed by two other cats. Like Lavenderfur, she decided it was more important to protect her clanmate who was still inside the den. The warrior had almost gotten inside the den before coming face to face with the Windclan tom standing protectively in the den. The Shadowclan cat’s eyes went wide and flattened his ears against his head. He took a lumbering step into the den unsheathing his claws as quickly as possible. Hazelrunner ran up behind the warrior to rake her claws down his back leg. The Shadowclan cat yowled out but, was unable to turn around to face her, instead having to move further into the den to get away from Hazelrunner.
The Shadowclan cat flopped backwards on to the ground taking the Riverclan she-cat down with her. Redsky was slammed down into the mud under the weight of the larger cat. It was like that for several moments. Grappling in mud she continued to slip trying to get her paws back under her. Falling back down into the mud she was left a bit dazed looking up at the two warriors standing over her. She kept her eyes fixed on the Riverclan cat. She only looked away when she felt claws rip into her throat. Lightening flashed over head.
The apprentince seemed ready to run across the camp to the medicine cat den. Applepaw yelped in surprise as the whole camp was lit up with a bright flash of lightening in the sky. With wised eyes she stared up on at the sky. He tried to get his jumping heart to relax. “I think I’m going to wait until the rain dies down a little.” The apprentince mewed with a bashful smile before sitting up peering out of the den.

Lavenderfur prepared to charge hard into the Shadowclan warrior approaching at a full stride. This was the one thing he had to do; keep this tom from getting to Dogclaw. He hardened his stance and prepared a defensive attack as the cat drew within striking distance, vaguely aware that if he just held the tom for a few moments, Hazelrunner would be there, and together, they would certainly take this cat down.
He weaved around the entering cat to keep his own body in between the warrior's chance to get away from Hazelrunner, trying to push him in between a warrior and the river. He lashed out straight for the cat's face, trying to rake down the cat's muzzle.
Ravenfang had seen the only two corners of camp where they still hadn't essentially conquered the camp; in one corner Hazelrunner and Lavenderfur had vanished into a den to fight an aggressor, and on another side Redsky in a disadvantageous situation. Not delaying himself any further, he hurried along to enter the battle.
He was past halfway there when suddenly the pair of Shadowclan and Riverclan cats teamed up to pull Redsky down to the ground, wasting little time as she was left dazed on the floor of the camp. Alarm shot through his system like a broken bone as he saw the impending blow--he redoubled his speed to try and reach them in time, but he was left to stare in full charge as claws tore down into the helpless cat's throat. He didn't even get the chance to breath as, at his full speed, he slammed into the cat who had just sunk his claws into Redsky.
Leafpaw gave an 'eep' of alarm as the lightening suddenly crashed through the sky, increasing the intensity of the rain into a pouring surge of water, crying down from the thunderclouds above. Peeking out very slightly from the den they had entered just in time, she stared up at the surging rain and the dark sky that loomed above them.
She swallowed as her muscles tensed. She still was uncertain Starclan was really watching over them, and this...this felt plainly ominous and foreboding.
He hadn't moved from his spot since Hazelrunner had left, still an anxious and discombobulated mess after Hawktail's entrance. When the lightening crashed overhead, Shadowpaw gave a cry of distress that was drowned by the pouring rain and crashing sound of thunder.
The hackles all over his body were raised and his pelt was absolutely soaked through, as he stayed in the path of the storming downpour, seeming to barely be aware of how much he was soaked and shivering.

The Windclan tom’s body was a frustrating blockade to the Shadowclan warrior who was aware of the fact that Hazelrunner was close behind him. The she-cat positioned herself in the entrance still swiping at the tom’s side. The tom tried to hunker himself down as much as possible, fighting in the claustrophobic space that didn’t give him much room to work with. His pupils dilated, darting this way and that to find the quickest way to get in a better position against these two cats. While he was distracted though, Lavenderfur’s claws connected with his muzzle. Hissing in surprise the tom leap back, struggling to stay upright when his paws landed in the rising water.
