I've been dealing with 3 sick cats in the last 24 hours. All 3 of mine keep throwing up. I don't know what it is, but it started with them all at the same time, it seems like. Can cats get the stomach bug? Or is it likely their food?
Two of them are strictly indoor cats, the other one only goes in the backyard occasionally.

Hmm. Maybe the outdoor cat brought in something and gave it to the others? I'm no doctor,, but you should see the vet after 24 hours :0
Get well soon kittens!

I'm going to try to give them new food and see if that makes a difference. I was up at 3am with one of them.
I'm going to list their names so I can be more specific about which one in talking about later. Copper, Ember, and Elvis. Elvis is the oldest and he goes outside. Copper and Ember are only around 5 or 6 years old, and they stay in.

My mom said Copper got sick this morning. Their food has been swapped since after that, though. We'll have to wait it out.

Ugh. Ember just got sick again. I don't think I've seen him eat anything in a while.

Something similar happened with my cat, she drooled a lot and kept barfing but she's better and we kept feeding her the same food When she went outside and ate some grass, she was better quickly. But you dont need to do what i did, just saying what happened to me. Hope your cats get better!

My parents think it's because we started giving them a different kind of food right after finishing off a big bag of something else. We bought a small bag of their other food, and we're seeing if they react the same way to that. If not, we're going to start mixing the two foods.
We often change it up because the cats are kinda picky eaters. They'll get tired of eating the same thing all the time, so we usually buy different flavors each time.

That's fine, my cats aren't picky eaters and eat the same food, I often give them a bit of my food though.

Copper will eat just about any human food you give him, but he's pickier when it comes to cat food.

Both my cats have some issues with throwing up a lot, but it's mainly due to their age. They are both over 10 now and have kidney issues, so we use some powder medicine type stuff from the vet and sprinkle it on their soft food to help. Where your cats are younger though this might not be it...I know a neighbor's younger cat was having similar issues, and what they did for him for a bit was only give him special hard food that you could only find at the vet. You could also try taking them off hard food (if they are on it?) and giving them a bit more soft food instead, and see if that helps any? Could be it's too hard on their systems or something.

They are on the dry food. I don't think any of them have gotten sick since 3 this morning. We'll have to wait and see, though.
I realize I forgot to mention Elvis's age. Elvis is almost 12.

Ah, yeah one of my cats is 12, and they are not related though they both have the kidney issues. It could be that, but that wouldnโt explain all three if the other two are so young I donโt think?
