Innocent and precious, this little to-be is anything but fragile. She doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. Roleplay starting! TheMysticHeart HorseCrazyGamer zebrs alliecat Dawnstar Dew That Collects On Leaf (Dew)Dew sleepily awoke from her mossy bed, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. She walked out of the palm tree and noticed she was the first awake. She walked over to the caught-prey pile and grabbed a Bluejay to eat. She started to pluck out the feathers. Then, she ate.

Palm that Sways in Wind
Palm stretched out in the dawn light and looked around the camp. Dew was eating beside the half full caught-prey pile. Although her stomach told her to go down and get something from the pile, but she didn't feel like talking to any cat. Instead, she slipped away to catch her own prey, deciding to go and see what prey she could catch in Thick Trees.

Echo of the Rising Sun
When Echo woke, she found small shafts of sunlight in an otherwise shady, hard space, with the ground to her back. Panic flooded through her, made her breathing heavy, until she remembered where she was. The Tribe camp. Home. The word surprised her. She already found herself at home, though, she realized. It was permanent. The cats were kind, the camp was well-built, and the caught-prey pile was always full. It was all permanent. Gently, she nudged the fluff of brown fur next to her. "Wake up, Lark," she whispered. The cat's eyes opened in surprise, filled with the usual life. "We're home now."
Lark That Soars Through Clouds
Home. Had Echo really said that? Had she meant it? The word seemed foreign, but hope and comfort warmed Lark from her nose to the tips of her paws. "The Tribe camp!" she yelped with a smile, scrambling out of the small dip in the ground that was the to-be den. Her eyes turned to slits at the bright light, watching in awe and pure joy at the cats milling around. She dashed over to the caught-prey pile, snatching something random and gulping it down. Echo gave a bright laugh, and Lark grinned at her. It was so good to hear her laugh again.

“Hi Lark, hi Echo!” Dew called. It was good to see that the To-bes were full of energy. “Don’t eat to fast or you’ll get a bellyache!” Dew purred in amusement. “Want to do some hunting training with me? The caught-prey pile is getting smaller, so it would be good to get some extra food.” Dew meowed, finishing her Bluejay.

Echo of the Rising Sun
Lark immediately rushed over to Dew, making Echo laugh. She was just like a little kit! She dashed after her to follow Dew. "Sounds fun. Let's show her what we're made of, Lark."

Palm could faintly hear the cheerful cries of the to-be siblings Echo and Lark as she departed for Thick Trees. She narrowed her eyes and trotted more swiftly among the branches. Family. Family had been so far from her for so long. A father she never knew, her mother, Cloud, and her sister, Sand, captured by the odd two legged creatures of the stone forests. And she, wandering among the trees in a tribe. The tribe her mother wished to join. Palm sighed and entered the thick patch of jungle, letting the work of hunting banish the thoughts from her mind.

Dew looked at Lark and Echo, amusement dancing in her eyes. “You’ll scare all of the prey from here to the mountains if you make all that noise!” She purred. It was a nice, sunny day out, purrect (sorry) perfect for training. “Let’s hurry up and get to the Training Tree, before all the prey goes to sleep! Just follow me, since you do not know the territory too well yet, but you will soon.” Dew meowed, whilst starting to trot towards a small gap in the barrier, with large oak trees growing on either side. She stopped at the part in between the oak trees and waited for the to-bes to come.

Lark That Soars Through Clouds
Lark quieted down but the same excitement shone in her eyes. Echo grinned, but Lark could tell she was embarrassed. She had known her her entire life, after all. Lark gave her a little nudge, to which Echo responded with a real, amused smile. Lark switched her bright gaze to Dew as they padded silently over to her. The Healer of the Tribe had been so kind, offering to heal them, when they had showed up, their fur tangled and dirty, scars trailing down their sides, and had immediately become Lark's role model. She was determined to impress her -- and learn everything she could.
Echo of the Rising Sun
Echo ducked her head, forcing a grin, at Dew's comment. She knew it was just playful teasing -- and she was glad that Dew was warming up to them already -- but she couldn't help but feel embarrassed. She could tell from Lark's eyes that she had noticed. Her sister was actually rather intelligent -- when she wanted to be. At Lark's nudge, Echo's face pulled into a natural smile. She turned to Dew. This was the one cat that hadn't turned them away. That hadn't abandoned them. The smile didn't fade as she followed the Healer. Maybe she was warming up to Dew, too.

Bat that flies by night:
Bat opened one eye slowly, quickly closing it as daylight flooded her senses. Bat much preferred nighttime. Stretching in place, Bat padded outside and spotted iguana and Shade talking to each other. Padding unquestioned towards a large tree, Bat climes the trunk like a spider and positioned herself on a thick cluster of branches before shooting her head out of the top canopy and sighing silently to herself. The climb may take an efort, but the view was grater than anything else Bat had ever seen, especially at nighttime. Bunching her haunches, Bat pounced towards a tree a short distance away and caught herself on an oddly thick branch near the top. Jumping around a few more times, Bat scurried backwards down the tree and lay down on her side in the shade of the tree she had just climbed down. Life in the tribe was good, and Bat was glad to be part of it.

Dew looked happily at the to-bes walking up to her. “Ok, let’s go!” She meowed, walking out into the jungle. She walked on a path of mud which already had a few fresh paw prints from the days before. She continued walking until she found the Training Tree. “Ok, let’s practice your mouse hunting.” She said in a quiet mew, pointing her ears in the direction of a mouse that was around five tail-lengths away that was nibbling a seed. “Remember, keep your feet light of the ground. Also, before you start, roll in the mud so it cannot see you.”

Twig woke up and opened one eye. He was already in a bad mood. His mood darkened further as he heard the other cats talking. What were they yabbering on about now? Grumpily he opened his other eye, stretched, and decided he better get up and see what food remained in the caught-prey pile. He slinked over the the pile and greedily ate a shrew before running off to avoid the other cats. He much preferred his own company. He decided to have a look around the territory and keep a watchful eye out for enemies. He had spent his whole life on guard and was no different now.

Lark That Soars Through Clouds
Lark looked tentatively towards her left, where the ground became soft and muddy. Wincing, she lightly tapped the surface with her paw and recoiled in disgust. Echo purred in amusement before getting on her back and rolling around, though the scowl that appeared on her face made it apparent she wasn't any happier about this than Lark was. It was Dew's expression -- like she wanted to laugh -- that made her dive and squirm around in the mud as the brown water sloshed against her fur. Finally, she leapt back from the puddle as if it were about to explode. Lark turned to Echo, taking in the beautiful snow-white and fawn brown of her pelt matted with mud, and neither could hold in their snickers. Then, at the same time, their mouths snapped shut, remembering Dew's advice. Embarrassment was clearly burning in Echo's eyes. Lark shook her head as though the clear it. Now that she had gotten the giggles out, it was time to be quiet.

The mouse heard the giggles and quickly ran away. “Now look what you have done!” Dew hissed, the amusement no longer in her eyes. She fixed Lark and Echo with a stern gaze. “Now we have to find another mouse! Keep quiet. And don’t bounce around either, cause then the mouse would feel the vibrations.” Dew’s gaze suddenly softened, as she remembered that these were to-bes and that they were bound to make mistakes. “Let’s find another mouse now, shall we?”.