Hazelrunner squirmed her way all the way into the den, biting and scratching at the tom was he whirled around and retreated back. He had blood draining down his face from a large cut on his muzzle. Panting the warrior looked between the two of them before tightening his muscles and reared himself up at Lavenderfur. As he did this, Hazelrunner made a swipe at his exposed underbelly.
The she-cat on the ground was left staring up at her attacker, one of her own clanmates. Gasping she was trying to breath and get the air back in her lungs but, she just couldn't. The warrior that had attacked her was sent tumbling away as Ravenfang knocked him away the Shadowclan cat was left staring in partial bewilderment before reacting to the attack and trying to return it of one of their own. Looking up at Ravenfang, her eyes were wide and a little afraid. The mud around the wound from her neck was already starting to turn red. The she-cat blinked sluggishly having trouble focusing on anything. She continued to try to gasp and get air again.
Letting her head fall into the mud she closed her eyes, coughing and sputtering as she tried to move. The coughing stopped after a moment. She didn’t want to leave Applepaw or her clan like this.
Staring up at the sky the small apprentice blinked as a rain drop hit his face. Ducking back inside a little further, that feeling of anxiousness came back to him all at once. Closing his eyes as tight as he can he prayed to Starclan asking them to get rid of the dark clouds and let everyone come back home safely. He didn’t know if they would even hear him or not but, it was all Applepaw could think to do. He curled himself up closer to Leafpaw, still looking out at the sheets of rain coming down.
Lilyheart had been watching Shadowpaw sitting out in the rain for quite a while now. She was rather nervous about going out in a storm like that but, decided she had to do it. Slogging her way out of the crowded medicine cat den she ignored the calls to come back by Wildberry. “Dear Starclan!” She yelped as a rumble of thunder made her jump right out of her pelt. Sighing she shook her head and carefully made her way over, having to be extra careful because of her lack of balance even without the mud.
“Shadowpaw.” She mewed as loudly as she could to get his attention shuffling her way to him. She couldn’t let him stay out in this.

Lavenderfur gave a slight hiss of satisfaction as his claws connected with the Shadowclan cat's muzzle, this conflict going their way for certain. The two of them could berate the cat with small wounds and annoyances until he couldn't fight any longer, given that he seemed to be beginning to panic.
He readied himself to back up a step as the Shadowclan warrior reared up to retaliate, but Hazelrunner had excellent reflexes and, having struck at the warrior's underbelly, made it far easier to avoid the potentially quite harmful blow; as a response, Lavenderfur finally rushed forward, aiming to tackle straight into the reared-up cat. He would try to pin the warrior and either bite his neck, or, if he couldn't, leave it for Hazelrunner.
Ravenfang didn't seem to even register he had tackled the Riverclan cat specifically as his unsheathed claws mercilessly scraped right down the warrior's face, an unhonorable blow across the eyes that came from his desperation to finish these two cats before Redsky could bleed out, which was clearly what was going to happen before long.
He whipped around, beginning to lash out mid-spin without even aiming or getting a sense of how close his foe was. He felt clawing at his shoulder which opened it to the elements, with a sharp pain; yet he tried connecting a rake of his claws anywhere he could, then hardening his shoulders, tried headbutting into the warrior's stomach. He didn't know if he had blinded the Riverclan cat or not, and he feared that he might get caught in the same two on one situation as Redsky; he wanted to call for help, but he was pushing himself so quickly and harshly that he did not have the oxygen to do so. Without further regard for this, he pushed himself towards the Shadowclan warrior for the headbutt.
Even if Riverclan had fallen so far as to obey Nightstar, Redsky was one of the few cats he believed could bring them back--either back to their senses, or back to bravery. Hang on, Redsky! I'll be there soon.
The professional brooder couldn't hear the cat slogging towards him in all of this noise, but he could hear the loud mewl to get his attention once the cat had drawn closer. His face was drenched with rain and his eyes were squinted tight from the impact of the rain falling in his face. It was easy to see that his expression was one of misery, brought by his fears from the sudden scare of Dogclaw. If he could have doubted before that Riverclan could be taken without too much resistance, they had been tread all over by that.
