Chapter 1
Kayleigh yawned and stretched, she noticed the spot next to her in the nest was empty. Her mate, Scout, must have already started the trek to the Sacred Temple. Kayleigh padded over to where her kits portion of the den was. Before she could even call out, 'good morning', her three full grown kittens jumped in her way. She noticed her kittens, Pumpkin, Rabbit and Sky, in the corner sat Moon. "I got you a snakelily!" Exclaimed Sky.
"I got you catnip!" Yowled Pumpkin.
"I got you a diamond!" Screeched Rabbit.
"Enough!" Kayleigh pushed her way through the three to Moon, who she took to help set up every Winter Festival. "Let's go, were gonna be late." Moon smiled, as if she expected her siblings bribes were actually going to work.
Once they were closer to the Temple, Kayleigh dared to ask, "What was that all about? Nobody is ever that enthusiastic about a Festival." She nodded to Sarge as the two padded up the stairs into the Temple.
Moon tilted her head in confusion, "You haven't heard about the new cat, Tamara? She was in Mystic colony, but she transferred to Forest because of-" Moon quickly stopped herself.
"Because of what?" Kayleigh asked with suspicion, her tail twitched as she noticed the guilt in her daughter's eyes. Moon was hiding something.
"I-um don't know. Anyways... things between her and Mystic Colony aren't too great..." Moon paused, scooting away from where the Mystic Colony cats were setting up, "Which means things between Forest and Mystic aren't too great..."

Chapter 2
Moon gave a sigh of relief when her mother stalked away to help her father with decorations. She couldn't believe she had almost spilled Pumpkin's secret! How would Kayleigh have reacted if she knew her son was with a Mystic Colony cat? Moon wasn't sure how much longer she and her other siblings could keep their brother's secret... She knew it would be a bad idea to go help one of the other colonies with setting up so she just started stringing lights with Coco.
Suddenly a yowl came from the other side of the Temple. Moon looked over and saw Sarge and Alisa circling each other menacingly, hissing, claws unsheathed. "We fed her, and accepted her into the Clan when Coco brought her to us! She should have just gone right to Forest instead of wasting our resources and time!"
"It isn't her fault that she didn't know where she belonged!" Sarge protested, glaring around at the Mystic cats. Savannah and Slip ducked their heads, they must have been Tamara's friends.
Alisa looked like she was getting ready to spring at Sarge, when suddenly a cat jumped between them. They were a young and beautiful she-cat with grey and white fur and turquoise eyes. Moon recognized her almost imminently as the mate of her brother, it was Tamara.
