Moon Heart Prologue
The wind howled through the dim alley. The only light for miles were dull lampposts. Each wall closed in on each-other, their silver color reflecting the moons light. More alley paths lined every turn, lampposts acting as their mark. Swallow raced through the silver city, her breath catching in her throat. The moon glowed brightly on her silver fur, causing it to glow. Paw-steps could be heard behind her. They followed her every move. Each alley that Swallow passed only made her more and more anxious. Soon, a cold sweat began to drip off her forehead. Her legs began to weaken. She couldn't keep the pace for much longer. Swallow made a quick decision and rushed behind a lampposts light and turned into the nearby ally. Her breath rattled in her throat as the cats darted past the corner that she hid in. Taking multiple deep breaths, she whispered, "They can never know..."

Moon Heart Chapter 1 Swallow walked into her camp. The walls that some cats felt threatening were gray and unstable. The floor was white with a light blue, shredded skin laying across the floor. A golden tom cat was resting on the skin, aggressively grooming his tail. Next to him sat a blue-ish grey tabby, reciting her story of how she got her name, right near the end, saying, "My parents would soon find out that naming me Flower was a huge miscalculation on their part!" She snorted. The golden tom picked his fluffy head up from his grooming and stared dead into Flower's emerald eyes, "We all know this story, Flower. Don't you actually have something interesting to tell us? Like maybe, your time with them?" He asked in his gruff voice. Swallow twitched when she heard the tom say that, "If you want to talk about them, then let me tell you, Claw," She put her face right up into Claw's, emphasizing his name in her annoyance, "just let me tell you about how they chased me through our alley home." She hissed. Claw looked down at his paws and Flower's face grew stern, "Why were they chasing you through our home? You didn't steal their food, did you?" She asked inquisitively, her eyes narrowed. Swallow's shoulder fur slightly fluffed. She closed her eyes and concentrated hard on lying it flat on to her shoulders. Once she did so, she spoke with a slightly quivering voice, "No, I didn't. I don't know why they were chasing me." Claw looked back up from his paws, "That's why we need Flower to tell us everything she knows about them." Flower shot him a glare, then turned her green gaze back to Swallow, "Fine. I don't know much, but the main thing I know is that they are gathered in groups that they call... Colonies." Moon Heart Chapter 2 Swallow rested her silver and gray-striped head on her paws. Her claws, slightly glowing from tiny holes in the side of the wall, slid in and out as Flower told them about her time with the Colonies. Claw was staring at Flower, his golden tail flicking like a blade of grass in the wind. "Each day, 2 major fights would break out at their boundaries." Flower meowed, her voice soft, as if they were listening, "Each cat wanted to claim the most territory, while some cats wanted their Colony to become the only Colony. To drag the others into their camps." "My parents believed that the most out of all the Colony Cats. They thought that the Mystic Colony, one of the three Colonies, also the one that I called home, was superior to the other two Colonies, the Mountain Domain and the Forest Colony." Swallow's ear pricked up at the mention of the Mountain Domain, while Claw's tail stopped flicking when he heard of the Forest Colony. His tail resumed flicking as Swallow spoke, her eyes questioning, "Why is it the Mountain Domain? Shouldn't it be the Mountain Colony?" Flower shrugged, completely unconcerned by the strange naming, "I don't know why they called it a Domain instead of a Colony." She paused, thinking, "Whenever I say Colonies, know that I am talking about all 3 of them." "Anyways. Each day they fought the battles. They won every time, fighting side by side with courage." "I wasn't actually their child." Claw's ears went erect when he heard this, "They found me among flowers. They decided to raise me as a 'third addition' to their 'team'. They tried to bend me, make me feel like we were the superior Colony. Eventually, as I grew older, I decided that my parents could not continue their fighting." "I tried to reason with them, tried to make them see that what they were doing is wrong, but they wouldn't listen. I finally made up my mind." "I had to protect the Colonies from my parents." "I led them to a boundary battle between the Mountain Domain and the Forest Colony. I told them that it was a battle between all the Colonies to decide which Colony would survive. They both raced into the fight, which led to them dying." "I remember murmuring quietly, 'You made a miscalculation on my name, Mother. Father. I'm no delicate, easily deceived rose. I am a snake lily, ready to fight with those who I choose.'" "Soon after, I was banished from the Colonies for my crimes."

Moon Heart Chapter 3 "Well, who would want to stay with those pieces of mouse-dung anyways?" Claw joked hesitantly, trying to uplift the mood. "You've got us!" Flower snorted and rolled her eyes, but she was smiling. "So I'm stuck with some mouse-dungs or some mouse-brains?" She teased, her emerald eyes glittering with laughter. Claw hissed good-naturedly, "Who you calling a mouse-brain, mouse-brain?" Flower was about to get into a pouncing position when Swallow growled impatiently, "How is that story supposed to help us understand more about them?!" Her claws were cutting into the blue skin. Both Claw and Flower adjusted themselves so they could look at Swallow. Her blue eyes were glaring at the carpet. "Swallow, you've been really impatient recently," Flower mewed gently. "More than usual." Claw added, completely ignorant to the rudeness of that statement. Swallow lifted her eyes up from the carpet and glared at Claw. Flower slapped her tail onto her face. Claw cocked his head, "What?" "Well, I'm sorry I want to know more about our enemies," Swallow hissed sarcastically. The blue skin was shredded into tiny pieces. "Why do you want to know more about our enemies?" Flower asked inquisitively. Claw was staring at Swallow curiously. Swallow's tail puffed, "So we can have a better clue on why the fox they keep chasing us!" Although her voice sounded enraged, she stopped shredding the skin. Claw's ears twitched and his brown eyes lit up, "I may have an idea."