He didn't say anything after he turned to connect eyes with Lilyheart. Despite this, his eyes alone communicated enough about his emotions and state of mind...and the state of his heart.

As her claws raked his underbelly, the tom let out a cry of surprise and shock. Instead of pouncing forwards like he had been trying to do the tom rocked on his hind paws almost falling back. Lavenderfur easily knocked him down. Once down the tom seemed to realize he was about to lose this fight so, he began to swipe and flail his large paws around. His desperate swipes became even more wild and clumsy with the blood now start to drain right into his eyes.
The Windclan she-cat jumped back as the tom collapsed heavily on to the ground. She tried to get in close as soon as he was pinned down but, his paws waving wildly around kept her from getting any closer to get much closer to him.
The Riverclan cat moved his head to the side just enough to avoid the deputy’s claws from taking out his eye completely but, his claws still raked painfully down the cat’s cheek. The wound was enough to live him squirming and writihing on the ground for a moment. His eyes were clamped shut trying to keep the blood from stinging right into his eyes. The Shadowclan cat had taken advantage of Ravenfang’s focus on the Riverclan cat digging claws into his shoulder, partially to open an already present wound and to drag Ravenfang off of the Riverclan cat. The sudden flash of claws dug into the cat’s side. The Shadowclan cat’s grip on Ravenfang was loosened. The headbutt that immediately following sent the cat staggering back, winded from the hard impact. Riverclan cat furiously wiped the blood away from him eyes. Once he had the cat got to his paws.
Redsky could feel her blood was draining from the wound. She watched the stream of red draining away from her. Swallowing desperately, her chest was rising up and down to gasps for air. It was getting harder and harder to form any coherent thoughts. Applepaw... Was the last clear thought she had before her mind became shrouded in a thick fog.
She hated storms since llosing her eye, the howling winds and driving rains left her with almost no senses left to rely on. The medicine cat was at least a little relieved when Shadowpaw turned around to meet her eyes but, her heart was twisted in her chest seeing what was visible in his face and eyes. The medicine cat flattened her ears against her head for a second. Her words of comfort would be drown out by the storm. Her soggy tail wrapped around his shoulders looking back at him silently. Her own eye was squinted against the heavy rainfall but, there was still something there. Lilyheart was rattled by the news a Windclan cat had been taken but, there was the slightest visible hope in her eyes. It was something she hadn’t really thought possible. The three clans were banding together to combat Nightstar. It was a small hope to hold on to at least, which she hadn’t felt in moons now. Taking in a deep breath, picking up her shoulders a little.

Lavenderfur, after tackling the cat and quickly scrambling back to his feet to pin the warrior with haste, began preparing to defend himself from the cat; yet, he could quickly tell that these blows were panicked and incapable of doing serious damage to him.
He sucked in a quick breath, tightened his stomach, then craned his neck and struck downwards at the warrior's neck with his teeth.
Ravenfang wasted no time with the Shadowclan monster before him, shoving his claws down deep into the throat before shearing them to the side and entirely opening the warrior's neck, feeling a rush of retribution that was immensely satisfying, though he had little time to savor the feeling before he had to pull his claws out, turning around to see if he had managed to disable the other warrior.
There were no words between the two of them, but Shadowpaw felt what she wanted to say as she pulled close to him, wrapping her equally soaked tail around him. He didn't want to hear any assurances right now, because he didn't feel any hope that they could be true--yet, the storming rain around them prevented Lilyheart from saying much more than his name, and her decision to instead join beside him in the drenching weather said something that perhaps words could not.
As she gazed back at him, he was left wondering whether she felt he was worth trying to console in this situation. Did she even think he needed consoling? Maybe she believed he was too easily scared. Or maybe she thought he was letting himself be miserable, and it was his own fault. He didn't know what was going through her mind, but he vividly recalled the words of his other Shadowclan clanmates whenever he was upset or soaked in misery.
