The last thing for my forest guardian quest I need is a cardinal. I found two blue jays, one caught and one flew away (._.) but not a single cardinal. I am wondering how long it took for you to get one and how many you have seen because I know they are ultra rare.

I only recently caught my first cardinal (after having the game since beta release :'3), I found it at the Orchard.
I've seen cardinals before but always scared them away on accident or didn't notice there was a cardinal until it flew away.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure I caught it back when the beta was the newest version. I played it a ton, though. I already had 100 hours of gameplay when it was released.

Cool ^^ thank you both for your responses! I hope I didn't let any fly away. I saw a red arrow once on my prey scent thing but I don't think it was a cardinal, I think it was salmon. Not long back I also had a turtle run away because it was at the edge of the page lol. Oml just looked I only have 33 hours. Shame on me. I expected more xD
EDIT: I kid you not I just walked into the orchard and caught a cardinal. I am done with the items just have to get the last two gems. I said 'oh my god' about 50 times now.
