Domino could hardly stand still being trapped in the cage. "Help me!" he called out, hoping someone would answer his pleads. He wasn't really up for swimming to shore, but he would much rather do that than be stuck in the cage forever. He was tired of bobbing up and down. This constant motion was making him feel a little dizzy.

Orion began clawing at the cage as the she-cat replied. Surely there had to be a way to get her out. He stopped briefly to scan the rest of the cages. Several were empty, but he noticed one that contained a black and white cat not far off. He offered a nod to the cat, hoping that he realized that he would be helped next. As he returned his gaze to the gray cat, he began to think of ways to get her out. Clawing at the thing had not worked so well for him either. "Would you be able to back up and ram into the door?" He knew that this would not be a fun or painless thing for her to do. However, what other option did they have?

Shatter|1.5 years|She-Cat The blood from her injury was now running down into Shatter's eyes. Shatter barely ever-okay never interacted with others so she didn't really know what to reply. "Uh..." Oh moons, I'm gonna bleed out and I'm gonna die and it's going to be awful...

Domino saw Orion nod in his direction. He hoped that the nod meant he would be helped next. All he knew to do was to be patient. He would just have to wait his turn to be helped.

Breeze cringed at the thought. That sounds painful.. not like I have any choice, though. It's either drowning in the ocean or being freed with some injuries, she thought. "Alright, I'll try it. Stand back," she mewed to the tom. Breeze backed up and rammed into the cage. The cage door didn't break, but it was heavily damaged. Shaking the dizziness from her head, she prepared herself to try again. Breeze backed up and again rammed herself into the cage door. To her relief, she found the door had broken, and she was free.

Blade
Darkness. Blade was surrounded by darkness, even when he opened his eyes to the salty ocean. His long fur was matted and soaked, heavy on his tired body, as the water cleared and filled with small shafts of light. He was too big for the cage, and as he struggled, he found he barely had room to move at all. In front of him, the cage door was bent and weak, and with a few kicks of his strong back legs, it burst open with a creak. His paws flailed around, trying desperately to force him to the surface, and finally his head broke the water. The remnants of the cage were sinking to the depths of the ocean, never to be seen again, lost in the darkness -- and if Blade hadn't woken up when he did, he would be going with it. He shivered at the thought. Muscles and lungs burning, he forced his legs to drag him through the water. Just when it seemed he wouldn't last much longer, his paws hit the shore. A surge of energy allowed him to carry on for one last desperate attempt, and finally, he collapsed onto the dry sand.

Shatter|1.5 years|She-Cat|Dawnstar ShorteeShatter heard the gasping of another cat as they hit surface, she stumbled over to help. She felt light headed but she needed to make sure everyone was okay. "Are you alright?" she gasped. Before the cat could reply, Shatter fell to the ground, unconscious once more.

Blade
"Are you alright?" Someone mewed timidly, voice ragged and breathy from exhaustion. Looking up, Blade saw a small tortoiseshell she-cat with blood trailing down her face. Her eyes were glassy, he noted, when suddenly they rolled back into her head and she collapsed on the spot. Scrambling to his paws, Blade bent over the unconscious cat. "Help!" he meowed, his deep voice carrying over the beach. You have no idea how to heal another cat, a voice in his head reminded him. Ignoring it, he did what he always did -- took a deep breath and thought it through. Other cats were scattered among the sand and the waves, bloodied and exhausted. "Does anyone know how to heal? This cat is unconscious!" he yowled.

Domino heard a cry for help. He wanted to see what the matter was, but there wasn't anything he could do right now. He wouldn't be able to do anything until he was free from the cage. Once he was free,he would swim to shore to see what was up. Until then, though, he was helpless.

Orion swam back a little bit, watching the gray she-cat. After two attempts to open the door, it finally broke. He was glad that she was free. "Hey, you, try doing what she just did!" he called to the black and white cat sitting in a cage. His ears flicked as he heard a distant cry for help. It seemed everyone was needing something. Though it was understandable, he supposed. The tom swam closer to the she-cat that was now free. "Are you okay to swim to land?" he asked her. It wasn't until now that he realized how tired his own muscles were from not only swimming to land once, but coming back to help others. As far as he could tell, these were the only two still floating out at sea.

Breeze swam out of her destroyed cage. "Yeah, I think I'm good. I'll meet you there," she responded to the white and grey cat. "Oh, and before I go," she mewed, "What's your name? Mine's Breeze."

Domino knew what Orion was talking about when he told him to try doing what that she-cat did. He was a bit big for the cage to back up far, but he didn't know what else to try. He backed up as far as he could, until his back touched the back wall. With as much force as he could manage, he rammed into the door. To his surprise, he'd rammed into it hard enough or it to crack open. Part of it at the bottom had broken off, and it was still wedged into the hole that was keeping it in place. That was it, though. He was able to nudge the rest of it opened enough to where he could escape.
Bracing himself for the swim, Domino took a deep breath. He got into the ocean and swam toward the shore. It took a while, or it seemed that way, but eventually he reached the beach. As soon as he did so, he laid in the sand to catch his breath. He was wet and breathless now from the swim, but at least he was free from that cage, and at least he wasn't in the ocean anymore.

Sorrel | 3 Years | Female | Sorrel stayed where she was when Paxton ran off. Her limbs exhausted and aching, she knew she couldn't move. That's when she noticed a black and white cat laying on the sand. He must have swam from his cage not long ago. "Hello?" She called out to him. |
Paxton | 5 Years | Male | Paxton ran after Shatter, whose muscles screamed in protest. She needed help! Once he reached her, she was now on the ground with a very large, gray tom standing over her. "Hey!" he called out once he got there, "What happened?" |

Domino had been lying in the sand for a few minutes when an unfamiliar cat came and said hello to him. The black and white cat was very shy and skittish when meeting strangers. Because of that, Domino stood up and skittered off into a nearby shrub. The cat who greeted him seemed friendly, but sometimes cats aren't as nice as they seem. It's happened to him before. He wasn't trying to be rude, just cautious. After being in the shrub for a moment, he poked his head out just slightly. ( Shortee)

Sorrel | 3 Years | Female | Sorrel sighed, stood from her position of laying in the sand, and walked after the skittish tom. Her paws moved in a confident manner to the shrub, and she noticed his head poking out a little. She stopped a couple tail lengths away from it before saying, "I'm not going to hurt you! Come out here and introduce yourself please." She said this with a noticeably fake impatient tone. |