As she squinted to try to protect her one eye, he felt guilt starting to plague his heart, as she had chosen to suffer through this with him. He almost wanted to push her away from him, to tell her not to stay out here with him, but he didn't have the boldness to pull away like that. Gulping, he awkwardly sat in his mixed state of misery, now with an added serving of guilt.
Yet, in the back of his mind there was one thing he couldn't forget. She had been in Shadowclan too. She knew that camp, and she knew those cats. And maybe she cared more about there being a connection between them than being dry. Maybe he was overthinking all of this.

His wild and clumsy swings were the only solution he could really do. The Shadowclan cat’s heavy swats had been rather uncoordinated before. Now the things were desperate he was just basically swinging at the air. Lavenderfur’s teeth sunk into the cat’s neck. After a moment the cat fell still laying on the floor of the den lifeless.
Hazelrunner let her shoulders relax the tiniest bit looking down at the now dead cat. She paused to check on Dogclaw was thankfully still breathing. The distraught Riverclan she-cat who was still in the den was quietly watching from the far corner, her eyes wide. Hazelrunner shifted uncomfortably when she locked eyes with she-cat before moving back to guard the outside of the den. Although she seriously doubted any other cats were going to try getting in the den.
The enemy warrior got to his feet one eye closed from the large scratch Ravenfang had left him with. The Riverclan cat dood stunned however watching Ravenfang drive his claw clear through the other side of the cat. Any nerve the Riverclan cat had to continue fighting was diminished seeing this. Unlike the Shadowclan cats that couldn’t swim against the strong currents the tom could do it and most likely survive. The warrior couldn’t be sure if he could survive a solo fight with the deputy of Windclan. With that sobering thought the warrior slowly started to move away getting ready to turn tail and run.
The medicine cat had no way of knowing that her being there had added another level of misery to Shadowpaw’s pile of complicated emotions. It was her own decision to come out and sit with him. Even as the rain soaked through her fur leaving her shivering a little agains the cold wind she didn’t budge from her spot beside him. She probably wouldn’t have left even if he had tried to push her away.
She couldn’t leave him alone. Lilyheart felt like she at least owed him that much. They were still clanmates even if they weren’t in Shadowclan anymore. And yes even if she could swear sometimes when she looked at Shadowpaw that he looked just like Nightstar. She shivered to herself although it was unclear if it was because of the cold or the memories of Nightstar. But, he wasn’t Nightstar and he wasn’t exactly the same cat he had been once. He was a young cat that seemed to need someone there for him right now.
Wincing a little, the rain strung her face making it impossible to keep looking at Shadowpaw any longer. Ducking her head to shield it she wiped a side some of the rain rolling down her face.

Lavenderfur panted heavily as he got up, only doing so when the warrior had went still, even then giving it a few more seconds for good comfort, not putting it past an enemy warrior to fake death at this point. Once he rose, turning to Hazelrunner and Dogclaw, he quietly murmured "good teamwork" to his fighting companion before glancing at Dogclaw, seeing if the warrior was still breathing. If one didn't see his breathing, it could seem...the way he looked, that...
Ravenfang saw the stunned fear in the Riverclan warrior's eyes as he finished the life of the Shadowclan cat. Ravenfang was bleeding from multiple wounds, his right shoulder sagging a little where an old wound was struck, paining him greatly. A moment or two of intense eye contact was held between them.
Then, thinking of the dying Redsky beside him, any aspect of mercy left his mind and he rushed forward, aiming to tackle the Riverclan cat straight to the ground with the intention of finishing the job he had started.
Shadowpaw felt the kind medicine cat shivering from what he believed to be the pouring, freezing rain, and he bit his lip, lowering his head dejectedly for a few, long and cold moments, before he sighed quietly. He couldn't make her stay here with him in the pouring rain.
He stood up, leaving the grasp of her tail and leaning down to pull at her shoulder to come with him. He would guide her back to the den in this terrible weather.

