Fatal Error. Was hunting, went to pounce on a fish in the water. (I think I was in River Bend or River Corner) and the game crashed. Good find, I believe I've fixed this glitch for future builds of the game. Thanks for reporting! Minor error? If this was an error. Was in the mole's cave and a clawed rock turned into a mouse. When I killed the mouse, there was no prey drop. I've had three or four other mice that turned into a prey drop so I assume they all should? Windows 10 This is intentional behavior! You can rarely find prey in the mines if you're lucky. Although, it should have left a drop when you clawed it, very strange. The mice are brown like the mine's floor, so maybe it just sort of blended in? Apologies for the double post, but I encountered a fatal error: ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Destroy Event for object fade_in_from_black_obj: PerformEvent recursion depth failure - check for infinite loops, check objects for parenting at gml_Script_launch_mine_alert_dialog ############################################################################################ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- stack frame is gml_Script_launch_mine_alert_dialog (line 0) gml_Object_fade_in_from_black_obj_Destroy_0 What happened was that I went down a staircase in the mine right as I died. I seem to have been killed in the frame I touched the mine shaft. Good find, should be fixed in future builds. Major error (I think, unless I'm missing something) I've been exploring the cave system collecting gems etc. When I came back up to the surface cave and spoke to the original Mole he talks about exchanging all the gems I've found for Mole Cash. However when select to go to the Mole Cash shop, it doesn't give options for buying or selling, just opens straight into the buying screen. If I can only buy, how do I trade in the gems for Mole Cash? I believe this was the same for the mole I met on level 25, though I can't remember for certain. Some text has been updated to make it a bit more obvious that you have to give the gems as gifts, thanks for the heads-up!

Fatal error: It's the exact same one as in the original post. I was about to pounce on a fish in the river (not sure what grid square) and it immediately went to this... ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Draw Event for object player_obj:

Minor error: I noticed this on levels 81, 92, and 93 of the mole's cave (it possibly happens in others or could be random but this is where I noticed it). Some of the bats are flying beyond the borders of the cave, outside the playable area. Initially the bats are hovering in their place, when the bats notice you they make that "zip" noise and the music changes. After the bats have noticed you, instead of flying towards my cat character, the bats fly outside the border of the cave. Once the bat is beyond the border of the cave, I can get as close to them as I like with my cat and the bats won't chase anymore. On level 81 there are two bats on the left hand side that do this (seen in the attachment), level 92 has one bat on the left, and level 93 has one bat also on the left. All of them fly beyond the cave border and can't be interacted with beyond that point. Saved me killing a couple of bats, but it clearly isn't right

Minor bug: Right at the beginning of the tutorial I remapped my inventory key to "I" instead of "Z". Then after I got the goldenseal I was instructed to "Open your inventory (Z), select the Goldenseal, then hold it." The tutorial cat must not have known that I changed the inventory key.

Don't know what level of error this is, but I've been playing Cattails on a PC with Windows 7 on it, my input is Japanese IME and my keyboard layout is JIS. When using keyboard controls, if I push any key that changes input from English to Japanese, the game no longer reads most of my input, even if I change the input back to English.
I don't know if any other keyboard layouts and input methods can create this same issue.
I found a work around where if you switch the input back and use Esc (which is the only key it seems to still read when this happens), once you close the menu input returns to normal.

Minor Error: I use Lightshot, a program that allows you to crop and save screenshots. I was out exploring the world and attempted to take a screenshot by clicking the "PrtScn" button on my keyboard. No matter where I was in the world, my screen displayed and saved something similar to this image. The number of mews, the time of day, my health bar, and the active skills bar are all displayed correctly, but the hunger bar and location is not. At first, I though the rest of the image was black, when I took the screenshots and enhanced the brightness and contrast, I got this. Note that I was nowhere near my den when I took the screenshot, and my den is covered in prey and other items, while this one bare. My coat color is displayed correctly. Most of the time the cat is facing away from the camera, but it also appeared facing right. The orientation my cat was in when taking the screenshot had not effect of the orientation in the screenshot. Note: This error doesn't occur when Lightshot is not used. I am on Windows 10.

So far I've been really surprised I have not found many fun bugs to screw around with.
Minor Errors
Possibly, the only glitch I've seen a couple times is when I exit an area with a battle going on and come back I can make enemy cats disappear if they are in some perfect location on the edge of the screen. I sadly cannot figure out how to recreate it.
Major Errors (repeat)
The only thing that keeps becoming an issue is the already mentioned frame rate drop in the beach area, which I think is caused by the water animation. I figure this cause the game slows down when I'm exploring any of the land with large bodies of water or rivers inland, not just the beach areas.

The Game runs on my Win7 PC without Problems. Always 60FPS. Maybe it's your PC? What Specs do you have? Like CPU, Graphics, RAM etc.

I'd been playing to try to the break the game, but I haven't had many errors, though I did get this one: I had been hunting in the current then about to leap onto the prey but got caught on the rock instead. After that the fatal error window popped up and my game was shut down. I haven't had an issue when I relaunched it. I'm using Windows 7. Then a minor spelling error I've noticed is that both spellings of grey and gray are used. Grey Squirrel: The body of a grey squirrel. This little guy is having a grey day. Ticked Gray Color: A gray fur color with dark highlights for your cat.

THIS is a fatal error so, basically what happened was, I had just saved and exited cattails using the menu, and was watching youtube. A Norton notification popped up and said- Sonar.exe has detected a problem in cattails.exe. It then came up saying- Sonar.exe has removed the issue (don't know if thats exactly what it said but thats the message it got across) It then, restarted and I looked at cattails again, I clicked "Load" and looked at my saves. My save was gone Now it may have been an error with my laptop as it is my mums old computer, its a dell inspiron 1525 with windows vista. But if Norton is going to remove things and not windows vista or the laptop, there's an issue.
