Fawn sat in front of home base, her gaze and ears angled in the direction of the prison place. She was looking out for invaders, but she couldn’t help thinking about her brother. She hadn’t seen him since she left. Fawn kept on hoping that he would come, but she knew that even if he did escape, he probably wouldn’t be able to find her. She turned her head when Var walked into home base.
Skylar’s ears twitched as she followed the other hybrids to Hunting Valley. “Seems like there isn’t much prey today” she said to them as a gentle breeze hit her pelt. There weren’t many scents, just a few stale abbot scents along the burrows. Her golden eyes narrowed as a rabbit emerged from the burrow. Skylar lunged at it, successfully landing a scratch at the rabbit’s side. She grabbed the rabbit in her jaws and clamped down until the prey went limp.

Fawn looked up and saw Emmi, Claw, and Skylar going out to hunt. She would’ve gone with them, but she had to gaurd. Also, she was a bad hunter. Instead, Fawn waved her tail at the as she left. “Good luck hunting!” She called out.

Emmi "Okay!" The hybrid squeaked excitedly, her tail flicking side to side. She jumped out of the caves, Emmi tried to catch the wind on her wings but failed and fell to the ground with a quack. "I'm okay!"
The hawk-dog pointed her nose to the ground as she searched for any other scent. Finding no other scent, she picked up her rabbit again as she glanced around Hunting Valley. The sky was a clear blue, the clouds fluffy white. Skylar wanted to spread her wings and soar as high as she could, but she bit back the urge as she started back over to Home Site. The other hunters were catching prey as well. ‘So there was some prey after all..’ she thought to herself.

Fawn sighed. “I might as well go get some food.” She told herself, tail twitching. She ducked into home base and came out with a plump bird. She settled down by the entrance to eat, her ears pricked for any noises.
As Skylar finally trotted back over to Home Site, she dropped her plump rabbit in the prey pile and walked to the entrance. She unfolded her regal wings and decided it was time for some flying practice. With a flap of her wings, she dove up into the sky, soaring around freely. Everything on the ground seemed so small, and the sky felt so vast and amazing. She could fly forever.
Skylar’s hackles slightly bristled at Fawn’s taunt. “I know how to fly very well, mind you.” She muttered as she flew a bit lower so she could be heard. The sky was like another home, after all. She flew for a few more seconds before landing on the green grass. Her attention turned to an eagle that had just appeared in the sky. It flew so gracefully, Skylar was actually impressed. She decided to walk over to the interior of Home Site and think a bit.
Skylar settled into her den, trying not to let Fawn’s mocking get to her. As she sat on the leaf bedding, she started to doze off. First hunting, then changers, then... her mother. Andromeda was still out there, somewhere, and Skylar quickly tried to take he mother off her mind before she could get too sad. Instead, she looked around, thinking about other things silently. Suddenly, something else came to mind. ‘What if there are other dog hybrids like me?’ She asked herself. She was the only canine in the whole clan besides Var, and when your a dog surrounded by mostly felines, it can get kind of unsettling.