The howling wind made it hard to hear the tom’s words but, she did manage to hear them and gave a light nod in response. With that she disappeared back outside to keep watch. There was a somber feeling floating around the den. The tom was still laying on his side motionless in moss covered in his own blood. Dogclaw hadn’t stirred even with the loud commotion that the fight had made. It was hard to tell at a glance if the tom was still breathing. Upon closer inspection it was clear that he was breathing, although it was shallow. He was in terrible condition and it was unlikely he would make it through the night if he didn’t get help.
The Riverclan tom had taken off sprinting across the camp to try to escape. The mud and blood made him practially blind at this point, he was just running blind to get away. He didn’t make it far enough though. He wouldn’t have thought that the Windclan cat was follow after him. He just wanted out of the camp now and to get as far away from all of this as possible. Out of no where Ravenfang tackled him, sending him crashing into the mud. Howling in pain as he landed awkwardly on his shoulder. The tom crashed to the ground and slid a few pawsteps.
Looking around bewildered his eyes were large and round clearly terrified of the Windclan deputy. The Windclan cats weren’t supposed to be this bloodthirsty and ruthless. How could he break the warrior code like this? It was as if he had lost his mind. He made an attempt to get back up but, his shoulder buckled and he fell back down into the mud.
Lilyheart’s eyelid flutter rapidly. She could feel Shadowpaw move away from her tail. She opened her eyes enough to get an idea of where he had moved to. She could only really make out the blurriest of shapes of the black tom. So, she wasn’t against getting help gettin back to the den. If he was going to continue to sulk around she at least hoped he’d find a dry place to do it. Standing up she blinked again before moving to follow him out of the storm.

There was a quiet sigh of relief from Lavenderfur as he saw the shallow breathing. This was going to be over soon, and then they could get Dogclaw help. Turning around to look for more cats to subdue, he felt a wave of relief going through him.
That is, until he saw the pool of blood surrounding Redsky, who was lying unmoving on the ground of the camp. He choked on a breath as he caught sight of this, his eyes going wide and his breathing stopping. "No!" An intense lightning bolt of guilt surged through his body as he realized that he had made the choice not to help this cat, and now, she was dead.
He rushed over to the body of the cat, his disbelief and his shock making him forget about the battle around him. He stared down at the still figure, seeing that she was unmoving...yet, still he rushed forwards to the medicine cat's den, bursting in without regard for who was there and going straight for the storage of herbs. Ravenfang's eyes were wide and almost rabid as he finally had a chance to repay Shadowclan a bit for all they had done to the forest, to the clans, to Windclan, to Shadowpaw, but...but most of all, to Dawnstar. The only she-cat he had ever been utterly enamored with. Who had been utterly enamored with him.
"This is for betraying your clan. For submitting to Shadowclan. For the lives you've participated in ending!" Ravenfang lashed downwards with his teeth, not even leaving time for the warrior to say anything, to plead or to point out that the Riverclan warriors' only choices, in honesty, had been submit or die. It didn't seem like, in this moment, Ravenfang wanted to hear it. Lightening crashed overhead. The rain intensified. He guided her slowly towards the medicine cat's den, only beginning to realize how absolutely freezing he was as his joints groaned with pain and his skin failed completely to warm him as he moved his muscles. With a quiet hiss of pain that he hoped Lilyheart wouldn't take badly, he continued along. Even with both of his eyes and all of his senses, the storming rain and the blasting wind was hard to navigate through.
Once they had neared the mouth of the den, he urged her ahead, not indicating specifically whether he intended to follow her in, though he was going to. He didn't particularly want to soak up the medicine cat's den, though. It was important their (near nonexistent) supply of herbs remain dry, and the den wasn't that large.
Ebonykit was shaking despite the warmth of his mother and sibling. The crashing lightening storm filled him with dread and to the little kitten, it seemed to spell bad things for his father. Now that he had heard some truth of what was going on, his mind was racing and any playfulness from not too long ago had vanished. Still whimpering, he pulled closer to his brother.

