MistClan
A Warriors Roleplay
It is a dark, humid night. Scattered cats slowly gather in a clearing. A fluffy white tom with black stripes and a fresh scratch on his shoulder jumps onto a rock, facing the cats solemnly. He takes a second to gaze out at the tall trees and thick foliage surrounding the cats, thinking about what to say. "Cats of MistClan," he said, his voice booming across the clearing. "As you all know, we were raided by rouges tonight. Luckily, no cat has any severe injuries, and some of us are unharmed. It seems the enemy cats simply took or destroyed as much of our supplies as they could and took off." The tom paused as a warm breeze blew through the trees, reminding the cats that newleaf was coming to an end. Soon, it would be greenleaf, which would bring extreme heat and humidity. "We will start rebuilding camp and restocking our supplies first thing tomorrow morning. The upcoming greenleaf will no doubt bring miserable conditions, but we can't let that stop us. I will do my best to lead MistClan through these dark times." Cats in the audience nodded as their leader spoke, knowing they would need to be strong. "I will keep watch tonight," the tom continues. "Everyone else, please rest so you are ready to work hard tomorrow. Let StarClan light our paths," he concludes before leaping off the rock and heading to the camp entrance to stand guard. The other cats slowly walk to their tattered dens and eventually fall asleep.
The night passes with no signs of trouble. As the sun rises, the cats of MistClan wake up and start rebuilding and restocking their camp.
TERRITORY:
The cats live in a rain forest surrounded by mountains. There are waterfalls running throughout the territory, which are full of tropical fish almost all year. Many different types of herbs grow all over the territory, many of which stay in bloom year-round. However, despite plentiful prey and herbs, life is not always the best here. Greenleaf is unbearably hot and humid, while Leafbare is super rainy while still being warm and humid. Additionally, there are many different predators that could be lurking about. Plus, the prey they do manage to catch tends to be small prey, such as lizards, frogs, and small fish. However, MistClan continues to survive in this harsh climate. Here's a map.
Camp:
A grassy clearing in the jungle that is scattered with ferns. There is a medium sized rock to one side of the camp, where the leader makes announcements.
Misty Mountain Lookout ("The Lookout"):
A rocky hill with a couple bushes and small trees near the edge of the territory. From here, you can see the Misty Mountains, which have a waterfall running through it. MistClan was named after these mountains. (If there are actual Misty Mountains, note that this is not the same place.)
Mossy Falls:
Where the waterfall that runs through the mountains leads to. MistClan's border runs along the opposite shore. The river runs down to the Shallows.
Sunshine Lagoon:
A large pool of water near the center of the territory. A great place to fish or cool off on a hot day.
The Shallows:
A rocky area with small, shallow waterfalls running through it.
The Pond:
A pond near a giant tree and a clearing. This is a common place for training, due to the wide, open area. Plus, mentors can teach their apprentices to fish with the pond. The pond is located on the side of the territory furthest from the mountains.
The Mooncave:
Near the top of the Misty Mountains, there is a cave. Inside the cave, there is a large pool of water, and a large gap in an area of the roof. This is where the cats of MistClan contact StarClan. They do so by drinking or touching their noses to the water. The medicine cat (and their apprentice, if they have one) go here every half moon to see if StarClan has any signs or prophecies to show them. Deputies come here to get their 9 lives when they are appointed leader. Every apprentice must travel here at least once before they become a warrior. In times of distress, leaders or medicine cats may make a special trip here to ask StarClan for guidance.
OTHER ANIMALS:
Prey:
Fish (angelfish, neon tetras, catfish, piranha), birds (macaws, toucans (both rare), owls, harpy eagles), frogs, lizards, agouti (type of rodent), mice
Predators:
Jaguars, ocelots, tigers, leopards, alligators, constrictors (all rare), poisonous frogs (give rashes if touched, sickness if eaten), harpy eagles (not much of a problem for warriors, but can take kits/small apprentices)
CURRENT CONDITIONS:
Season:
Early Greenleaf
Weather:
Very warm and windy.
Time:
Late morning
Current events:
Clan life goes on as usual.
RULES:
1. Follow all of Falcon's rules!
2. Your cat must have a fairly balanced set of strengths and weaknesses. Also, no powers.
3. Before you injure, become mates with, or have kittens with another cat, you must ask the owner of that cat. Also, before making any major plot changes, you must ask me.
4. If your cat has kittens, no more than 4 kittens per litter.
5. If you read these rules and wish to join, the password for the sign-up form is the last character in your screen name. (For me, it'd be d.)
6. You may have as many cats as you want, as long as you keep up with them.
7. Please try to make posts at least 2-3 sentences long.
8. Crushes/Mates are allowed! If your cat has a crush, put it in the other category on the sign-up form. If your cat has a mate, put it under family.
Another thing is names. I don't really care what your cat is named, but your cat can't be named Mist- (unless they aren't in MistClan) and their name can't conflict with other names. So, that means no having 2 Toadpaws at the same time. It'd be okay to have a Toadkit and a Toadpaw at the same time, as long as Toadpaw gets their warrior name before Toadkit is apprenticed.
Also, please note that I can and will remove important positions (such as deputy or medicine cat) from your cat if you can't reply enough to do your tasks at least every now and then. I will accept you doing this only if you say you will be inactive in the future in the PM and give a good reason why. If you do plan to be unavailable for a while, I would suggest entrusting your cat to someone else to play as while you're gone.