The longer Wrenflight watched the battle unfold the more she realized she had lost her nerve to right. She had completely lost her nerve to be here, watching her clan being torn apart again. She had stayed in the entrance of the leader’s den until she couldn’t stand to be ideal any longer. Her first thought was to go try to put what little herb knowledge her sister had passed on to her. Of course that would mean going into the medicine cat den. Taking in a deep breath she-cat charged out into the pounding rain to make a dash for the den.
Luckily, she didn’t meet any obstacles on her way there. She couldn’t see more than a few feet in front of her. She had no idea how the battle was going. She hesitated as before taking her first step into the den. Looking around she could practially her sister’s voice in her ear standing in the entrance. All at once the den felt alone and empty again. Turning sharply she saw the tom come barreling into the den. Wrenflight blinked barely able to jump as the large tom came charging right for the herb stores. “Dear Starclan!” She danced out of the way pressing herself against the wall. “What happened?” She called a note of panic in her voice. The herb store was pitiful but, maybe she could do something to help, hopefully.
There was a long trail of blood draining away from the wound on her neck. Her jaws were parted as if mid gasp for air. She was staring listlessly up at the sky completely unmoving now.
The warrior was gazing up with a mixture of fear and confusion. He had sided with Shadowclan when he had no other choice as he was going to die if he hadn’t. Now he was going to die because of his choices. He put his paw up to Ravenfang’s chest to try to keep his jaws from closing around his neck. It was a futile attempt. The warrior gave one last breath before flopping down into the mud, his eyes still staring up blankly at the deputy with the same expression.
The half-blinded medicine cat stumbled along through the mud, pressing close to the tom’s side. Without him it was unlikely she would have been able to make it back to the den. Lilyheart was soaked through her fur and was a soggy muddy mess tracking through the camp. The mud made her slip and slide around the entire way back. She sighed when she was able to make out the very blurry shape of the medicine cat den come into focus.
She was met by the very loud voice of Wildberry who was still worked up from her sudden disappearance. She had to squeeze into the den that was already crowded at this point, with two other full grown cats and Proudpaw stuffed in the back near the herbs. She turned to give Shadowpaw a long look, now that she didn’t have rain running into her sight. She wanted to make sure he was going to find shelter. She would have insisted he stay here but, there was hardly any room left to be found.
Cinderkit was hunkered down beside his mother and siblings, a huge ball of fluff. To his young mind it seemed like the whole of Starclan was going to battle like the clans were. Swallowing heavily he turned to look at his brother. “He’ll be back soon.” He whispered softly trying to comfort his brother. He craned his neck up to look at his mom, expecting her to add her own reassurances. Instead she was just staring out at the storm the end of her tail twitching anxiously at her side.

Lavenderfur gave no response to Wrenflight, dashing whatever cobwebs he could find into his paws. If that wasn't enough of a sign, the terror in his expression was clear; not the terror of seeing some type of monster, but the terror of witnessing a horror and being utterly powerless to do anything.
Whipping around and charging back out, he found Ravenfang staring down at the body of Redsky. He didn't say anything to acknowledge the deputy simply beginning to throw cobwebs on the warrior's neck as soon as he was at her side.
Ravenfang felt the paw attempting to stop his attack, but his strength thankfully prevailed, and his jaws closed around the Shadowclan puppet's neck. For helping this Shadowclan scum when the combined strength of the clans was going to be the clear victor.
The blank expression of the warrior remained all the same as the eyes faded into death. There was something of an indignant question in the look, or the plea that Ravenfang hadn't given him time to say.
He spun around, his heart lurching as he rushed forward towards Redsky. "No!" He yowled as he saw her still form, blood in copious amounts having left her body.
Staring down at her in disbelief, blood still dripping from his teeth, he shook hid head slowly. This was what Shadowclan did. This was what the Riverclan warrior had fought for.
This was just another one of his own failures.
Shadowpaw's quiet misery turned into a more blunt one as he saw how full the den was--taking in a breath and letting it go, he turned his gaze away from Lilyheart, beginning to step away without saying anything. He shouldn't have let humself think he deserved a space in the den, or anything like that.
He stopped as he thought of how she had left her unsoaked safety of the den, to come out and be with him, for what seemed to be no reason other than that she didn't want him there alone. Sighing, he turned back to her. He stepped closer, pressing his muzzle against her's for a few moments, closing his eyes as he did. Whether it be Shadow or Wind, she was his clanmate, one of the only who hadn't tortured him. He felt like he needed to acknowledge that to her more.
He stepped away again, glancing around the camp as his eyes fixed on the camp entrance. Surely rhe apprentice'sden now held plenty of cts; perhaps he could find comfortable shelter outside.
Ebonykit wjimpered again, not feeling better as Cinderkit spoke. he could of used the assurance of a parent, but their mother appeared to be just as procupied as they were.

Wrenflight watched him blow right past her with a look of seeing some sort of undescribable terror. Even though he hadn’t given her a straight answer about what was happening out there but, his mad grab for cobwebs told her all she needed. She quickly wound the remaining cobwebs around her tail and grabbed up the first herbs with the hopes that one of them could help with whatever was going on out there. Grabbing the herbs in her mouth she charged back out into the storm ragin outside of the den.
She spotted Lavenderfur darting in between the battling cats before disappearing further into the camp. Running out after him she darted through the camp trying to find the cat Lavenderfur was trying to desperately to help. Then she saw the limp form on the ground with the two Windclan cats crouching over the body. The lightening flashed overhead illuminated the camp and gave her a clear look at the cat laying in the mud. A wave of dread and panic crashed down on top of her as she recongized the cat and saw the cut across her neck that Lavenderfur was desperately trying to cover with cobwebs, that weren’t sticking well to her bloodstained and wet fur. Her whole body froze and her herbs went falling into the mud. There was so much blood around the downed she-cat, her own mixing with the blood from the cats Ravenfang had killed.
“Redsky!” She cried as she over to the she-cat’s side crouching down and pressed her nose to the she-cat’s cold fur. “Please.” She mewed softly, begging to Redsky. Her pleas fell on deaf ears. Redsky remained motionless in the mud.
The wad of spider webs did serve to stop the stream of blood from the wound. Her eyelid did open the slightest bit one of her paws twitching. It was a very weak response but, it was the slighest spark of life.
Lilyheart blinked as he gave her a quick sign of appreciation before turning to disappear back into the storm. Flattening her ears a little she sighed softly to herself before turning to look towards the other medicine cats in the den.
Applepaw was watching the dark forms traveling across the camp. He could make out Shadowpaw’s dark pelt from the storm. At least he thought that was Shadowpaw. He and the older apprentince had not never gotten to know each other well. They were at different stages of being apprentinces and he knew who Shadowpaw’s dad was. Even still, he abruptly got to his paws and popped his head out of the den, flattening his ears a little to block the howling wind. “Shadowpaw! Come on!” The small apprentince mewed out at the top of his lungs. He offered the older tom a smile, before quickly sucking his head back into the den. He was trying to be helpful wasn’t he? Shadowpaw could wait out the storm with the rest of them and help keep a look out for the cats arriving back to camp.

Lavenderfur kept picking them up from the ground trying to plaster the cobwebs on the wound again, though it was so coated with blood that they wouldn't stick, and he slowly, quietly began giving a small, quiet whimper, staring down at the unmoving body as the guilt surged through his system for the choice he had made. He tried picking the cobwebs up once more, trying to get it to stick even though it was already falling apart.
"Lavenderfur," it was a dull call from beside him, the Windclan deputy staring down at the body beside him as well. He felt his heart shattering a little as Wrenflight cried out from near them, coming to plead to the dead warrior. Ravenfang closed his eyes, losing track of the battle around them; it would be over soon, but that wasn't even in his mind. If he had just been faster...
Lavenderfur gasped as one of Redsky's eyelids opened slightly. "Get more!" He snapped, picking up the last of the cobwebs that he had even in its poor condition. He pressed the remainder into the wound as much as he could, trying to give it an extra layer.
Ravenfang's eyes opened again, and as he saw the slightest spark of life, his mouth opened and he breathed out a sigh of relief, though he didn't let it linger too long for fear of ruining the chance that she would survive this. His claws unsheathed and he pelted for out of the camp, ready to search for cobwebs even mid-battle. Even if he had known there was more in the medicine cat's den, they were going to need cobwebs to switch out. Passing the Riverclan cat still staring up blankly at the torrentially raining night sky, he hurried through the watery entrance.
Shadowpaw could just barely hear the distant call of his name, and giving a light sigh, not particularly wanting to return to the den, though he was shaking from the cold and he knew it would not be good for his health if he stayed out here much longer. Still, he didn't like the sound of a cramped up den in his current, miserable state.
Nonetheless he turned around and headed towards the open den, dripping rain from all over his body as he stepped into the den.
Leafpaw turned to stare at Shadowpaw and blinked at him a couple times. Then, her nostrils flared up and her eyebrows narrowed. "What in Starclan's name have you been doing out there?!? You're going to freeze to death!"

Wrenflight’s nose was buried in the she-cat’s fur still trying to cope with the idea that Redsky might be gone. She didn’t see Redsky’s eyelids fluttering open, the only thing that made her look up was the loud call for more cobwebs. Slowly looking up she was confused seeing Ravenfang turning away and running towards the entrance to camp. “Here.” She said quickly offering him the cobwebs she wrapped around her tail. She was still hesitant unsure of it would do anything to help Redsky now. Staring down at Redsky she held her breath, wanting desperately to see some sign of life.
Her eyelid very slowly opened. The noises around her were fuzzy and hazy. She couldn’t make out the voices or who they belonged to. Her eyes were unfocused slowly sliding towards the blurry shapes around her. Laying out in the rain she had lost any feeling in the rest of her body. The only thing that really registered was the intense pain in her neck.It was the only tangible thing she could cling on to.
It was Wrenflight’s turn to gasp in surprise as her eyes slowly opened, she saw her eyes move around seemingly looking at both of them. “She’s alive!” She breathed softly before quickly turning to run back to the medicine cat den to get the last few cobwebs in the herb stores. In her hurry to ran right past Otterfur who watched her go by in a blur. Darting into the medicine cat den she looked at the herb stores, panicking a little as she tried to wrack her brain to remember the various herbs her sister had tried to tell her about a million times. She danced anxiously around, unfortunately only drawing up blanks. Shaking her head she couldn’t waste anymore time standing around so, she used her paw and tail to grab all the cobwebs she could find. She was in such a hurry to get out she knocked several herbs to the ground as she took off running back out.
Otterfur was fighting side by side with his clanmates again and they were clearly going to pull through. The Shadowclan cats were practially dropping like flies around them. Looking over the battle he felt a sense of pride and accomplishment swell over him. Despite the ominous storm it seemed like they would be able to pull through in the end. He would have his clan back. There was a slight disruption in one side of camp drew his attention. It was like everything had stood still, none of the cats were deathly still suddenly. Through the driving rains he was able to make out the form of a cat taking off from the sudden gathering of cats. Frowning he lashed his tail and narrowed his eyes to try and get a better look at what just what was going on. Out of the rain the Riverclan she-cat came barreling right at him. Moving aside he saw Wrenflight scramble past him in a flash.
The Riverclan deputy made his way across the camp to find out just what had happened to cause the fighting to halt on that side of camp. He winced having to squint against the rain. He slowed when he came across the body of a young Riverclan cat staring up at the rain blankly and the body of the savagely killed Shadowclan warrior. He froze when he saw Redsky laying in the mud with Lavenderfur hovering over her.
Applepaw sighed a little when the older apprentince seemed to finally decide to come into the den. The tom moved aside to make room for Shadowpaw in the den. As soon as he got in Leafpaw started in on him for being out in the rain like he was. He was clearly miserable right now. “He’s just worried like we all are.” The smaller apprentince tried to interject himself in between Leafpaw and Shadowpaw.
